The fact that Eren doesn’t actually want to hurt Hange is what gets me here. He’s fresh off of Sasha’s death, which made him realize his visions of the future are absolute and cannot be changed. At this point he’s so angry at his own situation that he’s essentially begging Hange to give him a solution, he doesn’t want to be a slave to fate and watch more of his world crumble around him.
That gives me a better perspective, and also explains why he laughs when he heard Sasha died

Up until that exact moment he had no way of truly knowing if his visions of the future were true or not, so he had some small glimmer of hope that maybe he could avoid the atrocities he would supposedly someday have to commit. But by having Connie confirm the last words he heard in the visions, he realized that the visions were not only true, but absolute. That he wouldn’t be able to stop any of the pain and suffering he would have to endure and inflict on others. Eren’s laugh was the final death of the Eren we once knew.

Eren has his reasons but he literally became a basterd in Season 4, threatening Hange, knowing and accepting Levi might be killed by Zeke, accepting to transform top commanders such as Dot Pixis to titans if they drank Zeke's spinal fluid (Pixis was literally the first person to trust Eren with his titans abilities) and not to forget he willingly risked the lives of his comrades especially Mikasa and Armin in danger

@@ractmo The problem is, there aren't any easy answers. They tried, tried a lot and only the Azumabitos happen to be one of the few that actually wanted to be friends. Zeke is an enemy with an agenda and so are his soldiers along with him.
The world hates Eldians for the 2000 year old empire and for the fact that they can turn into giant monsters. Plus considering the fact that the world's propaganda led everyone to believe that everyone on the island was evil and it was merely quiet didnt help.
Add to the fact that Marley used the power of the titans to invade other countries reopened closed wounds and made people hate titans and by an extension Eldians even more.
And even if Eren didnt attack Liberio, Willy Tybur united the world against Paradis by telling them the truth about Karl Fritz and paint Eren as the enemy of the world. Thereby using his own reputation as a descendant of one of the saviours of the world, sheer charisma and honesty to get the world off of Marley's back and create a scapegoat for the world's hate.
Hange is smart yes but even she had only so many options. Hell, even the people fighting for Eldian rights dont care about the Paradisians and only care about the internment camp Eldians.

Only Floch understand the situation, and reacting like a human who want to save his family and nation. And they literally make Mikasa and Gabi too overpowered, which feels like that these 2 only are enough for eren. Surely both are protected by plot armor.
@@ractmo If you're referring to the Rumbling then yes. I would agree with Floch since the world didnt leave them any other way. Yet, Eren's friends are human beings too. Once Armin assessed and realised that Eren isnt going for a tiny rumbling to keep the world at bay for 50 years, he realized that he's doing the Rumbling for the sake of his friends.
They feel guilt over what Eren is about to do since he is partially doing it for their sake. That and while they have killed people, they despise the fact that genocide is the solution.
Their original plan was to convince Eren to not commit mass genocide and the very act of a full scale Rumbling being sighted would be enough to deter the world for decades.
Plus, Gabi also mentioned a solution where Eren needs to simply destroy prominent military bases to deter the world from attacking.
Naturally all of these solutions are not enough to stave off the world forever and there is no doubt that Paradis would guarantee its safety with the destruction of the world, even so, Eren's friends can't help but be hopeful of a peaceful solution

No. Eren wants to do this. He wants to but at the same time, he does not want to. Does that make sense? In this context, Eren and Reiner's conversation underground makes a lot more sense.
First, I believe the reason Even decided to speak with Reiner was because he wanted to talk to the one person he thinks would understand him the most and what he was going to do next. You see, Reiner knew that by the end of the four years he spent in Paradis, that there was no such thing as “devils” over there. He learned that they were all people and that they were all the same. So he knew what he was doing was wrong when he decided to reveal who he was to Eren. He tells himself repeatedly that it was so save the world, to save humanity. Deep down he knew he was a coward and a despicable person who wanted everybody on Paradis to be bad people. He wished they were so he wouldn’t have to go against his conscience. He wanted to take the easy, childish, and naive way out. In the end, Reiner betrayed them all once again for his own selfish desires, to be a warrior that everyone looked up towards. He knew that he went too far and at the same time he still did not stop. Maybe he saw no use in stopping. But for whatever the reason, Reiner knew he was wrong and he still went through with his actions.
Now Eren. In season 3, Even had almost the same view as Reiner before he invaded Paradis. The people outside the wall are his enemies and they were all complicit in taking away his and his friends’ freedom. Then he goes to Marley on his own. He comes to the same realization as Reiner. The people outside the walls are just that. People. However, no matter how innocent they all were, they are all in the way of Eren’s desire for freedom.
So in the scene where they talk, Eren has already forgiven Reiner. In fact, he looks even embarrassed when Reiner asks him if he’s there to kill him like he had promised in season 1. Even has realized that he is just as despicable and guilty as Reiner. He says that they are the same. I believe it is because they both wish to still pursue their own childish dreams at the cost of people’s lives. They know that they are wrong but they still do it anyway.
Even knows the magnitude of what he’s going to do. He knows it is absolutely wrong. In fact, in the manga, he literally thinks that for the better of the world, the Eldians should die just as the world wanted them to instead of killing the rest of the world. In most people’s eyes, that’s the greater good. But of course Eren would never go with this decision. This is his freedom we are talking about. His people. His *friends.*
It’s decided. It has always been decided in his mind. To reach his freedom and for him and his friends to be free, everyone else must die. So yes, he wants to. He wants to kill and destroy everything. This is the way he is, and this is his nature. It may be hard to see it, because we have watched and rejoiced and cried with Eren for so long. But in the end, most people, just like his friends were, are blind to his faults. His faults being that he is a complex character, yes, like most people are. But he is also very selfish and childish and he has always been so.
It has still been absolutely magical to watch his journey, to see him grow, and I have come to love him no matter his flaws haha. He is a wonderful character.

They can't really hold or stop him (not with all his titan power) and even if they could, they still have no plan to stop the war eren declared with the attack on marley, unlike eren who intends to win said war. It was the ease the actual tension and fear in Hange. She can't control or actually hold Eren, and Eren knows it. He's just playing along and that alone terrifies her more because it shows that he has a plan but he won't share it her.

Honestly, Attack On Titan is so amazing. You see true bravery, soldiers scared shitless but still rising to their duty. A truly relatable protagonist who becomes the antagonist. Eren who wanted freedom more than anything else, sacrificed his own for the freedom of those he loved. It's a masterpiece to me.

The whole story seems very complicated to me, but what I understand of his plan is that eren wants to touch zeke in titan form so he has the founding titan's power and can make all islanders infertile, causing no more of them to suffer. Right after this in her mind she regrets Erwin's decision to make her commander. She obviously is very aware of the situation, humor & lightening things up are her coping skills.

I’m sorry but what kind of take is this? Hange is literally one of the smartest and most socially aware person in the entire story. She didn’t actually believe eren was in his rebellious phase. She was just actually legitimately intimidated and played it off with humor. Thats how she always copes with a stressful situation. Notice how she immediately walks out? She wanted to leave that uncomfortable situation but pretended to be flustered at eren touching her chest as a way to not show fear. We then see how she really feels when she’s alone. She thinks erwin made a mistake making her commander because everything is causing too much stress.
Eren is willing to give his soul to evil demon to save his beloved people and Hange was there making joke about his words. I'm not blaming her, she's kinda naive and helpless trying to understand what's up with Eren's mind. You can see that detail through "silent is not helping". :/

I also think that Eren is tired of Scout Regimens plans specially that Hange is the new commander. There is probably better plan to save historia and the eldians inside the walls that's why Eren is asking if Hange but there is nothing. It's tiring and scary if you just wait for your people to get eaten by titans or to be between a war. So maybe if asking hange for she has better plans because if not he will take actions on his own. I think that is also Floch and the Yeagerist believes.
