Furina shines in DPS, but she can't put all her potential damage that fast so those additional % won't matter in most situations where you need to burst out your damage
You also have to realize that DPS Kazuha's best team is Pyro Kazuha with C6 Bennett, Furina, and Xianyun. When he lets go of his anemo element and becomes pyro, he is easily a stronger DPS than Xiao or Xianyun. This video was comparing his weakest DPS build, not his best :)
I pulled Xianyun for her character and for a Hu Tao support. Ended up surprisingly using her as my main DPS, rarely have had this much fun in abyss and overworld before. The fact she stacks Yae's weapon with her skill is bonkers. Xianyun / Zhongli / Faruzan (C6) / Furina has been such a crazy blast, i adore her. I slapped my Wanderer's Pavilion set on her for that plunge dmg % lmao.

Xiao constellation rework ideea: C1- stay the same C2-(similar to c4 gaming) every 2 plunges, xiao gets some energy back (idk how much tho) C3-increase normal attack level instead of skill C4-when xiao falls belox 50% hp increase ATK by 50% (probably higher or lower, idk exactly) C5-stay the same C6-the same but in single target situation make his normal attack mattter (bc he has some of the best normal attack animation)
His c4 would be useless for anything but solo runs since Xianyun alone would keep him almost at 100% hp all the time. Something else would be more beneficial. While dmg% from burst talents would matter with Xianyun I would say making his c5 skill dmg instead to still have his c6 stay relevant (I believe he would rather have that) Also I would rework his c6 to something like... every 2 plunges he gets to use his skill for free for 3 seconds, something like that and it resets after 2 plunges again
I would love to see a showdown of who's the best non-anemo Xianyun-buffed plunger since it adds a whole new playstyle option on every character. Something about plunge attack burst Raiden Shogun sounds really weird and interesting.

Exactly lol, I can understand using a full team to help the showcased characters, because that's how we play Genshin, with 4 characters. But using the character from the showcase to literally carry both of the others is dumb in my opinion. Kazuha does literally nothing in the Abyss run, Bennett gives him Pyro infusion and attack buff, Furina gives him Hydro application for Vape and a 80% damage buff and Xianyun gives him infinite plunges and plunge buff. You can literally use any other melee character instead of Kazuha and get the same or probably better results. The Abyss competition made zero sense
Alternatively, the takeaway here is that it takes C6 to make a support character competitive to a DPS. We all know how small of a DPS increase Xiao gets from cons. He could be C0 here, and we'd just add maybe 10 seconds to his times.
tbh Pyro C6 Kazuha is now one of the best single-target dps characters in speedruns, with Xiangyun Bennet and Ayaka (ayaka for defense shred and cryo application)

I got Xiao in 1.3. He was my first 5* DPS. Xiao was my first crowned character and my first lvl 90 character. I beat my first Abyss a few weeks after getting him. One half with Xiao and the other half with Razor. Yet, he was extremely powercrept by other alternatives and Abyss became harder and harder. So it's been over two years since I can beat an Abyss 12 with Xiao. I wanted to Xianyun to play him again. And it's sad to see that Xianyun without Xiao is doing better than Xiao with her.. :/

THIS is plunging done right, and I should know because Xiao was my first ever 5 star (his release banner) and I *HATE* playing him! Only used for combat events that gave a huge plunge dmg bonus, but now I am running a mdps Xianyun :D
Since you said plunging done right, in case you care about damage more than playstyle, c0 xiao has higher dpr and dps than c5 xianyun and even at c6 xianyun their dps is close. Only in this video did she win by 3 seconds because it’s her dedicated abyss and she had c6 furina whereas xiao had c3 furina. If you want to see plunging done right in terms of damage, xiao is still far superior

I built a DPS Xianyun C1 and I have played that team a lot and believe is quite good, considering my Albedo is C0. But the one I like the most is using Fischl (C6) instead of Albedo, For the Wenut that would probably solve it.

On Xianyun, you could also give atk circlet a try. I found that it gives more dmg than my crit build.

I went from completely ignoring this banner's new characters, to pulling for C2 Xianyun and C6 Faruzan (and C6 Gaming) because I absolutely love her! THIS is plunging done right, and I should know because Xiao was my first ever 5 star (his release banner) and I *HATE* playing him! Only used for combat events that gave a huge plunge dmg bonus, but now I am running a mdps Xianyun :D
Since you said plunging done right, in case you care about damage more than playstyle, c0 xiao has higher dpr and dps than c5 xianyun and even at c6 xianyun their dps is close. Only in this video did she win by 3 seconds because it’s her dedicated abyss and she had c6 furina whereas xiao had c3 furina. If you want to see plunging done right in terms of damage, xiao is still far superior

I built a DPS Xianyun C1 and I have played that team a lot and believe is quite good, considering my Albedo is C0. But the one I like the most is using Fischl (C6) instead of Albedo, For the Wenut that would probably solve it.

No lie, when I see Xiao in a DPS showdown, I always goes "How is he going to lose this time?" Sad part is I like him alot, but I know he would never win any of this
Because xiao is essentially c0 in all of these vids, he has the most garbage cons in the game. 95% of people will have c0 soo Compare c0 xiao to c0 every other dps, hed do much better
Xiao c6 is basically the same as c0, and these dps showdowns mean nothing when not even 0.1% of genshin players have c6 of said characters. True comparisons should be at c0 dps with their best supports and teams instead of abusing a c6. I vividly remember in a dilic dps showdown, iwtl used c6 yelan in his team and never switched to diluc for better clear time. 💀
There is no lessen to be learned from these videos, its entertainment for some ppl and it also works as misinfo for others.

i've been asking for almost 2 years that they change xiao's C6 to 1 target. so he can be good in 1v1 scenarios. also because every other constellation sucks(c1 is fine,but if you have c6 not so much).

Aw. that 12-1-1 time is 2 seconds faster than we could do with noelle when we tried the other day. 4 seconds faster than mine because i don't have zhongli cons to stop the robots from slowing me and my furina is only c2.
