agreed. rollback states ";this effect becomes that normal traps effect when THAT card is activated." if it said when that EFFECT is activated, it would not work.
Here's a tricky ruling I was forced to make the other day. Can "Destiny Hero Diamond Dude" activate the effect of "Numeron Creation" sent to the GY by its effect. I ruled that it can't, because the Spell cannot apply "attach this Spell from the field" (mandatory) to the Xyz monster it summons. Another judge brought up the fact that "Phantom of Chaos" copying the effects of Number 38 Hope Harbinger, can activate its Spell negate effect, even though it cannot attach the Spell to itself (mandatory). I countered with the fact that Transaction Rollback's 2nd effect cannot copy the effect of Xyz Reborn which special summons and attaches itself because Transaction Rollback cannot be attached from banishment.
So if got this right, Transaction Rollback doesn't have to pay cost (due to copying effects), but it DOES have to match the activation conditions, such as targeting and the field state. Does that about sum it up?
It is exactly like Diamond Dude Turbo way back, but for trap. Or for slighty more modern case, Verte copying Superpoly, you can bypass the discard cost, but at the same time, it doesn't have "spell speed 4" condition because those were the property of Superpoly itself, not Verte.

If that's the case and you used, say, Raigeki Break as in the video, to target a card that has an effect that can activate when targeted, such as Maiden with Eyes of Blue or Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, would those cards be able to be activated in response? As an extension to that question, what about Jizukiru the Star Destroying Kaiju? That effect responds to an effect that targets 1 card and no other cards. Can you use that in response to a Transaction Rollback targeting Raigeki Break then "targeting" Jizukiru?
Why wouldn’t you be able to do that? The Kaiju example is more interesting but the Kaiju would be responding to the Transaction Rollback which is targeting exactly one card itself. Transaction Rollback is a disaster of card design though and I hope it gets banned somewhat quickly
This is wrong when targeting it at activation of Transaction Rollback. You cannot proceed to Battle Phase after activating Transaction Rollback on the field by targeting Heavy Duster Storm because you are now under the restriction of activating the card "Heavy Duster Storm". "After activating/resolving this card" conditions are still applied when you activate Transaction Rollback by copying them.@@6210classick
I was wondering this too since this came up on duelingbook when I was playing rated. Is that trap still able to be activated? Is the sentence after the first clause part of the activation effect?
i got a question about Transaction Rollback, if i activate Transaction Rollback second effect: "You can banish this card from your GY and pay half your LP, then target 1 Normal Trap in your GY, except "Transaction Rollback"; this effect becomes that card's activation effect." while i have Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle on the field, does Transaction Rollback second effect treat as activation of Normal Trap Cards? if so, does it mean that my opponent cannot cannot activate monster effects in response to Transaction Rollback second effect?
literally wouldnt matter a called by for spell/traps would have to target and banish on resolution, which means you can just chain transaction rollback to that or if they shotgun it before you can "call by" it, it will be too late
Just want to point something out in regard to mandatory effects that target. It does not cause a card to necessarily resolve without effect if there’s no target. An example of would be the mandatory of Majestic Star Dragon to return to Extra Deck even if there’s no Stardust Dragon in the GY.
I literally asked this question last night regarding branded banishment, thanks for the video! So if I'm interpreting correctly, the targeting window would still be the same as usual?
I think what is the most relevant question: Does Transaction Rollback get the lingering effect of EEV? I would think not since it wasn’t the actual card itself. Similar to Verte!
Okay, so let me get this straight: It doesnt copy maintenance costs, but it does copy activation conditions since they're what allow the activated effect to fire off? Even though the card just says "this effect becomes that card's activation effect." Like, the way thats written, it sounds like you just get to skip everything. This card needs an errata just for clarification, or it needs to be banned because its admittedly unhealthy.
It's activation cost, not maintenance costs. The way it's written it's quite clear you'd need the activation requirements; that's why it's specifically worded like that and not just copies the effect.
With "Break the Destiny" could you use transaction rollback to copy the banishing effect that adds a spell/trap? Or what about the eldlich traps banish effects?
No, transaction rollback copies the effects that activate when the card is on field, not the graveyard effects. So whatever would happen if you activated the card on the field, that’s what you can copy with rollback.
Transaction Rollback should be able to copy the effect of EEV, but it should not last for 3 turns if it is copying it from the graveyard. That is the only thing the "this card's activation" applies to. The duration of how long EEV or similar cards last.
@@EltonLeonidas There is not at this time, which is why everyone is using the standard "ask your HJ" statement. This really comes down to a localization issue imo where additional or incorrect text is added to a card. Either we will see an errata or likely HJs will just follow the OCG ruling, or make their own for that event. We don't have official TCG rulings anymore and we really have nothing else to rely on aside from the OCG and database.
You cannot just copy some parts of the same effect and ignore those that don’t fit the narrative. It’s all one effect and if you cannot apply it, you can’t copy it.
@@pazim96 That is not true at all as we are already ignoring cost, but not activation requirements. The only thing that matters is that activation requirements for the card being copied are met. Until Konami gives us a definitive answer, and good luck with that one here, I can likely see this being the main way it is ruled or it will be ruled to follow in line with the OCG. Rarely would I see it ruled as being an illegal play for EEV to be targeted. There is no other precedent set for this on either side of the game. What I am seeing discussed by other judges is exactly what I am saying in my original post at this time. It would apply the effect it has that can be copied, which is to check the hand and field and destroy the selected type, but the lingering effect would not be applied until the card was errata'ed to match the OCG version of the card. The card being referenced in the argument against it, Extinction on Scheduled, does not have any effect to copy aside from the delayed effect. This card also does match its OCG counterparts text which is why it is ruled that it cannot be targeted in the graveyard by Transaction Rollback in the OCG and everyone here is agreeing with that.
According to yacine you are allowed to copy eev with rollback however you will only destroy the declared card spell/trap during that turn only and not for the next 3 turns

imagine having a consistent rules book, couldn't be yugioh. i wonder if now that a good card can copy trap cards we will get some "rules additions" to make it consistent between ocg and tcg as otherwise that would be super messy for worlds
How about Non Agression Area? Is it possible to use it with Transaction Rollback without having to discard a card? Also, would you only be able to do this during your standby phase, as that is a criterion for Non Aggression Area?
It's still bad. You'd make it so rollback and non aggression area are in the gy. You pass. Your opponent plays their turn. If you survive and they pass then you can activate the rollback to copy for it to take effect the next turn. Takes too damn long
yes you can use it with non agression area, if both are on your grave next turn you can activate trasaction roll back from grave to copy it's effect, transaction roll back can skip costs like discarding cards or sacrificing monsters but the activation restricion still apply such as must control n numbers or during the combat step when a monster declares an atack or during the end step need to be met in order to activate
Could you transaction rollback a witch’s strike? Do you have to do it in chain, can it be activated as chain 1 after a negate has happened on the board?
MST.tv can you do a explaination on how transaction rollback works with rise to full heights does the trap target in the gy need to stay there for the effect to resolve
Since the Mayakashi card has no activation requirement and only a cost which is to tribute a Mayakashi Link or Synchro, ya will simply ignore the cost and apply the rest of the card
The confusion here is activation condition vs activation cost. What it means by meeting conditions is that it's a proper timing to activate it. Like you cannot just Transaction Rollback an Evenly Matched at any time, it still must meet the activation requirement: end of the battle phase + your opponent controls more cards than you.
What happens when you use transaction on field to copy an opponents imperm? I know you need to target but do you copy the negate of the coloum cause transaction was set or only the negate.
i remember reading that copying eev wouldnt destroy any cards, it would just let you see the opponents cards because you didnt tribute and call a card type
Hmm, If I ruled it at an event,... I would just copy what the Local Continent YCS does and keep it consistent. What I can do, is email Konami directly and get an answer TCG R&D, we've had difference in rulings via Card Text in TCG and OCG from Amorphactor Pain, Altergeist Manifestation, we had to play by the card text I:P vs Rullkallos, or TCG VS OCG on if a monster needs to be in the correct place to activate (call of the haunted vs Stratos). If i don't have an answer from anywhere, I would probably not allow the GY effect to legally activate it until a new text change occurred. As judges we cannot break policy or established precedent of a function rule just to make a wonky effect copy for the sake of convenience.
@@MSTTVan official update to this would be good. I too thought it would copy the initial destruction effect, but not be able to copy the lingering effect. There really needs to be an official rules page dropped with cards like these, they cause so many rulings nightmares.
This is a dumb way to rule it. If you cannot apply the entire effect, you cannot apply any of the effect. "3 turns after this card's activation" IS PART OF THE EFFECT. Transaction Rollback's 2nd effect cannot target Xyz Reborn because it cannot attach itself from banishment. You can't just choose to apply only the part of the effect which special summons an Xyz monster. That's an illegal activation, no different to trying to target EEV with TR in GY. Anybody parroting that EEV only applies for 1 turn when TR's 2nd effect copies it is completely ignorant. @@DonMarzzoni
If i already used the 2nd effect of lovely but then activate rollback in a new chain (same turn) to copy big welcome, can lovely use its 2nd effect again? Or simple: Can i use the 2nd effect of her twice per turn with rollback?
No, because it's one of the following effects that can be use once per turn. Once you used her second effect on the same turn, you can't use her effect again
If you try to copy a Trap that equips itself with TR's second effect, isn't this technically impossible since TR isn't considered the same card the effect of which you activated, after it has been banished for cost? The card that the effect would require to be equipped to a monster has changed location here.
Even with Transaction Rollback 1st effect, it's not possible despite the card is still in valid position. Bacically, you cannot copy cards that summon or equip themselves, but you can copy cards that attach themselves as materials.
@@mavisb.vermilion5881 Yeah, because they ruled it that way but I'm not sure why they did that. It's even more bewildering, if you can copy effects to attach the card as material. How is that fundamentally different from equipping it or even summoning it? In all three cases the trap card does something that is unusual for traps.
I am waiting on final confirmation before I drop a FINAL video on the matter. I have emailed Konami directly and I did get an answer, but I need to wait for their confirmation.
The cost is paid when you activate a card/effect, not when it resolves. So when you declare you will use Transaction Rollback, half of your LP is already deducted. If you decide to chain it, yes you can pay with half of the the remaning half of your LP. So if you pay 4k for Transaction Rollback, you will only need to pay 2k for the next card.
I need to ask something about transaction Rollback Wen you copy for example welcome labrynth to special a Monster from Deck, and you have the field spell on Board from labrynth, can you Pop a card with that too?
No, you are activating Transaction Rollback, you are not activating a "Welcome Labrynth" card. That bonus is only added to the "Welcome Labrynth" cards.
What if you transaction rollback, Target raigeki break, and then target FOR raigeki break’s copied effect and then the targeted Raigeki Break gets DD Crow’d??
Well labyrinth barrage says the cards resolution where as eradicator says cards activation. It's weird because I would assume just like you are only activating an effect and not a card, the same would apply to resolving effect as card. I thought the eev was illegal because looking at punctuation it looked like declaring was part of the cost which is bizarre imo.
Would love a clarification on the PSCT or your interpretation on the card "Non Aggression Area". There is some interesting wording that could be interpreted subjectively
It's pretty straightforward, there's nothing much to it. 1) can only be activated during your Standby Phase 2) The cost is discarding 1 card As long as it is your Stand Phase, ya can use Transaction Rollback to copy Non Aggression Area
@@6210classickI dont see why its that straight forward. There are other cards with conditions in the cost, so theres a posibility it does not need to be during the standby here

Diamond Dude activates the effect of the other card; Transaction Rollback doesn't, it only copies the effect. It is more clear if you look at the ocg text. On Diamond Dude card, it says "you CAN ACTIVATE the activation effect of that normal spellcard in the GY". As opposed to Transaction Rollback, it simply says "this effect becomes the same as that normal trap card's activation effect", it does NOT state that you can activate the activation effect. The activation of Transaction Rollback is you copying the effect of other trap card.
Not a legal target. It's effect depends on what is sent as cost, and Rollback ignores costs, so you wouldn't be able to send anything, which means the card wouldn't have an effect.
I understand that Transaction Rollback does not ignore conditions, only costs...but WHY does it do that? If Destiny HERO Diamond Dude can copy Ojama Delta Hurricane, then why can't Transaction Rollback copy Huge Revolution? It only says to activate the effect. It's not like Bait Doll or Junk Collector who either state "if the activation timing is correct" or "Requirements must be correct but costs are not paid".
Diamond dude ignores the activation conditions too. It may be because it says that you can activate the effect as opposed to it saying that its effect becomes the cards effect.
@@Loxx116 it reads like a pre-PSCT cost. This card has not been printed since PSCT came to be, so there's no up-to-date text to verify. But as a judge, I would rule that you CAN target Elemental Burst for Transaction Rollback's graveyard effect.
That's so messed up. TRB copies basically everything the trap says, except the literal cost. This feels so wrong. You still have to meet all requirements and conditions, which are basically "costs" themselves, and even targeting is basically a "cost", but the actual cost is skipped, like what?
if someone activates this card i'm just gonna forfeit the match, the card shouldn't exist anyway and i refuse to learn rulings for a card that is literal F&L bait

I love this card for letting me play through an ash in labrynth, but jesus christ the amount of degenerate shit it can do. It can do some pretty funny stuff as well, like transaction rollback target evenly matched with an empty board at the end of the battlephase
So you said not everything before the semi-colon is cost. On your example Feather Storm and Ghost Meets Girl, How can you tell between Condition vs Cost??
Before I watch the video in my opinion if this card is allowed it should never be at 3. At most you could potentially push it to 2 but really shouldn't be more than 1

Example: Player A: Finish building up his field and have player b discards two cards from his hand. Due to A's card effects. Player B draws for turn, proceed until end of battle phase. Attempt to use transaction rollback effect from grave to copy evenly match effect.
No Diamond Dude works differently. It activates the effect of the card but not as an effect of Diamond Dude and I don't think that activation can be responded to.
They should change the mayakashi card text to “target 1 mayakashi synchro/link, tribute it;” this way decks cannot abuse it, but mayakashi decks can still play it as before
Remember the part talking about targeting, how even if you copy something like Raigeki Break you still are able to target because it's not a cost? That not everything before the semicolon is a cost, but what needs to be done when activating it, said at 4:10 in the video? Declaring on activation is the same as targeting; it's not a cost and you do it at the same time as you would with targeting (so you would banish Transaction Rollback, target Dimensional Barrier, and declare the monster card type at the same time).
What an unnecessarily complicated game. Just copy EVERYTHING on the original card and leave it at that, sheesh. The only ruling needed is that since it banishes itself, it can't maintain the equip effect of certain cards.

How would this card's rulings interact with Trap Trick and Trap Track? In regards to how many traps may be used afterwards, or if it is even legal.
Ya will be able to to activate other Trap cards during the turn that ya Rollback either Track or Trick
Is the sentence after the first clause part of the activation effect?
i got a question about Transaction Rollback, if i activate Transaction Rollback second effect:
"You can banish this card from your GY and pay half your LP, then target 1 Normal Trap in your GY, except "Transaction Rollback"; this effect becomes that card's activation effect."
while i have Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle on the field, does Transaction Rollback second effect treat as activation of Normal Trap Cards? if so, does it mean that my opponent cannot cannot activate monster effects in response to Transaction Rollback second effect?
It is not an activation of a normal trap CARD, no. it’s an activation of a trap effect
We need a called by for spells and traps now due to this card
It's called DD Crow. If Rollback loses its target, it resolves without effect.
D.D. crow exist
Foolish Return
literally wouldnt matter
a called by for spell/traps would have to target and banish on resolution, which means you can just chain transaction rollback to that or if they shotgun it before you can "call by" it, it will be too late
@@smoothpickle what do ya mean by too late?
Just want to point something out in regard to mandatory effects that target. It does not cause a card to necessarily resolve without effect if there’s no target. An example of would be the mandatory of Majestic Star Dragon to return to Extra Deck even if there’s no Stardust Dragon in the GY.
I literally asked this question last night regarding branded banishment, thanks for the video!
So if I'm interpreting correctly, the targeting window would still be the same as usual?
Yes, it's the same
I think what is the most relevant question: Does Transaction Rollback get the lingering effect of EEV? I would think not since it wasn’t the actual card itself. Similar to Verte!
Okay, so let me get this straight:
It doesnt copy maintenance costs, but it does copy activation conditions since they're what allow the activated effect to fire off? Even though the card just says "this effect becomes that card's activation effect."
Like, the way thats written, it sounds like you just get to skip everything. This card needs an errata just for clarification, or it needs to be banned because its admittedly unhealthy.
It's activation cost, not maintenance costs. The way it's written it's quite clear you'd need the activation requirements; that's why it's specifically worded like that and not just copies the effect.
Can you make a list with all traps with strong effect but high costs for transaction rollback?
With "Break the Destiny" could you use transaction rollback to copy the banishing effect that adds a spell/trap?
Or what about the eldlich traps banish effects?
No, transaction rollback copies the effects that activate when the card is on field, not the graveyard effects. So whatever would happen if you activated the card on the field, that’s what you can copy with rollback.
Hi does anyone know this if dd crow is chained to transaction rollbacks target trap does it still copy the eff if the target is banished ?
It would not copy the trap
Thank you!
So what I’m hearing is main or side deck crow@@Jaganphotos
@@uncreativeusername-sl9qf personally I’ve been siding crow for awhile instead of using Bystials. I prefer the flexibility
Transaction Rollback should be able to copy the effect of EEV, but it should not last for 3 turns if it is copying it from the graveyard. That is the only thing the "this card's activation" applies to. The duration of how long EEV or similar cards last.
This is how I'm seeing it ruled too
First i've seen Yacine's video about the card, and he said the same thing. Is there any database entry about this? This is kinda relevant.
This card also does match its OCG counterparts text which is why it is ruled that it cannot be targeted in the graveyard by Transaction Rollback in the OCG and everyone here is agreeing with that.
cant i use this card with Needlebug Nest in Tearlaments? seems broken
DD crow is about to be a GOD CARD next format lol. Remove the targeted trap and it resolves without effect.
Considering how many powerful upcoming gy strategies there are you're honestly not wrong
According to yacine you are allowed to copy eev with rollback however you will only destroy the declared card spell/trap during that turn only and not for the next 3 turns
But that's the last pereson you should listen to
Never listen to Yacine, I even played locals with him at card brawlers and met him in other regionals/ of the Montréal area, he is well known for being a pain to deal with him...
Hes right tho
As usual tho hj gotta decide what he wants to rule it as
That dude says a deck is dead 1 week, then the next week says it's the next broken deck
As if he knows more than Tombox
What about transaction vs Black goat? Is it like imperm where you targert (call name) on activation or is it an illegal target?
this game is ridiculous
imagine having a consistent rules book, couldn't be yugioh. i wonder if now that a good card can copy trap cards we will get some "rules additions" to make it consistent between ocg and tcg as otherwise that would be super messy for worlds
thanks tombox. a new knowledge for me as a judge
Maybe this will get D barrier banned. Please Konami. I want to be able to play decks other than link decks.
Thank you for this video I appreciate it
Could you transaction rollback a witch’s strike? Do you have to do it in chain, can it be activated as chain 1 after a negate has happened on the board?
MST.tv can you do a explaination on how transaction rollback works with rise to full heights does the trap target in the gy need to stay there for the effect to resolve
If you have to meet activation conditions, how does the Mayakashi card/EEV work? You couldn’t activate either if you didn’t have a tribute.
They are costs and since you are ignoring cost’s and just applying the effect of the card.
I'm fairly certain it wouldn't shut the zones down. Imperm states if this card was set which it was not.
Yeah you'd shut down the zones
@@BloodsCaress Rollback was set though, and is on field at resolution. It copies that effect as well.
It applies the entire effect if Transaction Rollback copies Imperm while it is set.
Does anyone know of a card similar to this that works for spell cards? Except serial spell?
i remember reading that copying eev wouldnt destroy any cards, it would just let you see the opponents cards because you didnt tribute and call a card type
Not true it will destroy and look. It just won't linger for three turns
@monkfishy6348 if you don't like it complain to Konami 🤷
Love the dividers!!!
Can you copy fusion duplication with transaction rollback?
So what is the ruling on the first card you didn’t answer for the equip thing
If i already used the 2nd effect of lovely but then activate rollback in a new chain (same turn) to copy big welcome, can lovely use its 2nd effect again? Or simple: Can i use the 2nd effect of her twice per turn with rollback?
No, because it's one of the following effects that can be use once per turn. Once you used her second effect on the same turn, you can't use her effect again
so OCG Transaction Rollback is literally the better version?
Any trap that has a cost use transaction rollback and you get the effect with no cost
Well, you still have to pay half your LP, though that isn't usually a heavy cost late-game.
There is a card that targets and destroys on resolution, and thats Magicial Dimension. It was a pretty decent tech card back in the day.
This is false. It tributes on resolution, it targets for activation procedure like every other targeting card in the game.
So cards in the GY that have effect like rollback don’t activate?
I am waiting on final confirmation before I drop a FINAL video on the matter. I have emailed Konami directly and I did get an answer, but I need to wait for their confirmation.
I feel like you shouldnt be able to, but if you pay half to act. Trans roll, can you pay half again for dinomorphia domain/frenzy?
The cost is paid when you activate a card/effect, not when it resolves. So when you declare you will use Transaction Rollback, half of your LP is already deducted. If you decide to chain it, yes you can pay with half of the the remaning half of your LP. So if you pay 4k for Transaction Rollback, you will only need to pay 2k for the next card.
Can Ash and Belle negate transaction rolback if i copy Big welcome lab?
i just played a lab player and I wasn't given activation timing for ash.
I need to ask something about transaction Rollback
Wen you copy for example welcome labrynth to special a Monster from Deck, and you have the field spell on Board from labrynth, can you Pop a card with that too?
No, you are activating Transaction Rollback, you are not activating a "Welcome Labrynth" card. That bonus is only added to the "Welcome Labrynth" cards.
How would Rollback interact with an Evenly Matched in grave?
Still needs to be at end of battle phase. If you control no cards, the opponent banishes their entire field
What if you transaction rollback, Target raigeki break, and then target FOR raigeki break’s copied effect and then the targeted Raigeki Break gets DD Crow’d??
Then transaction rollback no longer has a proper target and it resolves without effect
1) can only be activated during your Standby Phase
2) The cost is discarding 1 card
As long as it is your Stand Phase, ya can use Transaction Rollback to copy Non Aggression Area
@@6210classickI dont see why its that straight forward. There are other cards with conditions in the cost, so theres a posibility it does not need to be during the standby here

Diamond dude bypasses cost and restrictions/conditions,doesn’t transaction roll back not do the same thing?
Diamond Dude activates the effect of the other card; Transaction Rollback doesn't, it only copies the effect.
It is more clear if you look at the ocg text.
On Diamond Dude card, it says "you CAN ACTIVATE the activation effect of that normal spellcard in the GY".
As opposed to Transaction Rollback, it simply says "this effect becomes the same as that normal trap card's activation effect", it does NOT state that you can activate the activation effect. The activation of Transaction Rollback is you copying the effect of other trap card.
apparently ash blossom cannot respond to transaction rollback targeting big welcome labrynth.
I got one for you. Transaction roll back target jokers wild in GY. WHAT HAPPENS?
Does it work with "Elemental Burst"?
Yes
@@michaelmorales1602 are you sure because it could also be an activation condition. Then it will not work.
@@Loxx116 it reads like a pre-PSCT cost. This card has not been printed since PSCT came to be, so there's no up-to-date text to verify. But as a judge, I would rule that you CAN target Elemental Burst for Transaction Rollback's graveyard effect.
My head hurts…
So it copies the virus effect or not? 😅 Or does it all depend on the judge?
That's so messed up. TRB copies basically everything the trap says, except the literal cost. This feels so wrong. You still have to meet all requirements and conditions, which are basically "costs" themselves, and even targeting is basically a "cost", but the actual cost is skipped, like what?

I love this card for letting me play through an ash in labrynth, but jesus christ the amount of degenerate shit it can do. It can do some pretty funny stuff as well, like transaction rollback target evenly matched with an empty board at the end of the battlephase
So you said not everything before the semi-colon is cost. On your example Feather Storm and Ghost Meets Girl, How can you tell between Condition vs Cost??
Cost always includes actions like, pay life points, tribute, destroy, banish
Before I watch the video in my opinion if this card is allowed it should never be at 3. At most you could potentially push it to 2 but really shouldn't be more than 1
How is transaction rollback different than destiny hero diamond dude? Diamond dude didn't care if you had monsters on the field; you could still use a hero lives for free the next turn. Transaction rollback copying harpie's still needs you to have a winged beast on the field though?
You're misreading the scenario...a hero lives is free. Feather storm requires CONTROL of a wind winged beast in its condition
@@rorschach4502 and a hero lives required having no monsters on the field for its condition. But you could still use a hero lives via diamond dude even though you have a monster.

Beatrice if just an ftk now, I guess.
So basically when someone tries to copy Epv in the gy I’m just going to say you can’t do that and call the head judge

Player B draws for turn, proceed until end of battle phase. Attempt to use transaction rollback effect from grave to copy evenly match effect.
Yup, as long as you meet the activation condition (control less cards than your opponent), it will resolve
This card is the trap version of diamond dude
No Diamond Dude works differently. It activates the effect of the card but not as an effect of Diamond Dude and I don't think that activation can be responded to.
They should change the mayakashi card text to “target 1 mayakashi synchro/link, tribute it;” this way decks cannot abuse it, but mayakashi decks can still play it as before

Isn’t declaring the monster type part of the cost? Not the activated effect? In which case it shouldn’t be able to copy D Barrier? Someone help 🤣
There are 3 activation actions in the game: paying costs, targeting and declaring card types/characteristics.
