i feel like for a deck that cares so much about equipment it should have a few more cheap equipment in the list, possibly replacing redundant kor firewalkers (that could be moved to the board) or aether vials. stoneforge masterwork could even work as an equipment that cares about kor, or captain's claws as an equipment that makes them.
Agreed there are a lot of good cheap equipment that could had been added to make it a better deck. Something that gave hexproof/shroud could had helped with the target removal. Otherwise more of the 1 cost equipment such that Armament Master could grow huge and thus make all the other kor huge, while still letting Akiri do her thing.
The problem with adding more equipment is an issue i have seen ever since equipment was added to the game too many equipment turns your deck into what my play group calles the weapon emporium where you have a field of equipment but no threats to put them on or you get all your equipment dependent creatures and no equipment there are just far too many issues with adding more equipment having a few but super powered equipment and tutoring them up works significantly better than adding low cost low benefit equipment
Yeah, while there's a worry about making sure you don't have too much equipment and not enough creatures, I think the balance is too far in the other direction at the moment. Lightning Greaves seems good with Akiri and against targeted removal even if it is a bit awkward with your other equips.
There's a surprising amount of really good kor! There's just not much tribal support. Edit: I'm not sure if I'll be able to find it now, but I saw a 5-0 Kithkin list in modern. It's super janky but I don't think it's a _terrible_ deck.
Changes I'd make are put some of the firewalkers to sideboard, about 2 probably replacing a kithkin and stomp and replacing them with 2 more cheap/insta attach equipment. I'd also like/love to make room for cleansing wildfire sideboard over blood moon because it can stop natural tron on the draw while blood moon can't. I think the kithkin are redundant in this instance, but I don't know what the last card to cut is. I have most of these pieces in paper, got the full mana base, so I can't wait for this horrid shutdown to be over in the hopefully near future so more people can go to play again and I get to play the 5+ modern decks I've built in the quarantine MTG bear market.
@@Geroaergaroe it depends on the type of tron. Against E-tron it's a cantripping sinkhole, but U tron has a large number of basics. Against G tron its a medium card, since it turns off tron but they still only have a few basics
@@drakeconsumerofsoulsandche4303 Meh, I'm still not convinced. Not to mention that one of the biggest benefit of Sphere is that it's sideboard against both storm and Tron. Basically, the choice is how you want to use that sideboard slot : against tron and storm, or against tron, whichever land deck you hate the most and maybe human.
Giver of runes seems like a weird cut against tron, since it gives pro-colorless. Forge tender seems a bit overkill with all the lifegain and pro red already in the maindeck though. Maybe swapping those out for nonbasic land hate would be good.
No, he was dead. He was at 6 but would have had to pay 1 life to use the Lightning Bolt. So there's 4 damage from the one unblocked Vengevine and 1 damage from the Narcomoeba for exact lethal.
@@bigbuffguy9589 One of the creatures he could have played was a Kor Firewalker, which would have gained a life when he casts the bolt, putting him back at 6.
I feel like not having blood moon in the deck is intentional. There are only two basic plains in the deck, and it’s a mostly white deck, so shutting off your own white sources is really bad.
List could be adjusted if Blood Moon is desired. Windswept Heath is just your choice of Sacred Foundry or Plains. Also a deck playing 8 red cards can cut red sources
Enjoyed the video. Always fun to watch Seth play. However, I'll add that a janky tribe like Kor in a powerful format like Modern is more like an ATO deck than a Much Abrew one. My guess before watching was we'd wind up 1-4 or 2-3 depending on which matchups we'd face.
I think the 2 mana equipament kor make no semse without some hammer times, specially if you have tutors like stonforge, 1 for silver bullet would be soo helpfull to finish the game quick in several opportunities this video :)
I swear, more than half of the MTG videos I watch that starts with "we're playing Modern this week!" is followed a minute later by "ok game 1! Can we---oh it's tron.... *sigh*"
watching m1g1, and commenting as i see: i was under the impression that sofaf is better against tron because the hand disruption plus untap for answers helps a lot. obviously, there are no answers to a wurmcoil here. but, then, what is 2 dmg + draw doing better than opp discard + untap?
Seth, you are a great person and i love you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for everything you did to me. You are part of my family although you don't even know who i am. I have so much fun watching you play Magic. You are awesome
Slow play is obnoxious but Seth has absolutely no room to talk. During live streams he’ll sit there and talk to chat while the opponent is waiting. So coming from Seth I think he should assume the person is talking to chat and be understanding.
I'm incredibly proud of Seth for not scooping to T3 Tron and opponent managing to see the line of passing the turn.
If you scoop to a tron player assembling turn 3 tron, then you're a bad player
@@dingdongs5208 I never said it was the right thing to do... but often the straight up mana advantage is enough to scoop with any threat played t3-4
Seth: * complains that an opponent is playing slow *
Also Seth while streaming: * does not pass priority while talking to the chat *
:P
That first game was hilarious. Seth just like : Come on opponent, i believe in you, you can do it !
I feel like this isn't an exaggeration: slow players are the absolute worst people on the planet.
@@PerhapsOOTMM especially a slow tron player. "You have the win just play it!" lol
He even beat them fair and square in G3 after contemplating letting them lose to time ^^
Well, kor did beat the eldrazi in zendikar. So the result of the first match was expected.
I do love myself some flavorful games
"Can we mulligan into graveyard hate, and can our opponent mulligan into an answer to graveyard hate?"
- Official motto of Modern

Captain's Claws is great with Armament Master. I played a monowhite Kor deck in Penny Dreadful a while back, it was super fun.
Facts. A few more equipment is just what I was thinking, I'd like to see.

35:07 I think you can play Firewalker, bolt Vengivine to gain 1 life, block and win the game.
Pretty sure you're right.
embercleave seems good in this deck
In the deck whose average creature is smaller than a 2/2, so it's usually +2/+2 to +3/+3?
Seth, Giver of Runes gives protection from colorless! It's one of your best cards against Tron!
Hearing Seth talk at x2 speed when mentioning the chipmunk voice is something I never knew I needed to hear before, lol

I feel like Stone Haven Outfitter is worth considering for this deck.
Oops all combos is my new favorite archetype.
I about lost it when they sideboarded into Belcher. 🤣
Now, LEGACY Kor Tribal would be interesting... more cards in the tribe.
Richard is clearly holding a Panharmonicon hostage
I heard tell stories that Cleansing Wildfire is _amazing_ against tron
you cold also just include Damping Sphere in the board, like I do in every aggrolist since the card was printed
@#1 George How is wildfire better?
Sure, it ds can be destroyed, but wildfire give them access to colored mana for an easier rebuild.

Forge tender is ok for go wide decks. It stops anger of the gods
And it seems a little cheaty to include in otherwise all Kor tribal deck
Taking out the Vials was the best idea. They're not good in Thoughtseize matchups.
Oh my god, that Tron win was hype as hell!!! The person figured you'd scoop at turn 3 Tron. So when you didn't, he was so baffled 😂😂😂
No one else commenting how Seth removed the only creature that can give pro Colorless vs the all colourless deck?
I JUST finished my Akiri Kor Tribal commander deck. This is sweet!
Against the "oops all spells", you had them in game one. Would have had 1 life left if I counted right!

Seth, according to MTGGoldfish, it is common to have goblin charbelcher in the SB as a switch combo
22:38 Once again Seth blessed by the Magic Gods. He had to grant you that card due to your slow opponent 🤔😂
48:55: Bravo Saffron, Bravo
Match 1 Game 3, when you equipped sword of fire and ice, I think you could have played outfitter instead, and had a free 2/2 on the battlefield
Saffron is it possible to make a real competative equipment deck? If not would you please elaborate on why not?
An Orzohv bars in of this deck would be cool, add hand disruption, removal, but as you said just add Blood Moon and the deck looks pretty sweet
Watching match one game one on 1/4 speed is actually the BEST! LOL
It's so sad that pauper all star Kor Skyfisher didn't make into kor tribal
The opponent playing the Karn they had the whole time made me cackle out loud
At min 8:04 right after he says the youtube speed, i turned speed to x0.25 and seth's voice was hilarious
Next skeleton tribal.
If you don't play Kithkin next week, that's fine I guess...
Please do. xD

Isn't giver of runes ok against tron? It does give protection from colorless so it can at least bait a big karn minus or an ulamog trigger
Exactly. People always forget that it can give protection from colorless. Mom is useless against tron, but Giver is pretty good.

I watch you in 2x speed because you're slow, but I love the hell out of everything you do
4:35: HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE KITHKIN. Richard? (honestly I forgot who it was) will have his revenge!
You should put firewalker in the side and mainboard a couple magnetic thefts and extra equipment
i feel like there should be an abbs workout joke in here somewhere for the amount of times seth saif 'korr power'
I liked the concept, overall great video
Your voice seth at quarter speed is hilarious. Thanks for recommending 😅

I *adore* Kor. Bring it on!
For the record cutting vial was 10000000% correct. It always goes in nonblue midrange m/u's
I feel like you could use a couple pieces of extra self attaching equipment
All right Richard get out here I know this is your fault. Show yourself!
I'm not sure if that game one was a flavor win or a flavor fail, with Kor managing to beat Ula without any Planeswalker assistance. Good game tho!
Watching ur vid in 1/4 speed sounds like ur spitting stuff up lol
There's some solid 1-drop Kor's that could probably replace Vial in this deck.
First game earned my like!
Somehow I got an ad for channel fireball loading this video up.
Haha wow, I really felt the salt in the first game.

To understand the plight of the tron player in Match 1 Game 1, I watched on 2.0x speed. Still tanking super hard
1st match: 404: Opponent Not Found
Seth is the most salty against Tron. I love it
It’s almost like the stoneforge package, vial and bolt can be surrounded by any shit cards you want and still win
Seth, you are a great person and i love you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for everything you did to me. You are part of my family although you don't even know who i am. I have so much fun watching you play Magic. You are awesome
Anyone else not realize Skyclave Apparition had the Kor subtype until watching this?
more relevant is probably the spirit subtype which is most likely why that got overlooked
This is right after the deck tech. But, honestly this pile seems better than Elves in Modern. Just saying...
22:23 Is there a reason you payed to equip when you could have just played the outfitter?
14:33 you saved zendikar!
Why wouldn't this deck run Embercleave?
Slow play is obnoxious but Seth has absolutely no room to talk. During live streams he’ll sit there and talk to chat while the opponent is waiting. So coming from Seth I think he should assume the person is talking to chat and be understanding.
This deck could be really sweet with a few improvements.
Why do so many of these decks lose to tron and why is none of them even remotely prepared for the matchup
I think the deck is pretty good, I just think Seth got unlucky in his match ups
why doesn`t this deck play Nahiri/Emrakul in the board?
I'm surprised he didn't put a collusus hammer in there
In game one, you could have vail'd in armament master. Bad punt!
Game one is the slow roll troll, he knows the true power of the kor tribe
I thought these were coming out during the day now not late at night?
But... Kor creatures are my favorite tribes though 🥺
Hehe “if we look at the ‘Kor’ of the deck”
When opponents play absurdly slow on mtgo I always just assume they're lagging. Nobody plays that slow normally
man seth is hating on tron - good job
Can modern players function without Aether Vial?
Is Tron the new Jund?
I see Akiri and I almost expect Kaldra
Then I realized this is Seth not Tomer
Akiri Power!!!
That first match shows you really shouldn't scoop early
I love seeing Tron getting punished
even the title cant believe it
this deck have potential with kor duelist and remove kor firewalker and colossus hammer
What can I say, the man hates tron.
No colossus hammer :(
But today isn't Wednesday?
Has that "new tron player" smell.
You should 100% not have concede in the tron game. Opp needs to understand that he can’t play this slow every game and get away with it
Who builds your decks, by the way? I'd love to be a fan of deck builders as well as players :D
That's an interesting... Kor to the deck
“A half a step above kithkin”??? Kithkin have payoffs and lords, they are below kithkin
So... skeleton tribal when?
modern seems fun.....
Man Seth, you were uncharacteristically salty in that first game. You were poking fun at your opponent and wording it like a joke.
...deck needs more Equips; 2 more swords, 1 Hammer, and 1 oh, I don't know, *Mage Slayer* ?
Also needs *Disenchant* and *Kor Duelist*
FIXED
Why no kor duelist?
The constant "I'm going to lose" drives me nuts.
