It's a bittersweet one for me this.. it's one of my favourite Sleep Token songs however... it's also the second sleep token song I ever heard and the first song I sent to a girl I liked at the time and it became "our song" and we dated for short time so now it just reminds me of her 🙃 stupid beautiful song 😂

This one hits hard. I cried a lot the first time I heard it and read the text in the backround of the video. I struggled with passive suicidal ideation for a long time so the words "I want to want to, live", fucking broke me. It also makes the theme of this album that much more visceral (with Atlantic being about Vessel's suicide attempt). Worship!
I think the emotion really resonates with the person who "is" or "has" typically been the pursuer. If there was that person who you were close to and was the apple of your eye but it was never reciprocal or perma friend zoned and this was just your wish or desire...then this song hits hard. If you are the one being pursued then you probably are like awww that's sad but anyways!

I think too many people build up certain songs like "omg you're gonna cry so much with the next song..." etc.. It brings so much anticipation and then often times it doesn't hit the same as if they just went in blind and it took them by surprise. I REALLY wish people would stop doing that. It's almost like spoiling a movie. I'm also sure, as a reactor, you feel like you have some kind of expectation that you are going to or have to cry, just going in. When the song doesn't hit you that way, you then feel like you need to explain why instead of just explaining how the song did affect you. Also, in my opinion, I think the video to this song significantly detracts from the song itself. Reading those occasional lines, as emotional and impactful as they are, were not in time with the music and weren't the actual lyrics. Having to switch your brain from feeling the music and hearing the lyrics, to then read the somewhat random and unexpected phrases on the screen just takes you out of the moment. Please people... Let them experience ST in their own way and don't spoil songs by building them up to something specific like how you expect it to hit them. It is ALWAYS better when song's take you by surprise because you have no expectations going in and are just experiencing the music like many of us did for the first time.
