Very thorough and like that you always give us a list of everything you will need at the start of the video. These tips are gold and I'm sure you'll save a lot of people from all the headaches that come with DIY work on their cars. Can't tell you how many times I've wanted to replace parts for my car with friends that seem like it would be easy, and then it takes like 6 hours. lol
Thank you! It seems like a lot of people skip over the tool list, but I like to include to show that even some complex jobs don't need hundreds of dollars in tools to complete. And then some simple jobs needs very specific tools.
My issue was the bolt holes on the pan not lining up to the bolt holes on engine and transmission. If I put the horizontal bolts (pan to transmission) in first, the vertical holes (pan to engine) wouldn't line up at all. If I started with the vertical bolts, I could only get a couple in before it was misaligned enough that no more would go in and the horizontal bolts wouldn't line up at all. I've got photos I'm willing to share if you email me from the contact info on my channel. Forge claimed they've never had this issue despite having the videos and photos I took. I personally think that it was a QC or manufacturing error since I can't find anyone that has posted about this issue before, but I wanted to mention it since I did have this issue and got the run around when I wanted to return the pan.
@@c-dawg1605 Many people have zero complaints about Forge, but between the pan and the turbo inlet pipe I installed, I'm not too impressed with them. If you want to give the pan a shot, I'd find out the fine details about the return policy if it ends up not fitting.

Thanks! I've definitely seen cleaner since this car is from a snow state, but it's not bad for being a daily for 18 years.
What issues did you have with the Forge oil pan? I was thinking of installing that pan on my 1.8T AWP.
