Been reading Andrew Murray's Waiting on God, a book that teaches the art of listening to God, shutting out the noise. Ive tried for 3 days, setting a timer for 5 minutes to "be still" and to listen. My mind goes all over the place! Today was the best I've done since starting this. I am amazed how our modern world is saturated with competing distractions that interfere in our efforts to focus on the only One that matters. Today i was able to hear Him and now that "still, small voice" is becoming more noticeable like it was when i was a new believer in the 1970's. I can hardly wait for tomorrow. I've heard it said many times, "The safest place to be is in the will of God." What else can we do? We must get under His almighty wing.
My husband came home, on an emergency leave from military service, in May 14th. Our son was born February 14th the next year.🤔 Got homegrown October beans cooking for supper tonight! Making cornbread and greens to go along side.
Its just like when we were in school, and our teacher told us to be sure to read ALL the instructions. When our peers didn’t read everything, they had to work harder. Those who read ALL the instructions, signed their name and turned in their paper! Reading ALL the instructions made for a LOT less work.

Been ready for 2 years!!! I remember the day it hit me, things are not going back to normal. I had a mini freak out mode, cried for an hour, had an anxiety attack, put my big girl panties on, talked to my husband and went to work!!! Was super surprised that my husband was on the same page but didnt say anything because he knew i was "already stressed" ❤❤❤

Yesterday's video was excellent, and this one is, too. People should be heeding these messages; sadly, it's like you said. Many react without knowledge. When I was still teaching, I had a poster in my classroom that said, "Before you speak, THINK. T: Is it true?, H: Is it helpful?, I: Is it inspiring?, N: Is it necessary?, K: Is it kind?". From what I've witnessed this week, many adults need to learn this lesson. 🥺

You’re spot on. The mental shift that MUST happen is that ‘IT CAN HAPPEN HERE’. Pay attention to what’s going on around you. Listen to aircraft traffic and question what it is, why it’s happening and when. If it’s occurring when the world sleeps or when normal commercial traffic is almost nonexistent, wonder why. Unusual patterns can telegraph things you don’t expect. Pray then pray some more. After that pray you are ready for whatever God wills for you. Prepare your family and don’t ignore the obvious. On a light note, my son was 10 days early born on New Year's Eve and my daughter born on her due date, Good Friday. One of my favorite channels.. Always trying to stay busy, even if it is just rinsing gallon vinegar jugs and refilling them with water.. Have a cast iron dutch oven I'm about to refurbish.. Let's hope I never have to use it out doors, some days my mind really wanders how bad things could get in the future.. Bug out mode.. 😂😂
My son called discussing the Halloween plans and trying to plan supper,homework..getting girls costumed and on road to go to family that all lives in different directions in the county.I laughed and told him to just stop and enjoy this stage...I remembered back to many such hectic nights..such memories..ya all have great night.The little ones get so excited..I hope they all have a safe and fun night..

When I am out in public running errands, I am in bugout mode to hurry and get home where I feel safe. Shopping used to be fun... not anymore.

Safety at my age means being alert and physical strength. Thinking and making a bug out bag just in case. Also getting some things my little 8 pound dog needs in an additional bag.
