Its so funny (and sometimes frustrating) that they often get into so many long debates on a question which was already answered but they missed it.
It was already said that Homelander has NO biological dad or mom. They used Soldier Boy's DNA from his sperm to create Homelander in the lab. They didn't need an egg because it was not that kind of a test tube baby, it was more like a clone with some upgrades.

Stuff like when mm confronted him about killing his family, and SB response was “which one?”
And a couple other references which while racist, were funny… but only because of how dated, and spot on for SB’s built tough guy act for the show. Saying mean shit to act tough.
In the comics SB is genuinely squeaky clean and doesn’t break the law… like genuinely just a not bad person… but a coward when it comes to actual danger…. The writer of the comic hated super hero’s so if they weren’t outright evil then they were douches, drug addicts, incompetent, and or cowardly.

Homelander is the strongest and most durable character in THIS universe. Homelander survived a nuclear blast, there’s nothing Victoria can do to hurt him and she knows it and that’s why she doesn’t even risk it. If she was able to hurt him she wouldn’t have turned against Edgar and wouldn’t be scared of Homelander ripping her spine out. 🤦🏽♂️

Your count is off. Butcher has taken the V five times at this point and Hughie has taken it four times. First time (Butcher only) was when he killed Gunpowder. Next in Russia. Then when they went down to Crimson Countess's. Then Herogasm. Finally, this episode getting Mindstorm.

Because unlike Starlight, Frenchie does need saving, and it’s not like he’s oblivious to that fact. Both Hughie and Kimiko want to protect their lovers, but Starlight is a supe and Frenchie isn’t. Also, Kimiko isn’t insecure about her “supeless” self and would pretty much prefer not having powers if it weren’t for her feelings for Frenchie. Hughie on the other hand is extremely insecure about himself and how weak he is compared to everyone he’s around, which is the number one reason he took the V. Long story short, Kimiko took it for selfless reasons, Hughie took it for selfish reasons.

Apples and oranges. Hughie was until that point a relatively innocent person. He was a normal dude who through extraordinary circumstances killed Translucent. Kimiko, has never had a childhood, was broken and moulded into a killing machine even before the V. She doesn't know how to be a normal person, whereas Hughie is choosing the trauma that defined her childhood/young adult life

A little missed easter egg: Soldier Boy says that you’ll die from dehydration from Mindstorm’s hypnosis. We also heard during the Noir and Edgar talk, in Nicaragua, that Gunpowder is the only one who wouldn’t go along with the plan; in the aftermath, you can see Mindstorm giving Gunpowder water, Mindstorm used his powers on Gunpowder

You guys are too young to get the reference, but when Soldier Boy said ,"Move on up," he was being racist. It was a reference to "The Jeffersons," a sitcom from the 70's, that centered ln a black family who made a lot of money from a family owned business and was able to "move on up" to the East Side of New York City. It's a line from the theme song of the show.

I don't think you guys need to think too hard about who the egg donor was genetics wise. The most important detail about Homelander's conception was that he was made in a lab. So they could've just added the desired traits they wanted

The last time they shot up there was still more in the vial and you can see it in the scene where they talk about self medicating. They just didn't notice and I guess didn't have enough faith in Butcher to think he might be lying. Which is fair enough and so that's why I commented it. Also why would he choose that moment specifically to tell him that? If it were really true he would have told him sooner or way later, but telling him right after that phone call is too coincidental. If anything your comment would spoil them more as when they read just mine they would only think it's my opinion/pov.

I think Stormfront being Homelander's biological mom makes perfect sense. In the comics Stormfront was male and was Homelander's biological father. And he has all these mommy issues, in season one he was sleeping with his mother figure... how much would it mess with his head if he found out that he was literally sleeping with his mother when he was with Stormfront? Would push him completely over the edge... and would be kinda sickly "full circle".

I believe that was within the same 24 hours as the Herogasm part so I think it should still be 3 times for Hughie and 4 times for Butcher.

I wasn't shocked by the Homelander and Soldier Boy connection. If you go back to the beginning of the season. There were some parallels between them until the reveal. It makes sense honestly.
Butcher’s logic may be that since him and Hughie have already taken so many, they’re dead already and should continue the mission so they don’t die for naught.

@Mahad that's exactly what everybody forgets about this season. Hughie and butcher have a plan, however dangerous and scummy it may be, and MM and Annie are going on the power of hope. They could have literally stopped the biggest threat to the world but no, they instead decide to "draw the line" because it's "wrong". This whole season was lackluster in my opinion. The greatest point was the fighting in herogasm and the twist in this episode but the rest didn't feel like it lived up to its potential.
