Morning! A very pleasant surprise to see an early video! Especially one discussing such critically important issues.
(This is a very long comment, I know, and for that I apologize, but if you would please be so kind as to scroll down to the end if you would prefer to skip over the ranting bit and get to the point about the complimentary nature of your & one of Preston Stuart's video discussions, which you may well find quite useful & rather intriguing.)
Outside of the immediate dangers of war, democratic backsliding and such agressive & underhanded tactics as Grey zone attacks & propaganda represent perhaps the greatest of dangers we don't know we all face today, making them that much more dangerous, as such malign effects spare no one, and yet, far too much of the general population, those just trying to live their lives who have tremendously important & time-consuming priorities like raising a family, and who don't have the time, resources or education necessary to be constantly finding their way through informational & geopolitical propaganda to find what's honest, meaningful & true, are hopelessly ignorant if the dangers, while too many others are too often ignorant by choice or just plain apathetic. And it's all made so much worse to the point of being very & truly deadly by a significant number of those in positions of responsibility, who are supposed to protect people, their country & the world from precisely these kinds of dangers, but who are actually engaging in such sordid efforts or have been compromised to the point of actually being a danger to those they're meant to protect.

P.S., I'd commented on your last geopolitical video regarding American views toward Putin & the direction he's taking Russia. I've copied & pasted the comment and a link to a TH-cam video from Preston Stuart's channel in which he cites & provides references to multiple series of polls taken very recently, as recently as this past April, showing how little support there is for Putin among Americans, and how Putin's Russia is seen as an enemy by about as many, if not more, Americans than as North Korea. But he also makes the point that **who** is saying **what** and how those messages are shared & amplified which gives the world and Americans themselves, an inaccurate view & poor understanding of where their fellow citizens actually stand on such important issues, which itself can create problems by causing a not insignificant portion of the population to follow along and kind of go with the flow, while issues other segments of the population care about are co-opted by these same people who then use that support to push a different agenda.
I just thought I'd re-post again here, because I think you'd find the information both fascinating and useful. And perhaps you would like to help spread the word & make the point that, on many issues that are confusing, difficult or, often by the people pushing an agenda, obscured & propagandized, simply knowing simple truths of where others really stand and/or that people may attempt to use such information against them can bring at least enough clarity & understanding of the sort they need to protect themselves and make they right choices - key ingredients for a healthy democracy.

Jonathan, the TL;DR of this is that Americans *DO NOT* like Putin or Putin's Russia, and by & large see them as an enemy even more so than we do China, and tend to see Russia to about the same degree we see Iran & North Korea as enemies.
It might be worth while checking out Preston Stuart's breakdown (link below) of American attitudes toward Putin & Russia according to a recent series of polls. He makes clear that modern America, by a very, very wide margin, absolutely *DOES NOT* support Putin, his regime or his goals, and it is, rather, an incredibly loud but incredibly small minority of Americans in positions that make ignoring them very difficult which are giving people an inaccurate perception of American's feelings toward Russia.

Spot on. I’m glad this information can potentially reach a wider audience in a new context. Generally people from the far right and far left simply want to deny the facts. Seeing it has devastating impacts on real people may wake some of us up.
Excellent content. It is impossible for me not to think that the endless roadblocks within American courts and political institutions are accomplished with money to buy people both directly and indirectly. That money is not coming from big business. Above all business needs stability not panicking shareholders dealing with constant unrest. Russia and China are the obvious sources. It is far, far cheaper than financing wars and it gets better results. The money Russia spent on waring on Ukraine could have bought them every, factory, every mine, every oil field etc, etc. and thousands of acres of farmland. The profits of which could buy them their next country.

There has not been enough attention in the Netherlands of Wilders in relation to CPAC. People are focused on the outcome of the formation, but taken in account that Wilders participates in an anti democratic meeting, the Freedom Party seems not te be about freedom at all. I think we (the Dutch) have to expose this more. It is better that we have new elections and that Wilders party will be reduced to be able to exclude them from a role in any formation of government.
Given Orban’s admiration of the Chinese system, he must be somewhat bemused by the current state of the Chinese economy.
How fragile democracy is! The mathematician Kurt Godel had a theory of how America could become an autocracy. (Einstein advised him not to broach the subject during his American citizenship interview. Well, he did! And had the citizenship granted.) I don't know what his theory was, but the threat is big. Come November and we shall know. The irony of it all is that often autocracy is elected through democratic means. Thank you Jonathan for your videos. I watched Civil War last night - we must hold on to our democracies and not backslide! US democracy was downgraded by the Economist Democracy Index to a flawed democracy.

Thanks, Jonathan, for this illuminating report. Russian influence in Republican USA politics is such a huge issue with a potentially catastrophic impact on democracy. I'm astonished that the media isn't broadcasting this as a fear producing headline! I'm thinking that there is payoff there too.
This is why the film Don't Look Up was such a stinging rebuke of this kind of popularist politicking. Replace culture wars/wokism or with the southern border as a distraction with don't look up
