    Tulloch was an outstanding champion. Without doubt one of the world's great champion racehorses and an all time great

    Just a magnificent horse. Pure and simple. Should've run in the cup. Would've given them windburn!!!!!!!!

    He was an out and out champion who was cruelly robbed of his 4yo & most of his 5yo season, quite possibly his best years. He may have been the best 3yo to ever race anywhere. The 2nd best horse to ever race in Australia

      "An out and out Champion" ?? How would you know Mr Fastnet70. In five years, every horse you ever mentioned lost. They (your tips)were so bad that you even resorted to writing them "in code" then stating that they had won. One day you wrote that Almandin had "no chance" after tipping seven different losing selections in the same Melbourne Cup the evening before the race. Now is that true or not ??The term "out and out stayer" is used for a racehorse that has never ending stamina but it is also used for a racehorse that is "complete" or regarded as so. Certainly not Tulloch. He has more defeats on his record than Frankel has wins. Give up man !!

      postcardterry - Agh Postcardterry still professing to be the “One and Only You Tube Equine Expert”. Don’t know where you get all your Racing History/Data from, but after seeing many of your inaccuracies on various threads on here, I would Strongly urge you, to Research thoroughly before commenting Absolute Rubbish. I’m getting my Pay TV Comedy subscription cancelled tomorrow, as all I have to do now, is search these threads until I see you correcting others with Unfounded BS, at the same time Affording me all the Laughs I could ever need.

      AnotherFastnet70 - Yes Correct, a very Apt description of a True Legend Of The Turf. Only out of the Placings once in 53 starts. Phenomenal effort by anyone’s standards. Had as many Placings as postcardterry had WRONG UNFOUNDED REPORTINGS. Guess, we just can’t help Stupidity sometimes, Thank God for You Tube Equine Experts like him I suppose.

      @@postcardterry sorry Tulloch was the best in my mind. He was 20 years before my birth. He would kill today’s horses. The weights were crazy. Only phar lap could be in the same breath.

  • @leedelaney70
    @leedelaney70 12 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That's probably fair comment JPD. I like to say Phar Lap is Australia's greatest older horse and Tulloch is Australia's greatest 3yo and quite possibly the world's greatest 3yo. Another mighty accomplishment that goes relatively unmentioned is the day he beat the great Todman over 7f as a 2yo. Todman was considered the "Black Caviar" of his day, a super sprinter yet Tulloch managed to beat him. (he also ran 2nd to Todman at his next start after dropping down to 6f)

      You would not know AnotherFastnet70. In five years of bullshit, you have failed to give one single winning tip. Why don`t you upload your long "speech" on the eve of the 2016 Melbourne Cup when you stated on youtube "Almandin has no chance" and then went on to name the seven (seven !!) that would dominate the race. Well you did get the fifth horse correct. Your only support came from Bob Gardiner, also known as B.Gardiner and B.Gardiner2000 who strangely makes the same spelling and grammatical mistakes as guess who ???? Only Mr AnotherFastnet70. You know nothing of Tulloch because you are an imbecile !

      Kevin Balsdon - Absolutely Correct Kevin. Carried 10st 5oz (66kg) to win the 1890 Melbourne Cup. There were 39 starters that day, and he won by a big margin, with the 2nd placegetter carrying 42kg. An imposing type back in the day. Personally I rate him as the best Pound for Pound that ever raced.

    Tulloch without doubt the greatest horse I have seen in my life time....there have been some champion sprinters and some champion stayers,,,but for over distances from 6 furlongs to 2 miles,,in my opinion, there is no other horse that comes close...

    There is no doubt that Phar Lap was a great champion ,but so was Tullock a great champion..What might Tullock have achieved if he had not lost his four and five year old seasons. What would their earnings be in todays dollars. When you say Phar Lap you should in the same breath say Tullock..Then look up Gloamings record.

  • @postcardterry

    Actually, that is all they can afford (sprinters). The winner on Saturday (at Ascot) is American via English horses before that and the other Oz trained horse(which came penultimate last ??) is by a sire who was trained at Newmarket, Suffolk, England and his maternal sire was trained at Kingsclere in southern England. You are grasping at straws mate ! Rather than "big up" the Oz horse, why not try explaining Ireland`s one, two, three in the last Melbourne Cup. Or........ you could write a book about Oz`s Breeders Cup winners. Trouble is it would be the smallest book in the world - there aren`t any !

    When Ireland can send a hurdler half way round the world and beat all the Oz "wood" in their most famous race, then do it again the following year, you really have to question just how good Oz racehorses really are. The Melbourne Cup is very easy pickings for Europe.

    • @gregorykillen4564

      postcardterry that's because it's a handicap over 3200m mate. Remember some Aus horses have gone overseas and either won on the track or been quite good at stud. Question the calibre of aus horses at your peril mate.

    • @postcardterry
      @postcardterry 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don`t question the Oz horse as their origin is all English Thoroughbred anyway. Winx is by a Derby winner and Black Caviar has a ton of Derby winners in her pedigree including mighty Hyperion a more than half a dozen times. I do question the Oz horse on the track because one winner abroad((in Hong Kong) in two years is laughable. The UK had 119 in the same period. Wake up and smell the coffee mate ! Your first sentence makes no sense whatsoever. What has the distance of the race got to do with Oz horses and their pathetic record ?? Two miles is a routine distance in the epicentre and plenty of Melbourne Cup winners have been purchased with the sole aim of that one race at Flemington. There is virtually no stamina requirement at Flemington because it is a flat artificial turning track. You really need to specialise in one sport Gregory because you have no idea what you are talking about. Don`t be offended by that advice from an old man, heed it ! I have one Oz jerk on this site claiming that Oz`s record at the Commonwealth Games is proof of their sporting prowess. Oz used to be respected in sport, not now.

      postcardterry - Another Waffling Load Of BS coming from your mouth fool. You are aware Black Caviar (SPRINTER for the IQ challenged like yourself), as well as Sir Dapper (Golden Slipper Winner), just like Vain, were all Sprinters? Why are you Banging on about Derby winners Blah, Blah, Blah? You do know what distance Derby’s are run over don’t you? Oh I’m sure you do, like you profess to know everything else about thoroughbreds, breeding, etc. I’m guessing you get on these threads, bcoz you don’t have friends, am I getting warm? Somewhere Deep, Deep, Deep, in the Amazonian rainforest, is a 150 year old tree, struggling for its everyday survival through a lack of oxygen, Do us all a favour “ Try Hard Googler Extrordinaire”, And let that Tree live.

      Stop Go - Yes Agreed! On the Few occasions I’ve ventured onto some of these Threads, I am Quite Familiar with this Postcard Terry character. And more often than not, if I don’t know Statistics and Progeny, On a little Researching I have found his Information/Knowledge to be Off The Mark, to say the least. But what do they say - “Don’t ever let the Truth get in the way of a Good Story”. Next thing we know, he’ll be Dissing Out Carbine as a Hack, as European Horses Of the Day we’re Far Superior in every Aspect. 🤭😴😴🤣🤣
