This is why Pearl is well known for her innate kindness. If I were to experience it myself, I might have daydreams of her. And of course, our ever-lovely Marina. Shocked by the realization Pearl also counts her as family, she gets flustered, just like how Pearl was a bit red too.

Definitely feels like better Off the Hook representation as most of what they do in the morning during the rotation is talk to one another and I doubt they use a script cuz it never sounds like it. This is exactly that: just a pure, natural interaction between the two during the Splatfest announcement. Also we were so damn close to getting both on one Splatfest team and they probably would’ve both joined Team Family if they didn’t need to each join different teams as part of their jobs
Y'know the Squid Sisters almost joined the same team on more than one occasion, but there was always a way to get them on opposite sides
i miss the nostalgia with the squid sisters
Family or Friends is one of the hardest choices not just in Splatoon, but also in real life.

I can see why marina would choose team friends (at first) according to splatoon 2 DLC lore she was originally an elite octoling under octavio who built the most recent gadgets we see around and thinking like that all of her family is... kinda only soldiers... so... hard to celebrate
