I need help Jazza, when i makes a movie symbol blured, and when i resizes it bigger than a canvas, the blured perimeter of that object always end at all sides of canvas, which shows framed like background. How can i prevent bluring sides of canvas?

If I have "buggered up" my graphic on the main timeline, how can I fix it?. Would it be possible to copy/paste the keyframes into a new layer, re-create the tweens, and then delete the original layer?

Thanks to you I came to realize that I could animate Graphic Symbols, and that was the trick! So many years struggling, and I was about to do frame by frame to get the result I wanted!
Im trying to be an artist or at least a little bit of an artist :P so i can make some games but i keep getting discouraged by my finished product because it just not was i imagined when i began drawing it. does everyone start off mediocre? because i'm worse than mediocre lol. basically what i want to say is, does everyone have a extremely rocky start or am i doing something wrong? I cant seem to get the lines to have the look and shape i want no matter how many times i ctrl + z and retry. how long does it generally take to see improvement in your art?

OMG, so helpful video!! :3 now animating won't be that confusing for me anymore.. I've never used graphics and movieclips properly seriously, I think I will again take a look at AS3 programming since I have gained alot more programming experience over the past 2 years, and an internal graphics and animation engine is pretty sweet!! (it was way to complicated for me 2 years ago) I'm actually programming a little fun game in python at the moment with my own physics system, awkward graphics and so on^^ I guess I might port that to flash, I don't like unity's way of handling 2D graphics :D

This will be super helpful. Thanks! I never bothered to use movie clips because I couldn't figure out how they work and would even be advice by others to completely avoid them. If movie clips are meant for games then they are worth looking into since making games is what I am interested in.

Is it just me? Whenever i put animations on graphic symbols and put them on the timeline and hit enter, it acts like a movie clip too (it doesnt move). I cant freaking animate shiz knowing the effects might cover up the whole animation. Note that im using macromedia flash.
MLP TeeMan You can have the trial for about 5 months. Install CS3. Use it for a month. Upgrade to CS4. Keep doing this until you get to CC. Then, I don't know.
Jazza, can you help me, i have a serious problem... i created a graphic, it is okay in it's own scene, but when i drag it into the main stage, it is nothing, the layer hider is deactivated. (i can see anything in this layer) when i click on the frame, the graphic has a border to show that the object is chosen, i double click on the graphic and it should appear the graphic's own scene, and it is normal but it is invisible on the main stage pls help me...

You remeber that character creation video? You could make a series out of that, making characters and scenes for an ideia of an animation series (just the ideia)
+Ettore Daffara copy the keyframes, then press F8. Select either movie clip or graphic, name it, press okay. Then paste the keyframes into the new symbol.

I have an animation of 40 frames, and I need to add glow effect to them, so how do I turn all the frames into symbols in one click to save time?
You can't turn a frame into a symbol, you have to turn objects into symbols.

that happens when you try and tween something that isn't already a symbol, it converts it into one and names it tween

cs6? I have flash professional cc with no bone tool.

Animate just added a new feature called framepicker, should serve same function as keyframe caddy.
