Good morning Terry, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🧄🧄🧄walking onions 🌰 sound so cool. And the garlic is beautiful. Thanks for the tip on staking my potato 🥔. After my video I added more worm Castings and water and they stood up tall. I added a couple bamboo sticks, gently, to the soil. I hope you and Mrs.K are enjoying July ❤ Bloody Hot 🔥 here! ❤Peggy❤
I'm getting a sense of your UK weather from watching a bit of Wimbledon this week, Terry. Landon and I enjoy leeks year round. When they start to go to seed, I make a lovely leek, cauliflower and lemon soup. ~ Sandra
Wow they are very cool, like little spiders. A wonderful harvest of allium varieties. No high winds here but extreme heat for sure as it’s meant to hit mid 30’s here and the “interior region” could get to 40+ 🥵🥵. Quick it’s the ice cream man 😂. A wonderful update, hope Mrs K is better today and every day ❤, Ali 🌞🥵🇨🇦
Good crop Terry. Rust is such a pain. I got 1 elephant garlic, which I am drying to be replanted in October. The other garlic got rust and just one bulb. Oh well. Hope Mrs K is Ok? Take care Mel
@GordonjSmith1 I will be doing a video at the weekend actually on find a space and plant it......😁 just to finish off a trying season with everything that's going on.
Fascinating! If I grew walking onions, they'd probably find the nearest pests to eat them 😢 Are they ok even though the scapes were big? Winds picking up here tonight Terry. Set for rain too 🙄 Enjoy the rest of your week, love to Mrs K ❤ Rach 😁💚🧅
@ericandrachallotmenteers thank you Eric and Rach, a good harvest of new walking onions and the bulbs to pickle, the weather has be awful, but better than some at the moment with the heat and winds.
@mandamoosgardeningadventur8305 very similar and I have plenty to do a jar of pickled onions. Thank you Mrs K is laughing tonight, must pull my pants back up......😊🤣🥔🥒🥔
I'm not going to say I have unsubscribed to several boring channels. I have I'm just not going to sat it. 🙄Best wishes to Ms. Sandra. Oh to you too. 💖💖😁
Hi Terry. I'm interested to know how you plant your bulbils from the onion/garlic. I kept mine from some elephant garlic last year. Put some in a seed tray, and dried the others before planting them as "sets". Neither group grew!!! Is there a secret?? Thx, Helen x
Hi Terry. You got a good return, despite it looking bleak to begin with. Round garlic eh? Can't you use it? Looks a good size. If you slung them back in, would you get even bigger bulbs? Your walking onions are really strange plants but this year has been whacky. My plot neighbour has got great onions on the go. Mine, not so. Hey ho. I know what you mean by people boring away. I especially run from someone who yaks for 50 mins nonstop, lol. You'll never get that life time back lol. Elaine 🌱 😂
@allotmentjoy I love to watch and listen to people, but I do like to see something useful and my time is limited to one hour in a morning on youtube so I vist when I can to my favourites 😉
Those peas look so tasty. I can't really count on doing much as we heat up too fast here. I did enjoy my Tom Thumbs. I have way too much celery again this year, but I'm going to make my cream of celery soup to freeze earlier. Do you do any bush beans and what variety is your favorite?
Just wondering - would the new bulbils on the mini triffids be less susceptible to the rust or it's just dependent on the weather? As long as you can get enough to use, then it is all good - some really nice-looking garlic there. LOL! Nice radish for Mrs K! I remember radishes being rather hot and spicy, but the ones I've grown are crunchy but no heat. I miss those! Cheers Terry
How do you know if your crops have got white rot? I pulled some garlic a while ago and was unsure but it’s dried ok but I pulled some today that I didn’t realise I’d planted in a separate area and it’s absolutely fabulous. My first lot was quite small and it looked a bit iffy but I’m not sure as I’ve never grown it before.
@Landroverguru4 it was sent to me by a fellow creator and if you buy me a coffee, link is in the discription I will send you some to try. sanandtezbezy@gmail.com with your address as long as you're in the UK.

@NanasWorms going to try and grow leeks for next season Sandra and hopefully don't attract the allium leaf miner.

Nice spread of produce, and I always like the way you find a corner to fill up with another planting. My thoughts to Mrs K!

@helenkeough4187 never did any good with the bulbils so now don't bother Helen, just use the cloves from the mother.

@RobinGardens my favourite Bush beans are pongo's and they will soon be producing.
The onions did well considering how wet and miserable the winter and spring has been.
@ibrstellar1080 I was worried around Christmas time, but they still found away to reproduce, nature always finds away.

@Tea_and_thyme_2012 there will be hardly any roots and the bottom of the bulb will be soft and white fungus will be seen.
