As Graces' Dad, I've watched many of the reaction videos of our daughter, and I'm always hesitant to comment at all, given this day and how social media works. But I have to say, you really understand what is happening with Grace. It isn't just her song, it isn't just her voice, it isn't just her lyrics, it isn't just the production. It is as if she is giving a window into her soul and in many ways, the window into all of our souls and inner thoughts. Thank you for hearing/understanding what seems to be missing in much of music today. The new music is coming and it will be challenging and satisfying at the same time.
It’s a pleasure and an honour to have you here Mr Vanderwaal. I really appreciate the kind words, thank you. You can be very proud of your amazing daughter. She just has everything, incredible soul with an incredible purpose to boot. I wish her nothing but success and happiness with all that she does. Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos. Grace VanderWaal’s most underrated quality? Her fierce intelligence. Her second most underrated quality? Her ability to create layers of meaning in her lyrics. Genius.
She wrote, performed and produced this song along with “Lay Down in the Backyard” in two days after her Label ( Columbia) sent her some mix equipment. No, she’s not just special she’s extraordinary.
That's what makes her special...she is real, she stays true to herself and does what she loves, the way she loves all the while staying real and writing music that speaks to people of all ages and backgrounds, she makes music have a sense and message, she has the music in her. We are lucky to see and witness her grow as a person and artist. She is special and she breaths music, the impersonation of what music shall be. And true, we are dragged to this thing that society imposes us one way or another about perfection and how people should be, but our "imperfections" are what makes us perfect, we are unique with our good and less good points and thats what makes us special. Grace been reminding us about that every day for the last 4 years making us complectly rethink ourselves and the way we see the world and deal with our imperfections and say in the end "shuddup! Im me, im perfect in my imperfectuons and if you don't like them, then walk your way!" Great reaction as allways man thanks for this.
I think we already agree that Grace's voice and songwriting abilities are off the scale, especially concidering her age. But the thing that really blows my mind about this is another of her "hidden" talents is being revealed! Listen to that arrangement!! She composed, arranged and produced this entire piece sitting her bedroom (or tree house). Big WOW!! Every part and instrument was played and recorded by HER!! Not only that but rumor has it she did all that in less than 48 HOURS!!! I'm now LMFAO with tears in my eyes! That's just INSANELY TALENTED! She really is a modern day Mozart.
Sometimes I wonder how in the world her talent can last at this high a caliber, but then she just keeps on going. Just when I think she can’t do better music than she’s currently doing, she tops it. She actually outdoes her own self. And she always does that. Why do I even question it anymore.
This song has wicked chord progression. It has a kind of proggy sound like "Gucci Shoes" which is why they are two of my favorite Grace songs now. Also, I think this video itself is sublime.
“She played me” that was funny. She does that a lot. She has punch lines. She has twists at the end of her songs. She kind of builds up a song with questions or issues that get settled at the end. And not always how you expected. I didn’t really notice how much she does that til you reacted to this. And that’s just the lyrics. The melody was so lovely and haunting, but then it gets bright when she wants it to. Just the way the music was constructed was so different and all the cool notes she sings in. You didn’t really know where she was going. Nothing was predictable. And it all worked perfectly. She isn’t just a genius musician, she is a study in art.
Love this song , Grace loves to play with themes of light and dark , either in the same song or in contrasting songs , one thing she always does even in her dark songs like Darkness Keeps chasing me is end them on a note of hope
Great reaction, as all of your reactions to Grace have been. This song is what you get when artistic genius and teen angst meet. And as you discovered, it's an incredible message of self-acceptance and empowerment.
I agree.. to me Grace is perfect. I can't get over how she looks so different constantly but is always elegant.. even when she's in everyday clothes or the amazing vintage pieces that she finds that always look perfect on her. She is an amazing beauty that is like a chameleon that is constantly changing. So that she's not a clone of all the other young artists but is so uniquely herself. And since she dresses in vintage a lot, there's no fear that she will spawn clones or wannabes that want to imitate her. And that is also true of her sound. I love that she's singing a lot of really old music now that suits her so much. It's like she belongs in a different era.
"I don't want to tell people in my music that the world is perfect because it's not!" "I want to tell people that the world can be perfect because of you !!" Grace Vanderwaal (13) I believe Grace's "Apprenticeship years" are now over! Simon Cowell and Columbia Records recognized that! I think that's why they sent Grace a new "toy"! It is a mixing software called "Logic" !! And as we can all see, Grace knows exactly how to handle it! In my opinion, Grace is on the best way to make her own productions !! It looks like Grace is now able to show all of her "potential" and that will very often "blow us away" !! Stay safe & healthy! James T 🇩🇪
You sooo get her! Just remember her message - sometimes up front, other times buried: Tolerance; Acceptance; _Self-Acceptance_ ; _Self-Improvement_ . And in a humble, self-deprecating package that reminds me of the motto of Elzie Segar's Popeye: "I yam what I yam, and tha's all what I yam". Or, as expressed on the Confidence video and poster for PassItOn.org "You be you". She's been experimenting with Logic Pro and seems to like reverb - but notice the restrained use to make the word "power" pop. And yes - definitely a Marilyn Monroe look.
We tried to let know, we gave you a warning months ago that this young artist will grab and hold in your thought, bring out the feeling that so many have tried to do and can't come close, the table has been set, no turning back, impossible to break free of this amazing poetic musical genius!! So now we just enjoy the liberations of what we are witnessing! Thanks Fable for you honest assessment of Grace!!
My first time hearing this as well... she got me, too. Gotta love her spirit, her depth, and her ability to communicate serious emotion without shoving it in your face. It feels like we're very lucky flies on the wall, listening to her when she's all alone in her private thoughts. No doubt, one of the great, evolving artists of these times. She is her own person, and definitely "enough."
Columbia Records donate her the Music Program Logic. So she is making music completely alone now. Without another producer. She is the artist, songwriter and producer. That means their is no influence by anotherone. We can her now pur Grace.
BTW, I loved the smile on your face when you realized where she was headed in the song......she really did play you ....... Best reaction so far. Thanks again.
She has dressed up as Marilyn Monroe and is the spitting' image of her. She does a great Audrey Hepburn too. Love this melody she created not to mention the words. A true GENIUS.
Great reaction Fil,she is really showing us that we were all right about her being next level. She is laying down tracks all on her own that are so ahead of the mainstream it's unreal.BTW I was wondering what your wife thinks about Grace, my girlfriend likes her but not on the level as I and doesn't seem to get why I think she's the best female singer in years. Also really like your request site
These lyrics are... Just woooooow. This is why Grace can do what she wants on her Instagram lives and why her music label sent her better equipment for quarantine. They know and she knows and they know that she knows that they know, she doesn't need them. Her label is very lenient about how much she shares right now because someone there is smart enough to realize that the label needs to bank on a continued and future business relationship with Grace. That's where the money for them will be.
If I'm not mistaking she did all of this herself in her bedroom/studio, on her laptop computer. Oh yes, during the lock down. And that chorus "power"(chills)8:32 is her voice lapped over itself about 3 times.
Uh-oh!!! Now with these Columbia tools in the hands of this uber-talented 16 yr old, no "professional" supervision...😬😬? Get ready for the emotional, mental ride of your life folks!! Love this reaction, first time hearing this song, it's amazing! Love GVW...👍
Hey Fables - you’ve definitely covered a lot of Grace’s performances - I have 2 more for you to add to this comprehensive list . Ur So Beautiful- an original (either the live acoustic performance at the Trevor Project charity (very jazzy)) or her Video (VEVO). - also Grace’s live performance of Best Friends (cover) opening for Florence and the Machines in mid 2019 (high energy and fun). Enjoy and love your passion.🙏
Garbage band? I'm not that good at faces but isn't that the band she normally works with during a performance? We never really know what someone else is going through. There could be parts of her life she doesn't like but she has to ride things out.
The bit about writing sad songs seems to relate to the song her sister accidentally leaked called Happy Songs, another one she cooked up at home and even better than this. I can't recall if you've heard it but if not it's definitely something to react to. When asked if she was going to release it formally Grace said she was just going to leave it on the cloud. My god, such a good song but for Grace it's just something tossed off one afternoon she(I'm guessing) doesn't feel is good enough. It's about producers suggesting she write happy songs people can dance to. Entirely produced using GarageBand.(because, said Grace, it's free--the girl probably has a couple of million stashed away by now but remains totally down to earth and frugal). Please check it out; great song and extraordinary producing skills.
About $2M US but by law most of that money would be in a trust and as long as her parents don't do anything stupid, she'll have a nice nest egg when she becomes an adult at 18 or 21 whichever it is for New York. She just needs to stay the course. No reason to go radical. Grace is working under the cagney act for the time being so maybe 2 more years.
if we look at music history i dont think we can find anyone at this age dropping the quality she has done, even the biggest artist we are all familiar didnt drop stuff at age 12-16 like she does, considering the fact she writes all stuff herself
@@BobbyU808 Grace is at the edge of world admiration. That simple fact brings out the resistance trying desperately to enjoin her with their own misery. Grace Vanderwaal IS a very big deal and I would give a word to the wise reactor when it comes to Grace--RESEARCH.
Yes, when I say she's the next McCartney or Simon people scoff but you always have to imagine these artists at this age; Paul writing about a girl with a curl and Paul writing Hey Schoolgirl. She is already light years beyond this.
James Smithe - People listen to Grace with their eyes rather than their ears. They see a little girl instead of hearing the music of a generational talent. But Grace’s talent is undeniable and one day they will understand.
KING POTUS omg she’s incredible! I know she writes all of her other stuff but all the stuff she’s been putting on insta recently I thought they were covers!!
@@k2chloe91 In the song "Lay Down in the Backyard" she did use an instrumental sound track that somebody else wrote for the music but she ingeniously wrote and overdubbed some lyrics that fit perfectly with the tune!
Eric House that’s amazing! I knew she was amazing and she inspires me so much but damn!! She has come so far since agt and progressed so much and something tells me she’s not gonna stop
So I guess you like it. Sometimes it's hard to tell when you're not very talkative. Really liked the breakdown and you breaking down on the twist ending.
Please Read: I have watched this reaction 3 or 4 times. I don't do that. I watch Grace's videos countless times, but reactions I enjoy for the alternate perspective, so once is usually enough. But except for Darkness, this is my favorite Grace song. It is the quintessential example of Grace the artist, the poet. You recognized this in this reaction beautifully! You are dead spot on when you say the true artist is the one who affects the the way you think or feel about something. Please, please do more Grace because you "get" her more than any other reactor! What songs you choose, or if you choose a video from the many interviews or other non-music videos, it matters not. You GET her, so what you have to say is always informative and enjoyable!
Thanks so much for this.. that means the world to me ❤️☺️ thank you for the love and support. It’s easy to get such an amazing human being like Grace.. she makes it easy to love her ❤️❤️
She is her own Finneas. Written, recorded and produced by her, in her bedroom. Sure, it may get tweaked, mixed and mastered, but not without her. It's all her.
Love that sound of "power"! Is this an answer to the snake that criticized her "sad songs"? I think she felt wounded & is still working her way thru her self-healing process of music. Hopefully she'll get really mad one day & boy-you'd-better-watch-out! "Power!" --don
I like the way she sort of builds suspense in this song, using a simple pattern that sounds like a harp. She introduces it about a third of the way through. And the chord progression is dark and gives off a Pink Floyd kind of vibe. I really hope a video comes out of this, and if Grace doesn't make one, someone else ought to because there's a "full moon in the cemetery" kind of feel to it. It has a happy ending though.
You are the most fulfilling reactor to watch, you actually listen. I think most of the reactors are burned out, there's just too much out there and by the time they get around to Grace they aren't listening any more. The last reactor we watched started talking about two occasions where Grace missed a note while moving around a stage. Most of Grace's dedicated fans became that way because they analyzed her lyrics and the nuances in her vocals. She is one of the few who built up a fan base without stunning everyone on how well she can sing old multi-million dollar hit songs that everyone loves she did it with her own songs
Ha! Already heard this incredible track. Knew what was coming and had to watch twice just to see you get played! 😂 Bit of trivia: That mic she's using was given to her on the official New York State Grace VanderWaal Day after she won AGT. There was a parade and official fuss, and one of the local hospitals who I believe she did some charity work for presented it to her, with the request she one day "Record something" using it. I'd say she did.
@@Pelodeni Maybe, but she was given one that looks exactly like it with the same mesh cover. So in light of any actual documentation to the contrary, it's the one she got the way i described above. I haven't seen any actual detailed inventory of what studio gear she was sent. [EDIT: If you look even a little bit closely yout can see it's not an MXL V69M. Hello Fable, wow, what a reaction. You really dig deep into the lyrics. English is not my mother tongue and through your reactions I become much more attentive to the lyrics. Usually for me a song is about general hearing. Voice, rhythm, melody, harmonies, instrumentation, mood, emotion etc. The content (lyrics) comes later. And in your reactions, I am told a lot about what the lyrics are really about. I really appreciate that. That makes a song much richer. Keep it up. All the best to you and a lot of Greetings from Germany.
Masterpiece yes, faults within our faults, yes, but that is what we appreciate about Grace. No one is perfect. She is not perfect, but she could still kick my ass eight ways from Sunday. And that means something coming from a Kentucky boy.
I just want to ask everyone, why nobody is pushing the others songs like Maybe it could be something and Happy Songs, For me they are really good gems and I specially beg you Fable ,doing a reaction of both songs ,they are masterpieces and very underrated.
Let's hope that when this is all over that she gets into a pro studio and works on these further. If, she still likes them. Grace is a perfectionist and throws away a lot of songs.
Great reaction again, the thing is with Grace as I've said before somewhere is that while Graces voice may not be perfect, every note spot on etc etc, in my opinion that's not what music is about, as you said music must touch the soul, make you feel and make you think, and the depth and emotion and feeling that comes across is mesmerizing, You find yourself almost holding your breath so as not to miss a single note .
Jackie Tunberg, Maybe it's better that big time fame takes its time catching up with her. When I was young I really wanted to be famous but then I looked at what that was like for the super famous like Beatles or Michael Jackson et. al... They couldn't go anywhere and just be and do normal stuff that regular folks do. In a way it almost seems like a prison!
It may be because she makes comments such as "I can shut this down any time I like" that makes record companies leery of spending the kind of money it takes to promote her like someone who's sold their souls for fame.
@@SuperPalaver Goood one! That's one thing that makes Grace unique. From what I gather from the very start she was coming at it from a whole different angle than most. Going on AGT was her mother's idea and she just said what the heck. Why not? If nothing else it might be fun just for the experience of it. She really wasn't even expecting to pass the audition let alone win the whole show. (we've all heard her words "I'm keeping my expectations really low.") In other words she wasn't really all that attached to winning or seeking fame. Like a true artist she just wanted to share her music and hope people would like it. So in that way she's kind of got the upper hand. Kind of flips on its head the industry standard where people desperate for fame and fortune are basically on their knees bowing to the big record producers and will do anything, including (as you say) selling their souls to get it. With Grace it's kind of the other way around. I'd imagine through their eyes they see her as a highly marketable "product" that could make them a lot of money. If I heard the story correctly right after she won AGT Simon approched her with a record deal and she basically told him I'm not interested.... Actually I think she was balking, thinking WTF am I getting my self into? I got the distinct impression that Simon's ego was pretty bruised that she wasn't bowing before him all starry eyed and looking up to him like a god!! LOL! Consequently they ended up basically giving her a lot more freedom to steer the ship and call the shots than most others get. You go girl!!!
It was funny and engaging to watch you take another deep dive into her lyrics, arguing with the direction they were going , then see them turn and corroborate everything you were saying. I squirm when you and others get into the apotheosis-of-Grace mode but I like a whole lot the passion you bring to your reactions about her. You are an insightful guy who takes her work seriously and there is no better compliment. I also like the way you take the time to go back a few bars here and there for another listen and further comment. She's still a kid but she's got lots of important things to say and like you, I'm all ears.
Regarding "echo" in this... she just produce this song and from some instagram live I get to conclusion she is obsessed with "reverb" effect at the moment :) she put it on everyting LOL.
@@smoaky123 it needs nothing, it's Grace's, why would any one want to add to an already great song, that is what all those writers she worked with kept doing, they ruined originality of her music.
This song is so important, especially for girls and women who are expected to behave and be good and never speak up. When we do we are called all kinds of things. We are expected to be in a supportive role and not of ourselves. This is an anti shame message. Shame drives disconnection. If she loves all her of herself no matter who thinks what or says what, then I can like all of me as well. Great song. She sings what goes on in our heads as females.
Grace actually wrote this song when she was two years old. It was originally about her goldfish Ralph, whom she planned to marry when she was old enough. Upon being told that this was impossible, Grace wrote one final song, "Darkness Keeps Chasing My Fish" (which she later reworked without the fish), then studied bricklaying until she discovered she was allergic to grout and returned to music as a saxophone tuner. This eventually led her back into singing and songwriting, but for some time her lyrics were all about flying super-hamsters with bazookas battling space robots. By the time of her AGT audition, this phase had passed save for "Beautiful Thing", which Grace claimed was about her and her sister but was actually about space robots.
Nice take on her progression to greatness. I myself have almost worn through my second pair of knee pads prostrating myself before her in reverence. It is almost as though you thought she were a human!
The bigger your heart, the tighter her grasp my friend. The Phoenix awakens and is taking flight, Do not fear for she holds your heart firmly in her grasp.and her flight will carry you safely across the four winds, and you will feel the exhilaration of her powerful ascension through the tempests and its whirlwinds of this world. And finally as she was created for, she reaches the height that Epicurus failed to attain, Taking her rightful place perched at the top of the world proclaimed in exhalation as the true spirit of music. And in finality you feel content having completed your journey. LOL The only draw back is she exclaimed to you, Sorry Fable you'll have find your own way back down :)
Okay, so this reaction is Spectacular! This is what I think: Grace did not play you. IMO the best poets since WWII are songwriters. At 16, I believe Grace is already the best ever. But poetry is a participation sport. You must engage with the poem in your brain. If you don't, you'll never get it. Music can wash over you, but lyrics that are poems need to be listened to. You engaged with her lyrics and Grace took you on a little journey. Because you were willing. My new mantra: There's no one like Grace ever. There's no one like Grace ever.......

It's amazing what you find and point out, Maunalee another reactor is an exDJ and she doesn't get into Grace's talent all that much even stating last weekend she likes Angelina better than Grace. She prefers a cover artist over a beautiful creator
Cal I am really surprised that Maunalee said anyone was better than the other. I heard her say she is new to the GraceVerse but she also said that she loves her voice, her lyrics and her style. She also finds Angelina's voice is amazing. I personally believe there are several young women that are in the same league fashion wise and vocally unique: Grace Vanderwaal, Angelina Jordan, and Aurora Aksnes. However, what is of equal surprise is if Maunalee did say Angelina was better than Grace the Fanderwaals have not yet squeezed her off the reactor network. Hated the video, I think the video is a distraction to the song.
I liked the way you said she settles issues and questions at the end of a song.
she is a true wordsmith and story teller and how she fits it all together is unimaginable to me.
Love this song , Grace loves to play with themes of light and dark , either in the same song or in contrasting songs , one thing she always does even in her dark songs like Darkness Keeps chasing me is end them on a note of hope
Seems like all her lyrics have always been about storytelling with a relatable message. Great commentary.
Great reaction, as all of your reactions to Grace have been. This song is what you get when artistic genius and teen angst meet. And as you discovered, it's an incredible message of self-acceptance and empowerment.
I think we don't have to wait nine more years to think What???
Enjoyed it!
Love how the song's melody and structure fits so well with the lyrics. Even the ending, landing on "enough," is.. well.. enough. Say no more.
I agree.. to me Grace is perfect.
A 21st Century Rembrandt. Faults is the work of a master--a masterpiece.
"I don't want to tell people in my music that the world is perfect because it's not!"
"I want to tell people that the world can be perfect because of you !!"

I believe Grace's "Apprenticeship years" are now over!
Simon Cowell and Columbia Records recognized that!
I think that's why they sent Grace a new "toy"!
It is a mixing software called
"Logic" !!
And as we can all see, Grace knows exactly how to handle it!
In my opinion, Grace is on the best way to make her own productions !!
It looks like Grace is now able to show all of her "potential" and that will very often "blow us away" !!
Stay safe & healthy! James T 🇩🇪
James, you are completely right!
@Jamil, thanks for your feedback, brother!! 🙏😁
I had already seen this video, and it was so much fun watching you squirm, and then that big smile on your face! Best reaction yet. Thanks man.
And yes - definitely a Marilyn Monroe look.
i love the experimental stuff she has been dropping lately
I absolutely love the way you actually pay attention to her lyrics and forms an intelligent opinion . Great job!(as always)
You're like me, will never have enough Grace music!!!!!!.......Grace is a masterpiece!!!!!
Yep she is very liberating James. Good choice of words.
Definetely a masterpiece!
I love this' extremely talented young lady her voice is divine thanku love an God bless x
Columbia Records donate her the Music Program Logic. So she is making music completely alone now. Without another producer. She is the artist, songwriter and producer. That means their is no influence by anotherone. We can her now pur Grace.
Fully agree Fables - Grace at home in her bedroom experimenting and playing with her sound and music- so much talent.
Grace is the message and music is her vehicle.
Thanks for reviewing this spectacular song!
LOL! I knew she had you fooled...Her album was entitled Perfectly Imperfect....and she is perfectly imperfect. Thanks..
As told you in my message, I think this is one of the best things she has done.....just masterful and beautiful
BTW, I loved the smile on your face when you realized where she was headed in the song......she really did play you ....... Best reaction so far. Thanks again.
Dude, you are a philosopher and I am here for it. It takes an awakened soul to read the depth of her lyrics. ❤️ from 🇨🇦

Yes! You are so right, alot of people need to wake up and leave the radio garbage alone, todays music is the same old same old cookie cutter crap!!!
I love watching your reactions over and over , you truly get Grace and for that I’m thankful, carry on sir.
💯💯💯💯
If I'm not mistaking she did all of this herself in her bedroom/studio, on her laptop computer. Oh yes, during the lock down. And that chorus "power"(chills)8:32 is her voice lapped over itself about 3 times.
Uh-oh!!! Now with these Columbia tools in the hands of this uber-talented 16 yr old, no "professional" supervision...😬😬? Get ready for the emotional, mental ride of your life folks!! Love this reaction, first time hearing this song, it's amazing! Love GVW...👍
That was an awesome reaction. You should expect this, it started with banana pants Grace singing “I now know my name”...
Graced reeled him in and never to escape or to be seen again! LOL!
Her label sent her some producing equipment when they realized she was writing and making songs with garage* band. Amazing.
Thanks for the correction.
Missed the word play on my first read through. Ha.
Garbage band? I'm not that good at faces but isn't that the band she normally works with during a performance? We never really know what someone else is going through. There could be parts of her life she doesn't like but she has to ride things out.

HEADS UP !!! Grace Vanderwaal is back. Singing in at the Elsewhere club in New York
@@drmayeda1930 the last time I checked at Grace's NET worth, on you T-Tube 2020, she was at $4,000.000, as of this month 4/5/2020.
Happy Songs is a fine song indeed. I was sad to hear her say she wasn’t releasing it.
Fable: "For me, Grace Vanderwaal is perfect". Perfection imperfectly perfected.
Your love of art, and life is infectious, thank you for this magical review
She is right, we have the power
if we look at music history i dont think we can find anyone at this age dropping the quality she has done, even the biggest artist we are all familiar didnt drop stuff at age 12-16 like she does, considering the fact she writes all stuff herself
Tom Bredesen - Absolutely.
Very true, and how many singers or bands have made this many good songs in their career? Let alone in just 4 years?
But Grace’s talent is undeniable and one day they will understand.
her music is just wow wow and her voice is just ...... dear lord! great song thank you my friend!

LOL, I'm here to watch it again, too.
I love your opinions on her songs.l This is why i'm still here.
You have to react her song '' Lay down in the backyard ''
Ha! Already heard this incredible track. Knew what was coming and had to watch twice just to see you get played! 😂
Bit of trivia: That mic she's using was given to her on the official New York State Grace VanderWaal Day after she won AGT. There was a parade and official fuss, and one of the local hospitals who I believe she did some charity work for presented it to her, with the request she one day "Record something" using it. I'd say she did.
Actually it is a MXL V69M mic that her label sent her just over a week ago.
The mic she's using has a tapering in the head. The V69M does not as it's almost completely cylindrical.]
@@victorvining2407 The bitch is I can't find the footage on TH-cam where she's awarded that on 10-1-2016. I'm sure I have it buried on my file server, but man I don't feel like digging. Thanks for the confirmation.
Do you happen to know where there's a list of what gear she was provided?

Hello Fable, wow, what a reaction. You really dig deep into the lyrics. English is not my mother tongue and through your reactions I become much more attentive to the lyrics. Usually for me a song is about general hearing. Voice, rhythm, melody, harmonies, instrumentation, mood, emotion etc. The content (lyrics) comes later. And in your reactions, I am told a lot about what the lyrics are really about. I really appreciate that. That makes a song much richer.
Keep it up. All the best to you and a lot of Greetings from Germany.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it - she is just so special. Thanks so much for the love and support ❤️🙏 🇩🇪 🇿🇦
Masterpiece yes, faults within our faults, yes, but that is what we appreciate about Grace. No one is perfect.
She is not perfect, but she could still kick my ass eight ways from Sunday. And that means something coming
from a Kentucky boy.
Oh ya she put this in her Instagram bio I forgot if she did but I think she played a bit of the song on her insta live
No flaw Vanderwaal. Right you are once again!
I just want to ask everyone, why nobody is pushing the others songs like Maybe it could be something and Happy Songs,
For me they are really good gems and I specially beg you Fable ,doing a reaction of both songs ,they are masterpieces and very underrated.
Yes Fable happy songs plz
Let's hope that when this is all over that she gets into a pro studio and works on these further. If, she still likes them. Grace is a perfectionist and throws away a lot of songs.
I’m right with you Sergio. A couple of my favorites too. I think a lot of us agree with you 🙂
Great reaction again, the thing is with Grace as I've said before somewhere is that while Graces voice may not be perfect, every note spot on etc etc,
in my opinion that's not what music is about, as you said music must touch the soul, make you feel and make you think, and the depth and emotion
and feeling that comes across is mesmerizing, You find yourself almost holding your breath so as not to miss a single note .
I don't understand why she isn't splashed all over the national mind with her beautiful mind and music.
It’s almost like she’s ignored. I don’t get it either.
@@AnthonyMinsky Same
It may be because she makes comments such as "I can shut this down any time I like" that makes record companies leery of spending the kind of money it takes to promote her like someone who's sold their souls for fame.
You will learn to get to the end of the song for the punchline.
Remember, Grace is not "CLAY".
Please react to Paste's interview, recording of Grace singing A Team! Tears will come!
So what you’re saying about humans is that they are ... perfectly imperfect? 😬😉
At least Grace is ;)
It was funny and engaging to watch you take another deep dive into her lyrics, arguing with the direction they were going , then see them turn and corroborate everything you were saying.
We all go through phases. Once Upon a time some of us were obsessed with more cowbell.
J Yee what does it need?? 🤔

She wont be molded because she isn't Clay
I think Grace is perfect also!
❤️❤️❤️
Nice take on her progression to greatness. I myself have almost worn through my second pair of knee pads prostrating myself before her in reverence. It is almost as though you thought she were a human!
Have you done Grace's commercial The Story of Lucy where they use her song "Beautiful Thing? It's got to be the greatest commercial of all time!
