Nepotism, baby! It's everywhere! He seems like a nice guy and all, but there are millions of great actors looking for work, and he gets in because of who his parents are. I have mixed feelings about it, but he does a good job here and he does fit the part.

@@gogousa6661 Yeah, he's very likeable, and he fits the part really well, even though it was drawn to be Simon Pegg. He even appeared as a guest on a Best of the Worst episode on Red Letter Media, and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I'm just very cautious about dynasties, and it happens a lot more in some industries, like entertainment, which are nearly impossible for everyone else.

In the comic, he was the likeness for Hughie. Like any page, you can't see anybody else. But it's been long enough, he isn't young enough to play him any more, so he came in as his dad.

This is going to be one of the illest and gnarliest show you ladies every experience. Homelander’s actions alone are worth reacting to. He is one best villains in recent years. Antony Starr does excellent work bringing the character to life. Awesome picks guys, you displayed excellent taste.

Fun fact in the comics Hughie is based off of Simon Pegg and they wanted him to play Hughie but he was too old for it but they still got him to play his dad

Not true. Both season two and three dropped the first three episodes all at once and then went weekly. That drop in the ratings didn't happen until season three got up and running.
The show got review bombed because a certain segment of people took until season three to realise that the show hates them and everything they stand for. You know the ones. The show isn't subtle about it.

Or go check social media posts and find who it was around S3 time who was posting "Wait, when did this show get all political? Are they making fun of me? 1/5 review."

The emergence of proud neo-nazis, them getting the shaft (rightfully so) pissed off a lot of sensitive white man-childs. They do it with every show containing powerful women now. +The React Pack I think you’re going to love this! This show is soo soo much fun and just sooo current and relevant today.
I really enjoyed this reaction and I hope you decide to incorporate more live action into your lineup…because not that I dislike animation I just have a really hard time getting into it an only follow through with very few animated shows (I loved Legend of Vox Machina, Invincible, Avatar Last Airbender, and Harley Quinn on HBOMAX).
Here’s some liveaction shows that I think would be great for your channel and get you some subscribers and views because people generally enjoy reaction videos for them….plus they are just great shows:
Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Stranger Things, and any MCU aka Marvel live action content. (p.s. Walking Dead isnt very scary compared to most horror/zombie content…it’s more about the people and their relationships/conflicts and the zombies are more of just part of the world).
Just a friendly suggestion ;) it’s your channel you do what makes things enjoyable for you but definitely think certain live action content could be a great addition.

To me Hughie looks less like Will Ferrell + Andrew Garfield and more like Dennis Quaid mixed with some Meg Ryan or something.
The guy playing Hughie's dad has a character based on him in the comic. In the comic, the dad's face is Hughie's face. So that is why he was given the dad role for the show

They're actually a parody of the Justice League. Superman as Homelander, Queen Maeve as Wonder woman, etc. Speakinh of justice league you guys should really check out Zack Snyder's Justice League!! Great movie

Hughie also played Marvel from District 1 in the Hunger Games who killed Rue, but yeah this series gets better, more disgusting, and just goes beyond imagination, this show doesn't pull punches and just makes fun of pop culture and superhero tropes

the real actor here is Anthony playing Homelander.. love his acting.. you will see more craziness and probably get green goblin kinda vibe but not cheeky like goblins but arrogant like Omniman

@@TheReactPack It's an easy mistake. The Boys originally started as a parody of DC heroes [Homelander is a Superman parody not Captain America. The uniform reflects Superman's catchphrase 'Truth, Justice and the American Way' ] but it later includes Marvel heroes. The 7 are all parodies of the Justice league members but we'll eventually get to see their marvel parodies. We'll meet their version of Captain America later.

Well, this is a video I never expected to pop up on my feed. I think this is my favourite ongoing show. Season 1 was great, Season 2 was a step down, but still pretty fucking great, Season 3 is some of the best storytelling I've ever seen.
