I just went in this past weekend. Menards is the store I can't go in for just one thing without walking out with five. What's nice is that you never have to wonder when the next 11%-off rebate will be because it's literally every month.
Menards is also great to work at, at least the store i work at. Everyone is awesome and everyone gets along.
Lol I'm stuck off of work because of Covid. Am I really missing it so much that I'm actively searching out Menards vids on TH-cam?

I love browsing Menards. It is amazing how identically the floor is set up in this store and the one in my town. A few of the Masterforce hand tools are still made in USA. Screwdrivers and nutdrivers for example.
yep, and the air compressors are made in minnesota, menards owns midwest manufacturing which employs like 10,000 people in total and makes a lot of things like closets, large building plans, and even like you said, hand tools.
There's only a few Menards stores where the floor layout is way different. I went to the International Falls, Minnesota store and it's the weirdest most ass backwards layout Menards I've ever seen lol

What I love about these stores is even though they are big box stores in every sense of the word, they still have a real small town feel to them. Yes, they have an insane amount of merchandise, but it still has a very homey feeling to it all.

Master force is own brand for Menards typically it is 20 to 30 % discounted from normal.. just saying..

I shop at my local menards all the time. Store is just awesome. Mine is right across the street from Home Disassembled. If Menards doesn’t have it then HD will.
For me going to a hardware is like my heaven because even if i am not an expert mechanic i just love tool boxes and that kind of stuff

That is an average size Menards store. I've been to 6 locations & they are all bigger then Lowe's & Home Depot.
@@tobbytownsend9968 yes this is the average Menards store size. Some big cities have the bigger ones! Like Menards in Ames, Iowa has a upstairs (not the mezzanine) but like a actual second level with windows looking over the parking lot and such. Pretty cool
🚨My old lady would rather go to Menards than any other store she likes 11% off and she likes the selection and she likes that they have other things like food and she likes the southern things that are in there also.the materials seem to be better than home Depot or Lowe's they have straight 2x4s straighter lumber sometimes it seems like the prices are better. I'm glad that somebody's doing a store tour of this place.👍
I wish their 11% off rebate sales were deducted at the register. Or at least let you get a rebate card and have it loaded right away at the register or at the customer service desk. The way it is now you have to Mail the rebate receipt in with the rebate form then wait 2-3 months for them to send you a paper rebate card that’s only good in the Menards store
I don’t see that any good, if the deductible refunded money aren’t being done right after you pay at register, simply ain’t worth it, and I’m thinking it doesn’t work like that because of the possibility of items being returned shortly after purchasing
20:45 I recently bought that Delta miter saw. The "robotic arms" (as they refer to them) are smooth as silk. The motor has quite a bit torque, when you turn the saw on, it will actually gently pull itself up. The saw has a white LED above the blade that casts a shadow of the blade onto the piece you are cutting, which I think is a much better option than a laser that can very easily go out of alignment. Also, the motor isn't as loud as many other brands. I am very happy with it. Bosch HAD a table saw to compete with SawStop, it was called Reflexx. They discontinued it a long time ago because they couldn't compete price-wise with SawStop, especially with SawStop having been around much longer than the Reflexx saw. It was decent, you actually got two shots out of a single cartridge, and only had to replace the brake which was cheaper than SawStop's single shot cartridge where you only get one shot out of it. I think Bosch's biggest downfall with it was, the contractor size saw, was the ONLY one they offered in that lineup, where SawStop has several saws in their lineup to choose from. I was kinda surprised that you didn't show the Masterforce tool boxes.

The cone top is shaped like that for many different thinks rope, led lights, and if you are putting lots of cones for a highway you will do it out of a truck and that helps with grip.
Definitely one of things i miss from the midwest is menards Texas just has Lowe's and homedepot nowhere near as good as menards.
I have the delta miter saw and love it! It has smother action than the Bosch, for less money. I go to menards all the time. Great store!
Menards is a good all around store. I think the food aspect is a big selling point for Menards. The tool selection is ok but nothing to write about. I feel it has a higher emphasis on diy/Homeowner powertools when compared to the other two stores. The other two stores for the most part have 3 pro brands, a midrange or two, and a homeowner/store brand or two. I would like to see Menards streamline their lineup. Get rid of some of the el cheapo no-name brands. Maybe fill in the gaps with more products from companies under Robert Bosch and Chervon since they are pretty big in Menards already.
Well Chervon makes a huge amount of Menards branded power tools already

I live in the Chicago area so I have an abundance of Menards and I love that store I just don't like the color of the master Force tools but I'll tell you what they are good quality tools if you can get past that ugly green you're all good I'm not a big fan of their cordless stuff but for a DIY guy or an entry level tradesman it would be fantastic I just wish I would have some higher quality cordless power tools but other than that it's an amazing store you can buy a can of tuna a king size mattress some high quality socks for your feet even couches so they literally have everything it's like a contractor's dream he could get everything he needs for him and his family it's really great practically 225,000 square feet of greatness

I’ve never had a bad Masterforce tool.
Man the UK sucks for stuff like this there are no stores that have this breadth and depth of stock. This is HUGE, the only big tool stores you get just have a counter which you order from via catalogue or online order. I guess the closest we have is machine mart but they’re a fraction of the size… the whole store wouldn’t fit even half of these shelves. Pathetic.

I did some work up in KC Mo and they had manards up there, closest to Louisiana , I never went in :-/ Cool to see Knipex on the shelf, only other place I see that is Grainger

Diablo makes awesome jigsaw blades they are available at Home depot.
I've got some Masterforce SDS bits they seem to work well. I use them in the corded Bosch Bulldog.

Isn't this a chain found only in the Midwest? I remember two of them when I lived in Nebraska several years ago. There's the one in Elkhorn, and one in Lincoln, both of where I used to go for hardware.
I've been to 5 locations in the Omaha/Bellevue/Coucil Bluffs area, they are all bigger then Lowe's & Home Depot

My experience has been masterforce and harbor freight are the same quality....but harbor freight is more than half the price. Can't beat menards for plumbing though!

@@GeauxFastRacingsome of their stuff is crappy. But I definitely choose Masterforce over most anything Harbor Freight any day. Mine have served me well and I’m not easy on them. Way better than Craftsman lol

Menards is the Walmart of hardware stores. A lot of cheap crap there. They are a step above Harbor Freight, but much lower than Home Depot and Lowes. Oh, the theme song sucks and does keep me out of the stores because of it. They do have some good tools, but a good amount sucks. Be careful with their premium wood like walnut also. The boards look to be dimensioned properly, but I have experienced almost every board to be off by 1/4" from one end to the other. They do have a good selection of fasteners though. Oh yea, you can get dog food and slim jims there as well.

Idk, I returned a defective weedeater that already had gas in it and didnt even have the box and they let me exchange it.

Say what you will I am impressed with Crapsman's new V20 stick vacuum, $199 blows away Dyson, and uses tool batteries, has headlights, stands up by itself, fully washable canister, it's at Lowes.
