@@MisterInevitable it’s a great song but I don’t know why people think it’s alternative. Man I miss my old girlfriend that passed away in 2014. She was so beautiful and such an amazing personality. She was my angel. This song reminds me of her every time. @Anonymous-s4q It is, I miss her very much. I've moved on now and have a girlfriend that I've been with for 6 years but I suffered from many things constantly, mainly depression and addiction between 2014-2018 after her passing. We both had struggled with addiction and it is what led to her death and instead of it being a wake up call, her passing only enhanced my addiction and depression. I had nights where I would cry so hard that I felt like I was going to implode from the pain of the grief. I was totally lost and had no hope in making it out of my despair. To shorten the story I am now clean and sober and have been for 3 years. My girlfriend now didn't give up on me the first 3 years we got together and can't to this day understand how she stood by me but I guess she knew I could be the man that I am today when I did not. I'm very thankful for her and I'm very thankful for God and what he has done in my life. I will always love her and I try to remember her in every way I can in a healthy manner because she was an amazing person and she left us too early. Thanks for listening, God bless

This is one of those songs you heard on the radio in your parents car. And when you hear it when driving your own car decades later it hits you like a big nostalgic hug.
I'm not ashamed of my music taste, this has and always will be a banger. I say that as an American dude in his 20s. The lights really do be trying to stop you and turn you into stone lol. But it is a really good track
As a 14 year old in general, I’ve heard this song many times, and I’ll never get tired of it because I love it a lot However my gf kinda despises the song, but that doesn’t change the fact that I still will like this song without a doubt
When I was 10, my family and I lived in an apartment building, and the guy who lived directly above us was an incredible pianist. Every night, at 9:00 pm on the dot, he would start playing this song. I would immediately be calmed and comforted by the beautiful melody. I never met this pianist, nor did I know the name of the song. But I was happy, listening to the song as I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Ellie, this song and your later songs after this like "Burn" and "Something In The Way You Move" are such great ones by you always. You make any songs sound great, too. You go, girl!
You might want to check if the song you were remembering was the remix - at the time it was the remix that really blew up. I remember it being a thing, like the remix had more views than the original at one point I think. The famous remix was the Bassnectar remix.
Good news guys! Ellie will be releasing not one but two albums next year. One she says is a very personal album and the other one will be a classical album. I LITERALLY CAN'T WAIT!
@Gavin Long What you're saying is one big anachronism. You really think the world got fucked after 2011? Depending on whether or not the focus of the bad times is in your direction you will see the world differently. Apparently, only when someone thinks their on house is on fire will they notice all-engulfing flames. Your parents must have had it easy to tell you that the humans all got along before you were born. That's unfortunate. Hopefully, you'll not provide yours with the same unrealistic view of reality.
The last time I heard this was on a school bus in 5th grade. I'm 21 now and in my final year of college. Good times they were...thank you for this. Thanks for the likes everyone
They were never your friends, they were just looking for something. Dont be depressed over people, fuck em'. After my life experiences with people, I begin to wonder if they're worth anything
Most likely but the song definitely feels like 2011 has that vibe reminds me of the good old days if only we had like a return to form would be good right about now.

Shut up! This is 2010s territory! It's not for 2000s kids! So if you want to compliment it so much, stop acting like it belongs to 2000s kids while insulting mumble rap (popular from 2018-2019)!
Also, don't say that you don't insult mumble rap, because the fact that you like this song is clearly a sign that you don't like mumble rap. No denying!

This song was playing the day I decided to pick myself up after I buried my three month old son. The hardest time if my life I thought I would never be the same again. That's right I am never the same again! I am a stronger woman and mother to my other children!!
I'm really proud of you! Well done!
im sorry for your loss but cheers to your upcoming!
i’m so glad you’re living your life again
Yes, and i’m sure all your children are proud of your uplifting spirit. Sorry for your loss & may he sleep in peace🤍
I am so sorry for your loss.... I am sure you are a wonderful person and a strong woman and a mother

I'm not ashamed of my music taste, this has and always will be a banger. I say that as an American dude in his 20s. The lights really do be trying to stop you and turn you into stone lol. But it is a really good track
As a 14 year old in general, I’ve heard this song many times, and I’ll never get tired of it because I love it a lot
However my gf kinda despises the song, but that doesn’t change the fact that I still will like this song without a doubt
But I was happy, listening to the song as I slowly drifted off to sleep.

you’re not the only one 😩
@Gavin Long I was born in 2006, sadly I wasn’t able to experience a lot of the 2000s but still a great life nonetheless
@Gavin Long That’s been happening all the time and it’s pretty stupid for you to bring negativity to this comment section
This song gives me a knot in my stomach. Longing for a time when things were simpler.

Shut up! This is 2010s territory! It's not for 2000s kids! So if you want to compliment it so much, stop acting like it belongs to 2000s kids while insulting mumble rap (popular from 2018-2019)!
