Great thank you! Any chance the draws will have dovetail or finger joints please?

The drawers will have regualr box joints...but I do plan to do a separate video on dovetails/fingerjoitns. For the most part, would be similar wofklow as the box joitns :)

@@PDOShapr3d Awesome thank you! I especially enjoyed learning about the replace face tool today :)

@@angieangie21 Glad to hear that! Replace Face is definitely a fun/powerful tool :)

When is extruding a face, is there a way to snap to an end point instead of always having to know the actual distance?

Snapping between bodies/edges/end points while extruding is currently not possible, but you can always refine the distance between faces with the Replace Face tool.

I find the simplest things to be so difficult with Shaper3d. Such as the dividers inside the box. With Sketchup, it would be super easy to just draw a rectangle on the back wall anywhere horizontally, extrude it out. Then draw a couple guidelines with mid points and move it with snap points. You seem to always just do then math, but that can be a problematic at times. Am I missing a command that would make this easier.

I agree. I am used to the same in Fusion 360. Extruding based on surrounding objects or entities. Unfortunately, Shapr3D is fairly new (in CAD/software development terms) and they don't support that functionality yet. I suspect it will come eventually.

In your sketch you could draw three horizontal lines head to tail in your rectangle (that is locked). Select those three lines and choose constraint horizontal and equal, and without math you have your divisions.

Just learned that there is now a new PATTERN function, kinda like the one in Sketchup.

Does anyone know how to print single pieces out as paper templates to scale? Is this possible with shapr3d?

    • @PDOShapr3d

Hi Marek. You can print the 2D drawings to scale as long as you set up the page size correctly in the settings. More on that here: support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019936899
Some folks also export the sketches as DXFs > open in a graphics program > scale or check for correct size > print from Graphics program and/or export to PDF to print.
