Did this with the exact same card, if you don't want a rough surface apply lighter coats... bro just fucking went ham on the paint.

Use a 2 in 1 paint primer... primer always comes out blotchy!

Your prep work is fantastic. Your paint work however is horrendous. Multiple thin coats is the key not a couple thick ones.

Prep work is also horrendous....Im a pro industrial painter, and SHEEESH 240 sand paper is wayyy to harsh !!! and yess multiple tinny coat of paint, almost i you just want to ''fume'' the pieces not fully covered them.. like what 5-6 very very light coat would be muchh better :))

if u want to achieve a more "smooth" paint/feel, after you apply a thin layer of primer and let that completely dry, you can sand it down with some super fine sand paper (something like 1000grit or more) so you now have a smooth surface to spray on and then add a layer or two of white paint

Nah bro 120 is super fine, that will work a treat. I paint houses for a living so everyone, 120 grit for sanding after primer coat has dried then do super light coats until you have the right amount of white. Then 1 coat of clear for protection

this hurts my eyes man.... T^T
Clean parts with alcohol before sanding (this prevents any grease to be sanded inside the plastic)
use *steel wool* for sanding next time this prevents deep scratches and its easier to hit those hard to hit spots.
clean with a brush and cloth after
clean with alcohol or any degreaser again that does not effect plastic. (not kitchen soap)
hang everything up so it does not touch the ground.
use a plastic primer, with a fine muzzle. (put a light layer on it as thin as possible but still covering and go for the hard to hit spots first)
let dry and after and really lightly sand it again with the wool and clean with a duster and cloth.
then apply color (use a fine muzzle spraycap again)
NOW do a really light layers of paint , try to go for the hard to hit spots first lightly and let it dry then the whole thing (fans inner blade corners for example.)
no need to rush the first layer does not have to cover all at once take your time.
      why hang the items up?
so filth cant get on it easily, and you can do both sides in 1 go, and you can get easy to the hard to hit spots .
a airbrush would be best to paint the gpu
**also try to apply the paint as thin as possible because after spray painting your fans will not be balanced anymore and they can break faster**
P.S my English is not great

    @davidsivak5142 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

1.) I would recommend starting with 400-600 grit and doing a wet sand can be helpful, then finish with 800-1000 for a much smoother look.
2.) You should warm up the spray can a little bit, shake and then keep warming it up until you don't feel the can become cold while shaking.
4.) Then spray a bit into some cardboard just to make sure you get any ugly paint out stuck in the nozzle.
3.) It's best to hang the pieces if possible and spray from further away.
4.) Spray in an upward angle if possible as that is how spray paint can was designed to be used.
5.) Spray very lightly and you first 1-2 coats should not completely cover the object.
6.) You usually only need to wait 20-30 mins in between coats unless the directions on the can say otherwise.
7.) It may be a pain but multiple lightly applied coats will give you a much better result. (minimum of 4 coats.)
8.) Move it somewhere out of the sun, and if possible a dry area will let it cure faster.

Your spray paint nozzle is clogged or dirty, that's why you have blobs coming out. Painting the fan will unbalance and reduce the life of it... i believe.

The reason that turned out so bad is because you prayed way too much paint on there your first two or three coats should barely even Coatel the thing they should be extremely thin coats or else get bubbles and puddling better yet just don't do it keep your warranty or just buy a white GPU instead

Nobody ever used fine line idk why? Also if you wet the area around where your painting it holds down the dirt so it dies t end on your surface.
I'm also not a fan of painting fans because it can lead to wobbling if its not perfectly done.

its not a good move to paint the fans, the weight gets unbalanced and it reduces their performance, they will also die a lot faster, its better to look for some fans that are white already and just paint the plastic cover of the gpu

    • @archetype_origins
