The Copenhagen Major was set to be the most important Counter-Strike tournament ever.
Legends, new and old, would battle it out to be Counter-Strike 2’s first kings.
And yet, it was the team that no one believed in who stole the crown.

Hey everyone, we really poured our hearts and souls into this one, let us know if you like docs like this!
So, what do you think? Was the first CS2 major hype? Or were you cheering for a different team to win?
This was another banger, yet I have ONE gripe with it. Can we please stop the narrative that S1mple is still the best player in the world?
I say this as a fan of his. He was the undisputed GOAT of CS:GO but this is a brand new game that he has refused to play from the start. S1mple will always be cemented in history as the best to ever touch Global Offensive, but we need new plotlines to unfold here, new heroes of a brand new game. I know you guys will deliver no matter who the protagonist of the story is. The First CS2 major was incredible on all fronts. Great work as always.
This was fantastic! Keep making them
it was nice, but it was missing the other teams that made playoffs, make it like you made it for paris major, it was much better, so for this one (which looks like navi glazing) i give thumbs down, it is indeed a downgrade from last major's video
@@alwaysfknsleepy yeah and last six months when s1mple played, he clearly was not himself. Maybe the war on Ukraine was on his mind so he could not give his best for cs
Aleksib, kicked off so many teams for “not performing” then becoming cs2’s first major winner is the biggest flex
It was literally a fluke run😂
@@illusive7883 win as a fluke a major please and then u can write, if you are saying that luck isn't a part of the game u are lying

@@illusive7883 and? you can win and have bad days, lol, they didnt do any bootcamp from major, do uk what this mean?

Personally, I’m most interested in who did all of the work behind the scenes to convince the investors that this roster + coach were worth risking investing in. Their foresight’s incredible.
I feel like Blade makes most important decisions in everything that has to do with cs roster, and org just trusts him, cause other people in Navi are his past teammates from 1.6, so... we can probably say that's his accomplishment and yeah formidable foresight.
Blade is just one of the best if not the best coach in the whole of cs... So yea it wasnt that suprising to me.
there's an analyst who works for them, most probably him, every time i watch navi videos, they refer to him as a genius and the brains behind a lot of aspects in game. Not sure if he is responsible for getting these players together but it wouldn't be so farfetched to think that
can we get a documentary about Dimitri Pascaluta please? the dude really makes me emotional with every video of these kind that he makes
Bro makes me cry on documentaries 💀
no one had navi winning this major, crazy underdog story and jL mvp performance
such a wholesome run from such a determined and deserving group
jL the goat
Playing ez teams, a sleeping faze clan hell nah
Check my pickems, I had them winning
CS is something else man make you feel so many things
Cs esports in like 2014 or 2015 made me understand how excited people get over normal sports and their fav players
@@CrypticBore true true
The narration was so good, deserves an award on it's own
And I’m just a person who doesn’t play the game anymore! In my yearly 20’s yeah, but not now!(42 now 😂) But love to watch, these incredible moments, matches, sometimes podcast and lobby’s interviews, analysis, caster’s thoughts… they’re so cool, so funny and entertaining, sometimes give me chills, sometimes give me emotional and little crying, but overall giving me enjoy! Keep doing this documentary movies, they’re so powerful to watch! ❤ 10/10 for this one for sure 👌
Let’s go AlexsiB, finally got what he’s been chasing. I feel bad for him rebuilding teams taking them up the ranks and then getting dropped. I feel he’s always been an amazing IGL just never been given the chance long enough to get the win.
@theScoreesports the one and only; the best; gaming documentary channel, ever. I always gets teary-eyed whenever its cs related. CS will always be a part of me even thought I haven't played for years now because of "adulting" but someday I will make sure to queue up again before I leave this mortal world.
been playing this game for 20 years, blows mind my how far we've come
I often think about how I used to play 1.6 in LAN cafes when I was 9 and now it's this global esport that I make content about for a living
it's crazy
same guys, same. absolutely blows my mind every single year
Lets keep this going boys! From cafes to CS2...
Releasing it at the height of everyone calling the run a fluke due to no success after is crazy💀💀
Fluke isnt a thing, they where better that day. Just shit now😁
Nah they were luckier honestly, that's ehy it was the fluke. They have been shit before, they have been shit after. It was just their opponents that have crumbled. iM and Aleksi are just not ellite role players, both are like Gamer Ligion lvl players. NaVi will never win anything with this line up.
@@fedjavuckovic5920 they already have lmao😭😭😭

I love launders but if he continues like that I will block him. We already have 2iq analysts like yanko, maui and others, we don't need more donk fans (you know the type, malding bettor hating everything). launders please stop with idiocracy.
Because I commented before regarding bad ads (Kraken Rum):
The ads in this video were really good. They are positioned at natural breaks of the story flow, compact (i.e. one segment), the topics are related to the channel and are not morally reprehensible.
If ads like these allow you to produce such great content, I'll gladly have 2-3 of them in such videos in the future.
You guys came a long way, this was great. Keep it up!
Great production. Im glad they invited you. Keep up the good work guys.
"He's going to the grand finals, and you're not!" - Ohne to G2
I'm so grateful that I was able to experience the major live in Copenhagen and apparently got the best moments that Cs won't forget in the next few years
I had a blast to watch that Games damn
This is awesome. Thank you TheScore!
Released this after they got eliminated by a disbanded Heroic lmao
Nicodoz>
Oh no, they lost two matches. Classic hltv rat
That was a great video. Thank you!
This was a pretty cool insight into CS2 esports.
I'd like to hear what @theScore esports take on the roster shifts for TSM in the ALGS.
Okay... How about Dmitri Pascaluta documentary as a Score eSports employee coz bro has this power to bring a video to life
Navi are such a roller coaster team to support. They win a major then fail to make playoffs in Dallas. You're breaking my heart guys.
They didn't do any bootcamp from the major, Blad3 told that they can do bootcamp only from july, so even in london they will not play good. They won the major and then didnt had any motivation left, and i think being a winner and have so many people telling to you that u didnt deserved to win, ur work its nothing, even ESL staff saying on tournaments that they are major winner flukes are getting to them, they are mostly sad and depressed when they are playing, for some of them this situation can transform into fully hating CS and to stop playing it. People are too toxic nowdays
@@Kiburici wow that is so depressing.
@@GeorgioSubs bullying can cause mental damage and mental health its not a joke and need to be taken seriously, that’s how Reckful life ended, he was bullied to d3/ath even by his own viewers
@@Kiburici I think they can have a resurgence after player break. As a team, they have more pressure on themselves after winning major than during major final. You can see how different everyone is. Blad3 is the only one unaffected. Just look at how they react to things in game. AleskiB has no energy. JL who used to bring in good vibes and cheer everyone up tilts every other round like never before. W0nderful suddently can't hit awp shots and is also tilting like crazy. At least b1t looks like he is coping with it better, because he has already won a major before. iM is the only one who improved. While happy about winning the major, he still has some hunger to be a good player on the team. I remember his lurks on T side mirage mid, just dying alone with no impact, very predictable. Now he topfragged against heroic in T side Mirage with good aim, and aggression. He also seems in a good mood, unlike the rest of Navi. I hope they make Cologne playoffs at least.
1:52 I love Aleksi's smile, he knows they are Major winner xD
It's something crazy. I've watched the other similar vids about LoL or Seige, even though I've never followed the esports or communities. Yet, to have been a NaVi CS fan for 7 years and seeing a vid on a moment I watched the storyline build up for for years...just wild.
Great piece !!
my man iM didn't even get mention :(
Yeah they did my boy dirty, but to be fair, didn’t he played like crap during this tournament?
Wonderful video, great job
shoutout to the video editor for the masked motion tracked text
I hope you do one for AK. That pop-off was incredible

It wasn't, but we'll take the kudos anyway! 😀

I got all of my pick ems correct for the playoffs of the major, execpt for one which was when vitality lost
this navi team gives off og dota vibes idk why. maybe it's because aleksi reminds me of notail a bit
Respect for Biskela
Fluke or Not at the end of the day this 5 are Major winners.

Love the IGL love in the comments! most interesting part of the pro game for me
And most importantly B1ad3 got another picture to post on his insta 😂🏆
No PashaBiceps with the trophy scene is a War Crime
Nvm
godlike
cant wait to watch the clip about how fluked the first cs2 major kings were
Why is ropz in the crowd in 12:50😂😂
karrigan with the 1/15
damn the quality of this channel has dropped so much ....
no matter what navi does in the future of cs2, no one can take this away from them. first cs2 major champions
At that time, yeah GGWP to Navi and Aleksi but based on their current form and results, that Major feels like a fluke and if somehow in different timeline Navi with their current form had Faze's playoff bracket, they legit had no chance winning that Major
Navi since dendi days!
seems like esports lives in the past xD
Really sad to see they bombed out of IEM though.
it would have been nice to include something about the entire team not just 1 or 2 players.
some players got more coverage than others, but all did besides im.
Aleksib looks like Notail. S1mple left NAVI just like Fly left OG. Everyone doubted OG could win The International, but they did it, just like NAVI did in this major.
Remember, folks: "When all odds, all statistics, and all mouths around you say you have no chance, the fire inside you burns even brighter." - Underdog Mentality
simple didnt left navi, he was benched
bro wheres the coverage for AKs victory on combo breaker 2024?
so proud of xQc
Bubzkji is an analyst now?
Has been for a bit now
Navi finally can take revenge againts FaZe
I think Aleksib is the n0tail of CS 😍
They are not the "kings" of CS2, they just fluked a major. It happened a lot of times in CS:GO too, that a dark horse team wins the major but then never wins any tournament ever again.
such a shame the finals was best of 3 valve WHYYYY
Hundreds of teams try to even make it to play in major and its always the best of the best that make it there. There is no flukes that will make it to major playoffs.
Navi winning the major and calling it fluke is craaaaazy! 😃
i mean they couldnt even qualify for iem dallas
@@spencerdaugherty311 Major > IEM Dallas no one will remember who won iem dallas in the next 5 years
The fact many feels that it's a fluke major, tells you the truth about it lol
you call 1024 bb cursed? look at his setup 12:25
Left handed issues
Video felt like they got lazy editing in the finals stage and just put together a bunch of clips without highlighting anything.
I sort of wish the video didn’t start off declaring who won the tournament.
Quality content
NAVI was in their best form at the best time, you can say what you want about before and after but, the definition of fluke would be if something outside of their control affected the game, which didnt happen. They beat every team that mattered. And they will again.
better to be called Fluked
For every single hater i ask you this: Where is your CS2 team? Where is your "fluke" run? Where is your Major Title?
You expect from a team that won a title to win always. On some stages, on some sports, on some domains that might be true, but not on CS2. There is always a tournament, a fluke or an era, but they always come to an end. Stop hating and enjoy the game more because we are priviledged to watch this "machines" perform for our entertaining.
S1mple would be proud asf
I hate faze so happy navi put them down a notch. And im so happy for aleksib tbh.
oooo posted 7 min ago! A first for me to see it so early!
truesight cs2
When NaVi wins another TI itll be like a culture cleanse
Navi winning the Copenhagen major is the 2nd biggest fluke in cs major history after Cloud9 2018 fluke major win.
Both against Faze
cloud9 was no fluke, they faced the best teams in the world and beat the favourites lmao. Average Faze fan right here still malding.
@@edyslavico3761 It was a fluke because they fell off right after, half the team switched to valorant
@nishantnayak3792 Outsiders huh????? you forgot about that they won the major and they fell off immediately lmao but at the end of the day a Major win is a major win a lot of veterans didn't even won a major so stfu
Those ad integrations felt so out of place... I'm invested in the story, listening to the narrator and bam "go by this keyboard"... Really ruins the mood of the video
I comment to help statistics
Nice documentary!
You guys really need to stop riding s1mple though. He is the CSGO Goat but even at the end of that game he was not in the top 5. He didn't show anything in CS2. Obviously massive respect to the guy and I hope he comes back strong but you can't just refer to him as the best player in the world because at the time of the major he absolutely was not.
in spanish?
Where AK tekken 8 video?
no one scored 16... doesn't mean anything to me
Vitality was the most fluke major
Same channe disrespected Alexsib
valve hasnt given navi their in game trophies yet because even they know this shit is a fluke
gotta give it up for karrigan, he was the real MVP
Simple could have been a bigger fucking legend than he is but he never got his temper or self under control. Even with his country buckling down to fight against Russia and do what they need to win he couldn't set his own fuckign ego aside. Who cares that he's the greatest individual CS player of all time... CS isn't an individual sport. He should only be remembered for his failure to work with anyone.
did s1mple bully u or somethin
He did bully him
"Why you bully me? Everyone Asking!"
"ONLY be remembered for his failure to work with anyone". How many majors and Grand Slams did you win?
well that ego was the source of his power thats why in csgo he is the number 1 and no one else, but alas it grew on him now and he is drunk from it but you cant really blame him.
Rip to those who didnt see the rigged tournament
Fluke Major
They literally beat some of the best teams in the world, keep malding
@@hails2991 where are they now?
@@tristan_mp Playing CS im assuming, idk I don't have a camera in their house
@@tristan_mp hope Niko and M0nesy can fluke a major too though
and then they lose to heroic
To always say aleksib is the problem is such a bs thing to say. when many who played with him said he was crucial to the team, not the community saying he is the problem. sad to see.
Fluke major like cloud9 got lucky that's all I don't count them as major winer
Win more trophy then we talk
At the end of the day a major win is a major win bozo. You forgot outsiders? They won the major and they vanish immediately LMAO
Not a navi hater but they run in major had so many luck factors
Navi vs eternal fine so many lucky rounds even tho ef was better
Navi vs g2 still lucky win especially round 19
They only played good againts faze on inferno
What you described is literally Counter Strike. There are many, many lucky moments/incredible moments due to timing or hitting unreal shots.
It was obvious that NaVi gonna take down EF.
G2 vs NaVi could have gone either way so could have FaZe vs NaVi. It's about moments of brilliance and handling the pressure. And taking down G2 + FaZe in the playoffs can't be called lucky...
that’s the point of a tournament, defeating one team at a time. you can’t choose your enemies and definitely not how they misplay for your own advantage. navi and especially aleksib deserved the major
@@mindofmxz
I agree with you about your opponents missplay and luck factor to some extend and I'm happy for aleksi winning affter all the wrong doing to him but they really weren't the better team and didn't deserve it that's why people called them fluke major winners they win didn't feel earned or their performance wasn't nowhere near a major winner
Sorry for may bad english
@@kainz4935 Well you are right to some extend. NaVi are not the world number 1 but right at the major playoffs they were most likely, or at least top 3. Right now they don't find the same groove and have many miscommunications.
Fluke
why this mf saying munnesy
Too bad the game is riddled with cheaters 😢
