I have the standard mantis Blackbeard I got about a year-and-a-half ago absolutely the best piece of training equipment I've ever bought. Especially to introduce new shooters to the platform i.e. your girlfriend or parents. I also love it for night-vision dry fire training.🇺🇸 It'd be awesome if they eventually did something like the MILES training system, great potential for something like that

I have the Blackbeard X and it's an awesome dry fire tool and I've found it's incredibly good for getting familiar with height over bore in CQC situations. Couple that with the ability to train counter invasion in your own home, it's one of the better skill builders on the market dollar for dollar. Thanks for the video!
I'm in the exact same boat. Every time I think about buying something like this, I just buy ammo and go actually shoot it instead. Same thing with that CO2 operated barrel for the Glock that actually moves the slide when you fire. Amazing concept but not worth a case of ammo. Stuff like this would be crazy good for gift ideas though
@@MoH_Dank I mean perhaps but $400 will get you around 1000 rounds whereas this will last much longer and provide better feedback and training for transitions and such. The big weak point is the round count drills. To be honest I think most people would be better off skipping a case of ammo and picking this up. I’m gonna give it a go
lasers aren't my field, but I know enough about them to know that the fear mongering in the 90s when home lasers was a new thing was dumb. the power is too low. now, buy a laser on ebay and I wouldn't point it at my eye.
I got mine a while back and was never able to set it up properly. I even contacted support and they refused to help. The problem being the device itself was poorly constructed and the laser was never able to be synced with my sights. Unfortunate because it could have been an amazing product.
Will using the green laser with nightvision speed up the process of damaging your tubes? I would like to buy once and be able to use it with or without might vision.

One is clearly a white light, the other looks like MAWL (which should take care of everything except white light) and the other looks like a DBAL or PEC. A pec 15 would cover the gambit. Honestly I love the Surefire Xvl2. But when a rifle weighs 5 pounds, then add a 2 pound optic with riser, then add a 15-20 oz device at 12 o'clock, a 12-15 oz device at 2 o'clock, and a 10 device at 3 o'clock then the tape switch confusion........... My God..........

I don't see how it would be too difficult to make a pad that goes on your plate carrier to count when you get hit similar to laser tag

Sweet setup for when weather or opportunity makes going to the range impractical or impossible. Especially with .300 Blackout over a $1 a round

well worth it if you use it a lot considering ammo is like $400 a case for good 5.56 (let alone using this in a 300 BLK build)

The workmanship on the Blackbeard seems poor to me.
The batterie take literally ALL Day to charge.
I charged it for four hours last night , and its been 12 hours today, and still not fully charged...
My experience as well. The quality is very poor.

No..laser won't affect NODS unless you direct the laser directly into the tube
