I’d like to see how many amps it pulls on SSB. I had one sounded terrible on SSB. Almost sounded like the signal was getting clipped. Made me wonder if my 50 amp power supply was not producing enough power for the peak output of the amp.
I wonder how it would work with an AnyTone AT-6666? also curious about the Wilson 1000 magnet mount antenna what is the maximum amount of power you can put into those? I want to use it for 11 and 1l0 meters since I'm a Ham.
The Wilson 1k will handle up to 1k watts I belive I'm sure it will handle 500 on ssb without a problem because the little will is rated for 500 and its not as stout as a 1000
I've just got kl503 so on a dead key on am what should I be at so iam not over powering the amp on ssb where I mostly worck can't get Wright answer I've Ben following your video closely thanks
I know this question was awhile ago but SSB don't have a dead key if your radio is stock 12-watt ssb u can run It Wide Open into that amplifier for some reason SSB isn't as hard on an amplifier as am because there's no carrier so you can run more power into them but on a.m. you probably wouldn't want more than a 4 watt dead key. Basically if your radio is stock hasn't been turned up you'll be fine on both am and Side Band
I know this might be a dumb question. But what size amp can u put in a vehicle without having to upgrade the battery or alternator extra? Just a stock ssb radio and what amp?

I run one in my Honda Civic with no problem.
I run a 500 in my pickup and it does dimm the lights at night when I key up on high lol I usually just run the amp on Medium 250 watt.

So what is the difference between an RM Italy and a Fat Boy amplifier? Are the RM Italy’s cheaper? Sound better? Or is it the other way around?
All rm Italy are mosfet and relatively speaking low drive.
