To me this is grace! her true spirit shines through. its a time where she connects with her environment without thought.. no one around ..no distractions. this is were her inspiration for writing comes from It was such shame that she lost her tree house when moving from her home town. because In my opinion this was her place of solitude and her best work was done here. every ‘creative’ needs a place to “escape sometimes” it’s very important. especially if you are a sensitive person like Grace.

Why is it when grace starts singing your entire “being” is just engulfed by it your drawn in she touches you like no other can. yes there are amazing singers out there who do beautiful renditions full of emotion. but it’s not the same. not on the same “level” there is something in this girl that is very mysterious otherworldly.

While at Interlochen art school, Grace created five unfinished works-in-progress and they are all stunning - I Think It’s Gonna Be Alright, Sally, Chante La Vie Chante, Like Can’t You See and Free Me. The songs contain intoxicating hints of jazz, blues, soul and folk set to contemporary tempos and beats. Although unfinished, they are her best works to date.

They had a chance to become huge but chose to stay a Indie band that only played in Canada. They are huge by the way in Canada like a national treasure. They started out at the same time as The Barenaked Ladies but the Ladies went global while the Hip stayed home. They are called The Tragically Hip. If your really into lyrics you'll love this band. The lead singer recently passed away from Brain Cancer and the whole country mourned his death even school children and politicians

Interesting comparison. GI Jane did it because she was becoming totally dedicated to making it but Grace did it because of possible depression
