- Despite first appearances, steel fabricator Dion truly loves his 2008 MK7 Ford Transit. His van is a genuine workhorse, ferrying Dion and his welding kit to and from clients. @@fanaticjay3825 while I love Jeremy Clarkson, and want him back with top gear, I feel like getting fired was a reasonable response to him assaulting a producer. (Unless the producer provoked him, it depends on the context of the assault). Plus from what I heard he wasn’t the greatest guy to be around. His value to the BBC can only get him so far.
As a detailer myself, I always find car cleaning supplies in the dirtiest vehicles. I guess they planned to clean and gave up when they saw how daunting it can be.
Okay...serious talk. I would NEVER have thought about using a paintbrush to get into the corners and crevices while power washing. Excellent idea! Also, I've always been impressed at people who are skilled at a job others either look down on or are too afraid to tackle. Artisans are found in every profession.
They are called detail brushes, usually made of boar hair to prevent scratching.
Forget the paintbrush.....since when did top gear become a washing channel 😕😩😩. Feels like they're running out of ideas.
Would love to know a bit more about the type of product and tools used through out the vehicle. The information given about cleaning the door card was useful.
Imagine May (Captain OCD) cleaning the air vents of the Transit with the toothbrush and paintbrush, keeping them all lined correctly. 😂

8 hours to just wash the paint work.
8 hours to clean the interior and put a bit of silicone gloss on.
Terrible work rate.
What would be the point of it? The paint on it is trashed, covered in primer etc. Plus, they spent the time focusing on dirt removal. That's easily 2 full days work if you're on your own

Oh, and they had to film it all too. Pieces to camera, done professionally, take way longer than you think.

Right how on the earth is the VAN DIRTY This van is clean there is no dirt marks on the rims fender or wheel arch,door I have seen vans were the rims are completely black in Greece gunk and dirt and that just on the rims if TOP GEAR decided they are a cleaning detailer come and clean my vans And I will bet them £100 pounds they will not get it cleaned

Compared to the vans I use to clean this is like new , most of them you couldn't even see the pattern on the seat and would have done the entire van in 8 hours

what the hell has Top gear become.. what a low budget production. Everything from camera work, music choice and presenters on the show has gone to shits now, nothing works together. Its just a new mediocre show carrying the old name it seems. My favorite show of all time is doing van cleaning for content just so sad, sorry for the people who put the effort to create this video but its so sad to see where top great was and what it is now.
