The sound that fills and swirls around the cathedral when they let go of the word “endless” is pure musical magic. I’ve had the privilege to sing this in an acapella group too, but cannot approach the breathtaking beauty of the sound they make here.
This trip was the best. Singing in places like this is one of the best experiences anyone could ever have. Doing it with Westminster is just an honor in itself!

I don't know exactly why, but once every 6-8 months I remember that this exists and I come back to it. I marvel at the artistry, I wonder if the men singing this song knew exactly what they were going to produce, and I wonder if being part of that has stuck with them these many years. It is truly something to create and be part of a moment as special as this. Thank you for sharing it with us.

David Phelps wrote this arrangement for GVB, and Westminster is one of the very few I have heard to do it sublime justice. It’s breathtaking. I think it’s easily the best arrangement of this hymn.
The absolute best barbershop singing I've ever had the privilege of listening to. I'm almost surprised to learn that I do NOT have to pay to listen to this.

Chills, goosebumps, almost to the point of shedding a tears... I first heard of this hymn when I heard a simple upbeat guitar arrangement of the hymn from Chris Rice on my Spotify and I was just coming across some other arrangements here on TH-cam. I came upon this one and something just told me to stop scrolling and listen to it. Sure enough, it was worth me to stop scrolling! He needs to get out of the way - the words of the song speak for themselves - he's rehearsed the song we do not need to see but only hear his interpretation - which is to his taste. For my taste I would prefer a less complicated interpretation that sincerely expresses the words; I'm delighted though that so many have found it a blessing.
