When you need fire for whatever reason, be it lighting up a dark shrine or melting ice or whatever, don't burn your wooden weapons. Instead, attach a fire fruit to an arrow but DO NOT FIRE IT. Just hold the shot indefinitely. You get the light and heat from the fire arrow that'll do whatever you need, albeit at close range, and when you're done you can cancel the shot and it won't count as using any resources. Free fire whenever you need it. There's at least one shrine this makes completely trivial.

What’s most impressive about this game is you can be playing this game for hours and every hour it feels new and like you just started playing every area has its own challenges or something new to see. Like at first the caves were basics the further you get from the starting area they start to become deeper and lead you into new areas or shrines

A useful trick about a specific kind of fusion I've found handy: you can get around the downside of Gloom weapons (does gloom damage to you while holding them) by simply attaching them as fusion material to another weapon-so you gain all the upside of their immense attack power, without any of the downsides, while also increasing their range and possibly changing them to a more preferable weapon type.

puffshroom is a godsend for dealing with high tier enemies. Blind em, then sneakstrike them to conserve durability. It's even better if you use an eightfold blade from a yiga then fuse it with a strong blunt material. It's much more useful since you can break enemies armor with that weapon.

One thing, about breaking boxed etc. with Ultrahand.. and it's a carry-over from BotW. A box or barrel in motion will break %100 of the time where as, if you hold it still when you get it up in the air, it's more likely it won't break. Moving side to side or dropping while it's on the way up is going to make it WAY more easier to break boxes etc. on your first try. 16:35 Combat Tip - When a Stone Talus throws its fist / boulder at you like that, you can use Recall on the fist / boulder to send it flying back at it and hit it hard (it'll usually go to ground afterwards too, allowing you to climb up). You need very quick reflexes but if you just make sure you have Recall ready to go at the press of L when in battle with a Talus, you can watch it get ready to hurl its hand at you, then just press L several times until there is a boulder you can click and send back at. Similarly check this with other things enemies throw at you, like Hinoxes, Like Likes and more 😊

Here's a tip: Your shield can function as a weapon too! You can fuse it with Swords or other sharp monster parts (like Silver Lynel Saber Horn) and it can do stuff like cut grass or even trees when you use Shield Bash (Parry)
Or you can fuse it with blunt type materials like boulder or Savage Lynel Mace Horn so it can break enemy's armor or mine ores with it.
Of course it will use up the shield's durability, my pot lid + boulder can mine 10 ores before breaking, for a pot lid it's not bad.
And if you use a high damaging Monster Materials like the Lynel Horns it's very possible to beat enemies with only shields!

    Quick map tip:
Water on Hyrule surface represents the stone structures (pillars and rock walls) of the depths. Meaning: anywhere there's water above you on the map, there's going to be a giant stone structure.
So if you're navigating the depths in the dark, You can change your mini map to reflect the surface while you're still in the depths. Go to your menu and change the map to the surface and then exit. Now you have a somewhat functional mini map for areas in the depths that you haven't explored yet.

That was a good video but the tips are for extremely new players to the game. Here are some more advanced ones without any exploits:
    1. When you approach a cave entrance a swarm of bats fly out. Hit them with a bomb arrow and you'll get about 20 eyes.
    2. Mark mines, small enemy camps and bosses in the depths. These are the main source of zonite and are essential if you want full batteries and easier exploration at the surface. Don't leave the depths for end game. The central depth areas are not that hard.
    3. If you want to fly for longer periods of time do not use wings as these last for about 2 minutes and then they disappear. Instead make a simple device with a wooden platform that you can then autobuild with the autobuilder with about 10-20 zonite.
    4. Don't let your best weapons break. Octos are everywhere and they fully repair your weapons.
    5. You can always gain height by attaching a bomb on your shield.
    6. You can use ascent to get on top of a talus and easily beat it. Just go bellow its belly:D
    7. Find the stable that is turned to a newspaper. This will unlock the fairy quest line for upgrades.

I have some BIG hints about how the depths work, but I do want to put SPOILER warning on this. As far I know, no NPC tells you this, and I can say figuring out how it works on my own was one of the profound and rewarding epiphanies I felt playing the game.
Minor SPOILERS first, as I give a hint: Look very carefully at the names of the shrines and the names of the lightroots. This is what clued me in to the whole thing...
OK, now full SPOILERS about the depths: so, I encountered a shrine called Teniten Shrine, and I made my stupid DENOUTTADEN jokes. Then some time later, I found a lightroot called Netinet Lightroot. Whoa...wait...why does that feel familiar...and why do I suddenly want to say NEDATTUONED?
Teniten Shrine...Netinet Lightroot...oh my god, they're backwards! Then I pulled out my map, and wow, I can see they stacked on top of each other.
Zooming out on the map and hitting up and down...oh my god, even with my low map completion at the time, I exclaimed how many of them overlap each other! And that's when I realized, every shrine on the surface has a lightroot corresponding to it in the depths, in the same x and y location. It's up to you, of course, to figure out the z.
This is HUGE revelation, because if you have a lightroot without a shrine or a shrine without a lightroot, you can place a marker and more easily track its counterpart. It won't ALWAYS be obvious because some shrines are hidden deep in caves, and again, you need to figure out the z location, but I can't tell you how much easier this made finding things and opening the maps up.
Now, reflect (pun intended) on the backwards naming convention, and then study the topography of both map, and you may be clued into another major epiphany about the depths...
That's right - the topography of the depths is, in GENERAL, a reflection of the surface. That is - anything that's a mountain in the surface is actually a crater in the depths, and vice-versa. This became blaringly obvious to me even after the shrine/lightroot revelation above as I visited Death Mountain and then did the Goron main quests...but maybe others won't visit Eldin quite as early as me, hence my tip.
This will totally change how you relate the depths and the surface. Suddenly, rivers on the surface (mild but traversable obstacles) become impassable walls. There's a particular shrine within a winding spiral on the beach on the surface, and that becomes a walled in mine of the same shape in the depths. How cool is that! Both encourage you to follow the spiral shape, but the mine is essentially required for you to run the gamut of the spiral.
Then, you'll realize how the devs managed to accomplish the ridiculous feat of developing an entirely separate Hyrule map in the depths - it's just a reflection of the main surface, shrines/lightroots and all.
But if you're like me, you won't be angry or disappointed - you'll be awed by the brilliance of this. Because yes, this was almost certainly a clever cost/time cutting measure, but its one that somehow ACTIVELY makes the game better. It rewards players for pattern recognition, and helps you conquer the seemingly hostile depths in tandem with your exploration on the surface. GENIUS.
It reminds me very much about the Light Word/Dark World relationship in Link to the Past/Link Between Worlds - though you don't have a Magic Mirror to take you back on a dime. Still, exploring the Light World and the Dark World in the "Link to the" games was done in tandem, and understanding how the worlds relate and their patterns was key.
This is THAT - done in full 3D, and without anyone ever telling you how it works. (Well, except me. But I really wanted to flap my gums about it, and I did warn you about spoilers.)
    Bravo, Aonuma and team. Bravo.

I think the coolest part about this game is what also makes it harder than BOTW. Puzzles can be a lot less straightforward. You often have to think experimentally to do something.
I just did one shrine with this rotating wheel and two fans. Once I solved the shrine itself, I was left wondering how I get up to the chest on a high platform. So I ended up pulling off a fan, putting it against the platform, using ultra hand to lift it up, let it fall, get on, then use recall to rise up. The sheer finicky nature of trying to get Link to jump onto one of those fans leaves me wondering if that's the intended solution, but it certainly felt like I had come up with something. That's really amazing game design.

If u are running out of battery mid flight, dont waste zonaite charges, all u need to do is just deploy a temporary cooking pod, cook a meal. You may steer clear of the labyrinth challenges this time around but they are actually quite cool and rewarding this time.
And it pays off for reading the journals at the beginning.
The journal literally tells you to follow the nuts / acorns that Tauro (researcher guy from Kakariko) left and it leads you right to the center.
So long as IF you are collecting as you run last them, you finish the route. They lead you right to the end.
When doing the air segment, track the quest and it puts the 4 consoles on your map so you have a general idea where they are
And then of course, if you dont have the sky dive outfit at rank 2 or above know to slow down as you get the deep horn sound effect of entering the depths as the floor in the underground section leading to the boss is actually higher than the lights indicate.
    Save your a silly death
Also dont be like me and forget to activate / complete the shrine in the land sections.
Theres always a shrine in the land and air. Which technically if you approach by air first you have a pretty nifty warp point as its on the "space" altitudes which gives a good jumping point for specific dragons.
Akkala one for example is perfect for jumping onto Dinraal

In this game you gotta Fuse two or three icons to create a proper "Icon System".
    Mine so far:
    - I use 3 stars in a triangle for Geoglyphs. (Be sure to always fully zoom in, so they are close enough that they look like 1 icon from far away).
    - 1 star for places I want to go. I see from far away, looks cool in the map, or I know is good, etc.
    - I put a star fused with a mine if it is a 'mine' I saw from far away.
    - Or a star plus a heart right below if it is a 'place' I saw, liked, but want to come back, or I saw from the distance, or if I do know it (from BofW) and want to go, like my house in Hateno or Terry Town, or that shield surfing place in a snowy mountain.
    - If I already went, and it is indeed good, I remove the star, and leave the heart if I trully liked the place, or the mine if it is a good mine, etc.
    - Monsters I beated I put 2 monster icons, one just right below the other (while zooming-in).
    - If I loved it but haven't beat it, 1 monster icon + 1 heart icon right below.
    - If I saw it from far, and want to come back I put just 1 monster.
    - Some good mini-bosses I liked I put 2 monsters and 1 heart in a triangle. (2 monsters for having beat it and 1 heart for liking it or wanting to come back).
    - Koroks I want to do (as you guys said) are a leaf. If done, I remove the icon. If I loved it, I put a heart just below the default korok icon.
    - Fairies are going to be 3 leafs (like in BofW) although they have a little default icon as well.
    - Important NPCs are obviously the person icon, but the idea is to try to clear them all. (I don't start too many side quests, but I'm doing the construction guy now (for whom I have mixed feelings) but if I don't have the time I leave a person icon. Same with that bird in horse stables when still not done.
    - Shrines are obviously the diamond. Remove it when reaching them.
    - Oh, caves are the pot icon. I don't mark real pots, just know them. Wells are pots as well plus the default icon when reached. If done, I remove the icon.
    - If I loved it, I leave a heart below the default well (like Zelda's I just reached today) removing the pot.
    - I still don't know what to do with towers, I had just pin them and go asap.
    AND SO FAR.
Edit: - Cherry Blossoms will be 3 mine icons in triangle shape (that look almost like 1 while zoomed-out). I guess there aren't too many mines in the surface either.
    - Towers can be 3 diamond icons in triangle.

When fighting Flux Constructs use ultra hand to pull blocks away from the construct. After about five blocks the construct will fall apart leaving you to attack the weak box, start with the hands first so he can’t smack you. When the construct goes into the sky and shoots blocks at you dodge and hit the nearest box with recall before hoping on, you will ride the block back to the top of the construct right where the weak block is and can attack it.

    * Stock up on Puffshrooms and Dazzlefruits. They're especially helpful with mobs of any size.
    * You've probably seen one or two instances where there's a wall between a horde of constructs and bokoblins. Let. them. fight. Burn down the typically-wooden wall and let them fight it out before you swoop in.
    * Goes without saying: go in on any hard battles with full hearts. Getting hit with a fatal blow without full hearts kills you; otherwise, the game "saves" you with 1/4th heart left.
