Congratulations on the move. I encourage you to reconsider the donation model and create a more sustainable investment model for diasporans. Our family just invested in the Migrating Culture Crossing sustainable community in Ghana because a significant cash amount can be entrusted to their business, and we can own and transfer that to our children. We were in Tz last year and loved it, and one son just returned from Kenya - so the east is definitely an option for repatriating. But....counting on donations "because we've been treated badly" is a lovely sentiment, but not a good case for raising the kind of resources you'll need to create a viable community. Real estate crowd funding is a good option to consider, so please be about the business of sustaining your effort. What the brothers have done at MCC can be replicated and we'd consider investing in your efforts as well. Love TZ! Good luck!

foreigners cannot buy land in Tanzania except they own a business and the land is bought attached to the business.

@@gilmax3907 the price of land varries according to the location but you can get a hector of land for as little as 2000 USD , if it's in the main land like in Dar es salaam, you can't buy but you can get a land lease for 50 to 99 years of ownership. But that's more than enough time for anyone who is serious to get their citizenship in order so they can own the land permanently as a citizen.

I'm happy to see your dream but no there is people on their way to Tanzania we are putting our money together to get out tractors to be able to build Wells we're bringing machines in that will be building bricks we're bringing you seeds two plants is just a lot of us were professionals retirements we have homes we have to sell off first some of us is working with a realtor in Zanzibar when we step foot off that plane we won't be playing we just have to liquidate properties in United States we have tried to contact you a couple times you did not return any answer again I wish you the best but things here are getting very tight on us we don't want to put burdens on our people once we leave
