- It’s hard to imagine a sneaker more iconic than the Air Jordan. Today, retro Jordans of all types and colors sell out instantly on Nike’s SNKRS app and in stores across the country. In May 2020 a pair of original Jordan 1s that Michael Jordan wore on the court sold for $560,000 at auction.
Jordan the brand has mastered the art of weaving nostalgia into current trends through hyped-up collaborations with fashion designers and artists like Travis Scott. Here’s how the brand built a diehard following, on its way to becoming a $3.6B empire.

Great video. I'm a fan of nightwing2303's channel and I'm happy to see that he was featured in this video. I used to be a big sneakerhead when I was in my teens, not so much as I've gotten older (realized I don't need that many shoes!). I still have a small collection of favorites that I wear. It's a fun and addictive hobby and I still keep tabs on what's going on in the industry.
I'm not a sneakerhead, but I can appreciate a brand that takes succeeds like this, well-made video!
If you talk about succeeding by hiring asian sweatshop workers at a pay of 0.25 per hour and them dying every day then that is amazing success that people love such a horrible and evil company!

After watching it I watched the AIR movie and all documentary of Jordan available on TH-cam, then watched his Gameplays and now I am completely in love with that Man, the NBA culture and what this all stands for. The sneaker game has become the hoarder game. From TH-cam to the Nike feed it's about what you got. Videos showing how may sneakers in your collection, like collecting art. The resale market created is a whole different animal. Whats more amazing is, this is 35 yr old bubble with no end in sight, Nike could pop it by releasing more kicks BUT that never going to happen. It creates a desire to cop, the new high is hitting on a draw.

The kicks are nice, but seriously I could never spend that much money on them, nor do I have the time to try to "win" a chance to buy a pair. The good thing is, if you work hard enough in life, eventually you'll be gifted with these. Now that's a much better goal to work towards to, rather than to chase after the hottest items when you still have a ton of student loans still yet to pay off.
