This is what Southern Gospel Music looked like and sounded like back in the days when it was contagious and made a difference.....one of my favorites!

Lovely seeing Antony Burger sing. Not only the best pianist ever, but he can sing as well! He's singing before the Throne of God now.

I love this song "Glory Road" written by Conrad Cook and these guys do a fabulous job singing it. Love and miss Anthony and also miss Kirk Talley not singing anymore.

They did...also cut a great cd and sang together for quite some time! This was a really big song for The Trio as it was called. Anthony could absolutely do anything and he had music in every fiber of his being. He is extremely missed so much by all who knew and loved him. His talent, as great as it was, not the most wonderful thing about him. It was his soul and his spirit.

Anthony was a really nice person when the Kingsman used to come to Indy He would always find me and my late brother and talk to us....
What a priceless video. Until today I knew Anthony Burger as the best pianist ever. Now I heard him sing and was blown over. I'm sure every day in heaven he is tickling the ivories and singing praises to our Lord.
Anthony would routinely sing when he was with the Kingsmen as an extra baritone when needed. He usually had a mic in front of him when he was with them. He and the band would be featured on one song by themselves most nights. If he were still with us today and with a group, he would likely be doing both due to the constriction of the industry.
Gone so young. The angels welcomed him to Glory with precious sounds we have never heard.
Anthony Burger was an amazing pianist. May his beautiful soul rest peacefully. Thanks for posting and sharing this beautiful trio. ❤️🌹👫🙏🏼

I sat down as a teen in Dayton, TN with Anthony. He played Glory Road eight different ways while I sat next to him. He looked at me as I only played with him with my right and he he asked me why. I said while smiling. I don't won't to get the way of perfection.

I wrote Glory Road on Labor Day of 1989. I wrote the song to demonstrate to Richard and Charlie Bishop why similar languages are irritating. Speakers of one language don't like a sister language. I started off with Spanish and Portuguese lines alternating. The chorus is written in Flemish with the descant part in Rhodham. Then I wrote the main thought in Flemange with a descant in Flemish. Then I translated the chorus into German and the descant into Germon. Then I translated the chorus into Italian and the descant part into Maltese. Then I translated the chorus into Grimme and the descant is in Flemish. Then I translated the chorus into Ukrainian and the descant into Russian.

I wrote Glory Road on Memorial Day of 1989. I was in my first battle with lymphoma and thought I might be facing death. My high school friend Rob Bahlmer had passed away the Wednesday before Easter that year; I thought I would be joining him soon.
