Seems like there’s a lot more mixed nationalities for people with more north/western European roots. My dad’s family is Italian (Sicilian), and until my dad’s generation when he married my mom, who is Irish, people in my dad’s family DID NOT marry outside of Italians, so it’s all Italians down the line. And yes, they will ask you a dozen times if you want anything to eat
But also, Greek and Italian culture are very similar
