Additionally, I'll be testing the Alchemist GPU with XeSS 2. The latency displayed in the overlay appears incorrect and a bit exaggerated. Despite the frame time graph indicating potential stuttering, it doesn't actually feel stuttery. It seems that MSI Afterburner doesn't know how to handle the generated frames properly.
Pardons, can you test the goodies of XeSS 2 (super resolution, frame gen and low latency) on the weakest intel alchemist cards (a380 and a310)? because that would be interesting how it performs with these new Intel technologies.
Excellent video, I have a question, is it normal that my Intel arc a750 consumes 45 watts in idle, without open games? I tried to do Intel's solution (enable ASPM) to lower the watts and it doesn't work. THANKS SO MUCH
Go to pcie power option and select maximum power saving also if you have High refresh rate monitor then lower the refresh rate to 60Hz when you're not gaming. I think that'll do the work.
please test this with arc 750🥰and can you compare xess vs xess2 quality mode...because xess q doesnt improve fps a lot like dlss does so i wonder if xess 2 will give more fps than xess
Please make benchmark for Ryzen 7 7700 vs 7700x vs 7800x3D on B580. People are saying that you need 7800x3D in order to achieve max speed of B580. I am planning to go for either Ryzen 7 7700x or Ryzen 9 7950x.
Hello it is suggested if possible to test the B580 with older CPUs since budget gamers are mostly in view of this card and also cpus like i3-12,13 and Ryzen 5 3600, 5500 it you can test and post here
Ok, I tried it... GPU: Intel Arc B580 Challenger ASRock CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3d (you may get a bit better results with a newer CPU like 7800x3d, but i guess 5% max) RAM: 64GB 2400MHz DDR4 (my PC crashes when i set it to deafult 3200MHz, but if you have less RAM and higher clocking, it should be pretty much the same) XeSS Sharpening set to 90 Settings: 4K Ultra preset, XeSS set to Ultra Quality, Frame Generation: XeSS Awful stuttery feeling, 30-50fps Dropping XeSS to Quality saw an increase in fps to 40-60fps When I adjusted the settings of Global Illumination to SSGI and Reflection Quality to "Screen Space Reflections", I achieved pretty stable 50-60fps with little feeling of delay, XeSS set to Ultra Quality Plus So, when adjusting the settings even more, you can even achieve 60+fps at native 4K, but my final settings were Ultra Preset with Illumination & Reflections set to "OFF" and XeSS set to "Ultra Quality", which made me achieve 70-80fps with very occasional drops to 40
@ Thank you! I have Ryzen 5 7500F, which people say should be decent for this card. Modern cores do their work. Also, 32GB of 6000MHz@CL30 RAM. I wonder what those presets do behind the scene. Ultra Quality is probably upscaling from 2K? I guess I’d try upscaling from FullHD, which should be decent still. That’s a good result overall though! Thank you!
No. Its paradox but you actually need a really fast CPU like the 7800X3D to fully utilize the B580. I think Hardware Unboxed did a video about this topic.
NOPE. Thats what i have, Building a new system with ryzen 7 9700x to pair to pair with the b580. I think this card has alot of power to unlock once the drivers get fleshed out.

For 1440p and 4k no need a super powerful cpu but i dont recommend for 1080p performance not changing that much regardless of resolution

not sure how much u know about gpus but do u think this or an rtx 2070 would have a better performance 1440p gaming?
The 2070 is about the same as a 3060 and B580 about the same as a 4060, for 1440p that 12GB of the B580 will come in handy
What overlay are you using, Marvel Rivals crashes 100% of the time for me when I open afterburner
Yes you need to close it before launching the game or it will crash.
Alternatively use PresentMon

does XeSS FG only work on intel arc? can we use it on AMD or older nvidia?
Only intel arc. It uses Arc's AI accelerator.

If using the 9800X3D is 10% better than the 4060, switching to the 5600 would make it only 1-2% better. That's roughly the difference.
