Semiconductor manufacturing is a huge undertaking. It needs massive investment in fabs, fab equipment, EDA CAD tools and finally assembly and test facilities. These are all specialized areas and will need huge amounts of Human Resources. Good to see Minister Vaishnav taking this charge. This needs an Engineering mindset.
Me Being an Electronics engineer, currently working in IT firms, can remember those VLSI classes 😂😂😂😂... No teachers had any real life experience...

It seems this is a multi-faceted victory. As PM Modi enjoys majority public support, he have let these educated ministers run their show. It does not look like any of them have aggressive PM dreams but to excel in ministry provided to them which in turns help India.
That's what i like, most of our head ministers of different ministries are calm minded, sensible, polite, articulate, understanding, soft-spoken, suljhe hue, suitable for their ministry field and non seem to have greed for PM seat but just to excel in their respective ministries.
This is one the best thing about modi government and a big highlight also that they give ministries to the experts in that particular field even if that person didn't contest loksabha election.
Atleast they know what they are handling.
Congress government would give it to any "pappu" just to make a coalition party happy or for caste vote bank

@@KnowledgeEnthusiast I know little about Hardeep Singh Puri and Anurag Thakur, I'll look up to know about them, but I know Nitin Gadkari, I almost forgot about him at the time, he is a great he knows his work/ responsibility in and out, he has excellent vision of the future of transportation, I knowledge and experience he has I wish we got him early and wish that he remains in his position for years to come.

This is not physics. I am sure he knows physics and has the capacity to understand the science, but this is more about the ecosystem of semiconductor production.
He has graduated from IIT so he definitely can understand science but the thing is if you appoint an IITian in any sector that involves technology, that person will have better overall understanding of the field. He was also IAS or IFS so he has idea of that field too

Now I understand what's the difference between Minister from Rajya Sabha and Minister from Lok Sabha.
This doesn't put down MP from Lok Sabha, but he/she need more time on the ground, spend time with people, but an MP from Rajya Sabha can completely devote their time in policy / decision making.

The services they provided are good but unfortunately that is only limited to our labs, If we have to do some research on a photonics sample or simulations, We can do it even at home if we have a alias access of Lumericals but unfortunately that is not available now, so we are only limited to our labs during class/research hours. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon as Vaishnav sir is there, he is an excellent person and hopefully he will do something by listening to our internal feedback.
