Her new album is purely a dance album with theme of escapism contrary to her last one Brightest Blue which is incredibly deep and about her life.
I really miss her raw soulful voice meets folktronica sound of Lights though, I want to hear her sing with such a raw personal sound again one more time on a future album or EP.
She has the voice & look (IS IT JUST ME OR IS THIS THE BEST SHE'S EVER LOOKED, LOL, I CRUSH ON HER LIKE A SCHOOL 🤍💎🤍KID) to think she would sing Adele type songs+!!!+ Im so happy she came up loving the techo, trance, dance music style because she brings the kind of depth that these songs have to have to meet the depth of the writing+!!!+ Don't let the dance music tag fool you, this is the deepest genre going & has been for years+!!!+ We really need her to be successful to secure the future of this genre into the next generation+!!!+ The chemistry she has with Calvin Harris is special, so much so that doing a full album together is what I'm hearing is the hope from fans, me too+!!!+On a personal note, becoming a mother seems to have her glowing on the inside & out, very happy for her but I hope she doesn't let this busy time on the road delay her next project+!!!+ That may sound selfish but she is at the top of her game, unless she continues to top herself which seems impossible but she is that good+!!!+Best of luck Elle but don't be surprised if those lights that follow you to concerts keep getting brighter + brighter, lol, the selfie at the ? Christmas? concert was interesting 😬🙄😏🥸
She literally looks about the same and you can tell she is wearing lip liner if you pay closer attention. Also her hairstyles are different nowadays which may have distracted you from her actual face.

She is a bloody great songwriter and owns an ORIGINAL VOICE. Stop listening to her radio hits and go listen to her albums like Halcyon or Brightest Blue. And she has been considered as "one of the more significant pop vocalists of this time" by The Washington Post critics.

That’s why they are called “Record Labels/Shops”.
She came from a very humble background, if that's what you mean. Her high, breathy soprano may not be for everyone, but it is a very distinctive and original voice, and it has served her well.
