I think it's rare to see someone being so vulnerable in their lyrics. They sometimes just hit you by being so raw and honest. I feel like Missing Limbs will probably hit you this way despite not having ii's presence. It really stands out when performed live on this last tour by just being Vessel with a guitar.

I think he had a way to resonate with people for a wide variety of reasons. What is incredible to me is that he can make someone feel so emotional
It's an insanely emotional one! To battle time and time again ( all the white knots represents "tries") for love, knowing tou love the person but just can stop conflicting. It's heartbreaking! I tear up everytime too, Dallas!
And the first verse and last verse are exactly the same. So sick.

Love this song so much. It cuts so much deeper if you have ever been in a relationship where you felt more for someone then they felt with you. He is able to show with his lyrics and this music video that pain of not knowing why that person doesn’t feel the way you do and how you can torture yourself over and over just to put off losing that person, no matter how much it hurts
Loves yall's reaction. They played this live when I saw them in Dallas TX and it was great. Such a lovely song. Love when the guitar and drums kick in.
Certainly not trying to actively make you all cry but their live performance of “hallelujah” a few years back really makes you wanna, you can hear the tremble and tears coming through in later sections, I love artists that express themselves like they do and allow you to see their vulnerability. Sleep Token is amazing!
I've said it 10p times Vessel is a Male Siren. ST's music pulls the heart strings and doesn't stop.

For me, a few songs hooked me at first, but when I realized the albums were a trilogy I went back through. Now there isn’t a bad song in the bunch, and they’re just as good live.

This song has so many eggs. "Perfect start to a perfect war, picking up the roses putting down the sword " is the fight scene reference.

I get it. Something about the music and lyrics just hits different. I basically never cry at all. I remember getting the knock on my door that my dad was gone and couldn't bring myself to tears. Whenever I listen to songs like this something just opens up inside of me. It's like that one girl I loved more than anything and all those emotions come flooding back like a torrent and I can't hold it back. They're special.
The next one gets me as well, Fall For Me. Their music just hits me in a place few have. 💕💕

I came away from the concert in a daze. The whole thing seemed like a dream...surreal. I'm still not sure it happened. LOL. Now I need to see them again.

When I saw this pop up I instantly said "oh no" I knew it was gonna get you Dallas. You and I are very similar with our emotions...I could see it when it hit your face. This one is so musically beautiful and full.

This is one of my favorites. The imagery in the music video is perfect. Before I met my spouse, I was in toxic relationship where I gave every part of me and received almost nothing in return. For years I fought for a love that was never meant to happen. This song hits hard.
Also, the thing about Vessel is that he has an ability to make the listener feel what he is feeling, not just with lyrics, but with how he sings. I heard someone say once that he sings every word like it's its own song.

This song is about him fighting for her love and failing every time and being willing to die for her. Each ribbon represents all of the times he tried and failed.

my favorite and underrated ST song
This is one that I've been waiting for since yall started the ST journey. Fall for me, High Water, and Missing Limbs. Are the next ones I'm excited to see!!
This is definitely my favorite song by them. It was one of the first I heard by them and it still has the sleep token vibe yet is different from their other songs. I like listening to this song while driving at night in the winter when it’s snowing, it just sets a ton for the drive.
I feel you, Dallas. This was one the first songs from Sleep Token that made me emotional. I was really sad when they didn't play it live when I went to see them in concert.
This one randomly got me for the first time a few months ago, and I'm suddenly just like "why am I sitting here crying?!"

I hear you! Jaws took a minute to grow on me it was one I skipped for a while, but I really like it now. And I have a hunch that that's the reason they don't ha e too many full. I n music videos, to not distract from the music. All though selfishly, I would love a full music video for every song 😅

This is one of my top 5 fave Sleep Token songs. I was emotional as well, and still am pretty often when I listen to it. The meaning behind the lyrics and the video hit home for me in regards to a certain relationship/person.
Also though can we just talk about how beautifully shot this video is?? I wish Sleep Token would do more videos with Vessel and the band.

@@dna2001 I mean I find the video to Jaws interesting because there’s a song called Nazareth on their 2nd EP that actually tells the story within the lyrics that would fit the video and get you to understand it. It came out before Jaws did. But I guess management thought Jaws would grab people’s attention more which is why that video exists to Jaws. It would make so much more sense if it was paired with Nazareth instead. Jaws is a great part two to that song but it doesn’t make much sense based on the difference in lyrical content. I think management really effed up there. I also like that video for, like… scientific reasons 😂😂😂
I love this song and video, it's such a beautiful metaphor that can be interpreted in many ways, I've seen some cool ideas about what this video is about. I hope Sleep Token will go back to making proper videos like this, at least from time to time.
i saw someone point this out in the music videos comments, but something i love pointing out for others and i think is interesting to note: everything they do is on purpose, INCLUDING everything in the music videos. and obviously we all know the band is heavy on metaphors. so WITH THAT IN MIND:
when you look at vessel after he takes out the sword, you can see his swings are like.. extremely halfhearted. like he isn't skilled with the sword at all and the dancers are all dodging out of the way easily, and then he barely resists when they start controlling his hands. well when you look at the lyrics of the song in combination with the music video, the song is about an old, unrequited love that he can't let go of, right?? those dancers are representing his emotions towards this person, and he's in this cycle of KNOWING he needs to move on and get over them (IE kill his feelings), but he doesnt have the strength to do it. so he keeps going back, over and over, to try and do what's right - but in the end he can't move on, despite his feelings for them only hurting him.

Fall for me is next which is devastating for most people. And it hits VERY different knowing that the 'actor' in the video of Fall for me IS vessel unmasked (no face revealed tho)
I feel odd saying things like this as a 40 year old but I really think Vessel is an absolute musical genius. These albums could easily be turned into live action plays. The songwriting and the structure of the songs is unreal. II brought me in since I don't think my stubborn self was ready to accept them with so many different sounds and genres mixed in. Watching reactions is kind of a great way to feel like you're reliving the excitement of hearing these songs again. I cannot wait to see what they come up with next.

😌 the emotions…the take on this song is that Vessel is struggling to be loved by sleep but is unsuccessful and all the ribbons are the times he tried…the imagery😢. I see everyone is trying to prepare you for the next one and I agree.

I just thought of something that I think would be a good idea for the Fall For Me reaction. If you’re down for it. The song is shorter and on the first listen/watch it’s kinda hard to take in the lyrics and the words that pop up on the video as they’re not the lyrics and are completely different. In my opinion I think it would be a pretty cool/good idea if you watch it twice. Take in the song the first time and then take in the words in the video on the second time. Just a suggestion! That way you can get the full experience without having to try to listen to the lyrics and read the words at the same time.

@@dna2001 When I first watched the video I was having a hard time keeping up to soak up the song/lyrics when I was trying to read what’s in the video so I restarted it and focused on the song first and then went back and focused on the words in the video. I’ve seen reactors just react once and they get lost between the lyrics and video and say they’ll have to watch it again later, which we don’t know if they actually do or not lol, but I’ve seen others react to it twice in one video to catch everything so I just definitely think that would be awesome for y’all to do! Also be prepared to get a very fast teeny tiny glimpse of vessel’s face from the nose down without the charcoal on it 😬😏
