For example I know in MKwii, the large Mii is only 1km/h slower than funky kong. That's it. And even still, that 1km/h is only worth it in time trials. I think people use fk because A. LOL, bags for star and ghost, shock dodges two seconds after activating star, gets a bullet from using the ghost, bullet lasts extremely long, has triple mushrooms to dodge blue shell, and then has a horn to make sure nobody can pass. Very epic
what kills me is the brave and optimistic waluigi at 2:05 who tries to shoot ahead, but alas, it was in vain, and the glory he once sought has left him with nothing but a wail of despair that gets cut off perfectly
To me it would be kind of the opposite of this. I would gain an early lead and maintain first place throughout most of the race cruising through and deflecting occasional attacks until midway through the final lap i would finally get blue shelled and fall to third place. As I begin to accelerate I would then get red shelled and my opponents would plow through my stunned character as I fall to 7th place. Finally, upon approaching the goal line while cursing Toadette for red shelling me, someone will bullet bill through me and I'd fall to 9th place. Finally as I cross the finish line a random opponent would pass me at the last possible second and I stroll in 10th place to end the race.
In case you all are wondering why there are so many Waluigi’s on the Wiggler. It’s because it’s meta and is the best kart combinations in the game now.

A typical race on Yoshi Circuit for Mario Kart 8 is some guy gets super far ahead of everyone else, so you get overpowered items in second, but no matter what you do, no one can catch up to him.
I have no idea how I knew, but I literally told myself 20 seconds into the race “there will probably be a shock at the beginning of lap 2, he has a star so he’ll probably use it going into the final turn” and that exact thing happened 😂
