Go see it, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson make Christian and Ana come to life, so ignore the bullshit review's and see the movie! So glad they made the movie for fan's who love books, you will be pleasantly surprised, so enjoy, we deserve it! Dvd can't get her fast enough!
I don't mind people loving the books or movies... it just baffles me to no ends. I can at least understand if you enjoy it because it's so bad it's good. But... to genuinly think it's a masterpiece? I can't even think about that with a straight face. It's like saying Meet the Spartans is the next Magnum Opus of cinema.

Love your post, thank you so much for that. I've read the books 4times(am on my 5th read) but wasn't ready to go and see the movie, because of most of the reviews(not that I listen to them) and the clips that I've seen so far. So, they did stick to the book, mostly then.

The ONLY thing about Fifty Shades of Grey that i’m positively interested in is the score by Danny Elfman. Because Danny Elfman.
Jamie and Dakota were perfect! Granted they did change some things from the book and left out quite bit but you got the love story of Christian and Ana. The movie is only 2 hrs long that's not a lot of time to get to tell all 514 pages of Fifty Shades of Grey obviously things and scenes had to be left out and even changed to tell the story. I understood that, Jamie was gorgeous and sexy as hell and Dakota was amazing she captured Anastasia perfectly.
I thought Jaime Dornan captured Christians lost look wonderfully... his pained faces at not knowing what is changing within him were believable and great.... If your a fan of the books see the film.... Its a great surprise....

So it's understandable that people who have never read the books didn't like it or enjoy it or understood what's going on!
There are bits in the movie that only a true Fan of the book would understand!
It is true though that the movie was a bit fast paced. But Sam did the best she could to include the essential scenes from the boô and try to make a good picture.
The Humor in the movie was a greaaat surprise ! Dakota is so talented and played the role brilliantly.
As for Jamie, it seems very difficult to play Christian especially in the adaptation of the first book; because he is supposed to be distant and no talking so much and very closed to Ana. Again people who did not read the book might say that he has a poor performance and comes out as "stiff" . But as a true fan I really acknowlegde that Jamie did a BRILLIANT job bringing Christian Grey to Life.
So fans of #FiftyShades Go see the movie you won't be disappointed ! Intriguing and lots of laughs are assured!

I think you have to read all 3 books before you can judge the movie. So people that are hating on the film(and I haven't seen it yet)like you said, haven't read the books to understand the movie. 94.9 something million dollars....well somebody liked the movie:o) And like you, I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait until June 22nd to get the DVD.

I cannot wait for them to do the next movie for the next book. (Hopefully they won't drag it out a year or two...this story is only like 3 months long, btw) I'm reading book three right now, but I think book two is my favorite. Kind of like Eclipse...when Edward comes back..Eclipse was my favorite book in that series....its like this story...when Ana comes back (5 days is nothing...Edward was gone for like 500 pages if I remember correctly lol). I wasn't even planning on seeing the movie or reading the books...but I'm glad I did. No, it's not Jane Austen or William Shakesphere, but it's funny, sexy and romantic at the same time.

I'm not seeing it until sunday, so I can't say it's good or bad. I do really like Jamie's acting so I'm looking forward to it. But in my opinion critics are always looking for something to be award winning. There are tons of movie that I LOVE that have terrible reviews and aren't oscar or golden globe, etc. nominated. That doesn't mean it's not enjoyable to SOME people. I try to stay away from reviews whether it be for music, movies, books. You can't let that ruin your fun.

Guys the movie is great. Saw it yesterday. It's sophisticated, well directed and romantical. It satisfied my expectations.

This is such a beautiful, stirring score. It's especially perfect during the ending moments of the film, conveying such an intense level of tension and agony. There's such deep feelings between them but neither has the ability to connect--it's so unfamiliar to both of them. Jamie and Dakota were superb together. I think finally the haters and naysayers will pull their tails between their legs and slink off into the shadows, properly silenced. I can't wait for them to film Darker. It's the most powerful book in the Trilogy.
1:28 makes me feel so much that I start to cry for them.
Saw this last night. If I was 17or 18 and inexperienced, it maybe worth the time and money. A lot like the book but with A LOT LESS SEX. SKIP and wait for blu-ray or HBO.
I needed a 4 hour movie...I know they have to cut for time, but I missed some of what I thought were good parts...anyway, I saw it 4 times so I guess I enjoyed the movie..hurry up with Book 2 and 3, please.
Too bad that this movie isn't playing on cinema in my country. I hope i could watch this movie soon since i had been finished reading the book. The book is good enough and romantic, I like the way grey treat Ana, I found it romantic when grey gives Ana a lot of attention. And I hope the sequel, fifthy shades of darker would be realease soon lol.
