Because everyone hates it. When you walk in the dealership they’re always there. So when people realize how long the wait for a G-Wagon is they reluctantly end walking out with it.
I love the way it looks. Not everybody has a family and need a bunch of cargo space. This is perfect for a single person that doesn't want a traditional SUV.

Doug neglects to mention that the rear of the car has a lowering feature that drops the rear deck height by several inches to allow for easier loading. It's not fair to "ding" this car for something that the manufacturer has already addressed but which the reviewer has not bothered to learn about.

If you're not in the target demographic that these type of vehicles are targeting (which are people that want more style than practicality) then tape your mouth closed and run along because you're not the target demographic they're looking for 🧍🏾♀️..

Just stumbled across this video, I know it's 4 years old, but want to say I have a 2021 GLE 63s Coupe and it's the best car I have ever had (and all I buy are high end cars). It's so luxurious inside & out, and it's an absolute savage muscle car underneath. What more could you want? If you need more room, then don't get the coupe. It's that simple.

I think he is not fond of MB period! Look at this reviews of all MB.. Always something negative to say and biased scoring only to give BMW huger scores. Well look at reliability. Speaking from experience I've owned 3 BMW and nothing but bad luck. I've owned 4 MBs and overall minor issues. Ijs.
I have one of these let me give y’all my review:
- Very fast the acceleration is crazy plus the noise is awesome it has really cool exhaust pops and crackles
- very big on the inside, the sun roof is huge overall a lot of space
- it looks really cool and honestly I have a 2021 BMW 7-Series and i feel like this is a bit more luxurious, definitely faster, it gets a lot more compliments from people and it looks like a beast it’s pretty sick

I think coupe just means shitty headroom nowadays. Boeing should make a jet with no headroom, call it a 747 coupe, and charge 50% more for tickets.
A coupe generally describes a 2 door car, however it really means a vehicle that has a roof that slopes down right behind the front seats.
We have GLE43 COUPE with a Renntech tune and love it. Quick, tons of room, pulls boat. Fun to drive in Sport plus. Coupe is a German thing Doug 👍
I have a Cls AMG s63 rentech tune and the tune does bring more out of the vehicle
I love these cars. I think they are a departure from the mundane suv market. If I want a regular suv, which I’m certain I won’t use as intended like everyone else, this is the perfect alternative. A corvette is nice but what can I do with it besides go fast?

His scores also seem a little incongruous particularly when compared to what he says in this vid. For a car Doug loathes from a design stand point, it scored only 1 below the 2005 Maserati Quattroporte - a really good looking, desirable saloon car. I like Doug but he has no taste when it comes to car design.
I also don't know how Doug can score it a 7 for practicality when his head is hitting the ceiling, there's not a great amount of loadspace and the fuel economy is poor. Surely a more appropriate score would be a 4 or 5?
I personally hate this car. This is as bad as a BMW X6. Hateful in every way. It's incredibly ugly with a poor, dated interior. It's compromised in a number of ways and isn't especially practical.
This car like the X6 only exists because of the abundance of cheap car finance. Without financing, BMW, Mercedes etc wouldn't sell the number of cars they do and they wouldn't be able produce niche, ridiculous cars like this. Some may consider it a good thing that this car exists whereas I think it hurts my eyes.
Impractical is having standard size suv and trying to find a parking space large enough in the city, especially when in a rush. I've lived that nightmare. This is perfect size.

My 2005 Chrysler Town and Country had rear park assist lights above the rear window and when you got close it would beep. The closer you got, the more it beeped until you got to a steady, uninterrupted beep. My 2012 Chrysler Town and Country has a back up camera now instead

i have a g63 2018 , when i bought the truck not pay attention to it but now driving for while there are 3 thing really anoiying when i pay 250k for it, 1, no driver side drink holder, there is 1 on passenger side , my point is if there 1 it should be on driver side, 2, there is only auto rolling window down but there is no auto rolling up , why? 3, when i back up the truck there is a picture top view of the truck on the screen but thats no the picture of the g wagon , the picture is gl suv ,because i have the gl suv and it look the same , can someone tell me if am I too much to ask?

My 2017 Nissan Rogue that I paid $11,000 for has a hold feature that is totally automatic. If you are on a hill, it activates. It also has a very similar steering wheel.
All these 4-door "coupes" could avoid a lot of objection if they'd instead just use the word "fastback".

Here in London, UK we call these cars Chelsea Tractors as most of the owners and drivers are housewives who use them for shopping and dropping the kids off at school and never take them off road. Tbf thats most owners of SUV’s, at least here in the UK where the majority live in towns or cities and the majority of off-road features in these cars are never! used. I include my own family in this.

I have one of these and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo both are the same age. Comparing it with the Porsche this is what I have found - it’s heavier on the road & costs the same amount to full as the Porsche but this does have a smaller petrol tank, my kids love the noise of the motor, boot spare massive, I have a 6 foot 3, teenage son who sits in the rear seats comfortably, Im 5 foot 8 and I have to use the running board to get into it, serving and parts cost the same as the Porsche, very comfortable to travel in, I have a major issue it is powerful and as a result I have lost all my demerit points to avoid losing my licence and having it impounded in the suburban streets of Auckland Ive learnt to take my foot off the pedal and coast. I don’t choose the cars I drive, but out of all the european cars I have driven its one of the nicest.
People need to know the meaning of a coupe. It comes from the French verb cut carriage. A coupe can be a four-door the roofline is where it's a cut carriage

Historically a "coupe" was not necessarily a two door, that was brought into popularity by American nomenclature. Coupe, really pronounced "cou-pay", is French and means to cut low or cut down and had to do with the roofline, hence why there are four door coupés and back many moons ago there were two door sedans, with the traditional roofline. My '67 Lincoln "Coupé" (what it was actually named) is a two door, but the roofline is different than the sedan, losing headroom and rear seat room.
