- Over the past weeks, multiple SMITE TH-camrs have decided to call the quits and leave Smite behind completely. Some of them are focusing on IRL, others are trying out new types of content. Today, we're talking about their reasons for quitting or wanting major change. The people talked about Mythymoo, being the first one to quite Smite, Brutalposeidon from BrutalMaglliniTime, Punkduck and SoloDoubleJ. I also briefly mention Mast, but it's unclear if he quit permanently or will return eventually.

Your all i have left duke I hope hi rez doesn't do something dumb to you
Let’s see how long this lasts, youtubers/streamers constantly say their leaving SMITE only to return a few months later.
yt's auto subtitle is shit! A disgrace to his lovely voice
Damn thats messed up, eventually they might get you too and force you to quit
All punkduck jokes aside it's really sad to see content creators leave smite. Especially if its under the circumstances that myth and punk went through with hirez. It's just so frustrating to see your favorite game ruined for other people largely because of THE COMPANY THAT MAKES IT. I can handle poor balance changes or lack of certain bug fixes but that kind of mismanagement on a personal level like that is just awful and embarrassing. But anywho best of luck to them and everyone's channels
Its not like punk duck was really a smite content creator anyway though. He very rarely even made videos for smite. All that's changing is that it's going from making a smite video every once in a while to making them never.
@@ickyfist he was doing their patch show on a regular basis and was one of the biggest draws to the game because of his content. His every 6month "How To [Insert God]" vid isn't the only thing he did, you know that right?
@@ickyfist bullshit most of his videos was smite related and most of his fans was smite watchers he literally ran show base on smite and another show on hi rez other games most of his collabs was smite only time he did anything pitside of smite was other games sandwich between O H smite content even then he still should not have been treated like that having his pay givrn to him after months be blame for shit that their team caused
@@jjgarcia156 Yeah I know that. We are talking about his youtube channel though, obviously...
@@ickyfist So you're saying that justifies the way Punk Duck was treated? Lol
The community is only made worse with Hirez pissing everyone off on every chance they get
Nah i think the community complaining alot, also effects how hirez manages things. People would exaggerate their complaints, and the solution would in result be exaggerated. Everyones equally responsible, people are responsible for being offended, and hirez are responsible for being offensive. Both are playing a part in the choices made.
Cool Jumpa... you are literally apart of the problem. People are complaining because Hi-rez DOESN'T WANT TO FIX ANY OF THE ISSUES or any of the toxic people.
@@bigboss2174 lol how am i part of the problem, if you dont even know the full context of what i mean? And you're clearly a snowflake with a big ego. Your names big boss and you're typing in caps, so you're part of your own problem that u just made up in your head.
@@bigboss2174 and yes they do ban toxic people, cos ive seen people who are toxic get banned for months. So you're making up accusations lol and clearly you're angry which is also toxic itself. I can sense that you argue alot in smite. Making accusations is toxic, being one sided is toxic, having a big ego is toxic, yelling at me and jumping to conclusions is toxic. You sir are part of the problem, you're literally screaming at your own reflection.
Cool Jumpa that’s like saying it’s your fault for pissing your parents off, but it’s their fault for hitting you, they still shouldn’t be hitting you because they’re grown lmao. hi rez shouldn’t be being offensive, they know what the people want but consistently ignore it and instead just shove dumb things that we never asked for down our throats to shut us up
I blame raid shadow legends for the increase of ad block
Don't you mean the 5+ minute irrelevant ads and absolutely retarded mobile game ads 2x in a row, or the unskippables.
It doesn't help when you've got a smaller community than other MOBAs with nearly the same toxicity
Duality Fun but still having some of the biggest smite content creators leaving hurts the community bad
What does this even mean by “same toxicity”
@@saltsnorter7823 They just like to complain about toxicity like it's some kind of smite issue. When in reality it's not. They just need something to complain about
@@GamingDualities wym no ranked scene> tons of people do duel and joust man
@@saltsnorter7823 people being assholes in the game its the same level as how rude people are in lol
I love all of these TH-camrs and I've watched them for years it's a shame to see them go but they all have their valid reasons and I only wish the best for them
I'm actually pretty excited for this. I don't play smite anymore, but I still really enjoy watching content. That being said, I've seen the work all of the channels put out and based on their editing skills, ability to create interesting content, and overall personalities, I think having them create content that they're truly passionate about will be amazing. I hope their transitions go as well as Myth's did. Looking forward to the future for all these channels and yours as well man!
It really does stink that SMITE just can’t seem to break through. Don’t get me wrong 24k peak players at one time is nothing to scoff at but I feel like there is so much potential for SMITE to grow way larger. And content creation is essential for a games survival and growth. My personal favorite game of all time is Rocket League and it’s a perfect example of content creation growing an entire passionate community around it. All these content creators leaving while perfectly valid will have affects on the games success. Duke if you see this I have a question for you - what do you think SMITE and more specifically Hi Rez has to do in order to draw interest from other places? Like is there potential to grow larger or is it just a game that will aim to just survive at this point?
Well said..I feel like the lack of depth within gods vs let's say "champions" in league of legends (the high cgi cinematics they put out which literally just give you a more intricate look at the characters and the personalities, all of those videos garner well over a million views easily, simply because a good cinematic is a good cinematic, whether u actually want to play the game or not, simply put, their overall style of marketing just doesn't do enough in order to shake the algorithm enough to get into the hands of certain people, I honestly quit league to play smite and never looked back..but as far as smites ability to grow?, Hm. Needs more hype.
To me the biggest flaw with the game as of 2020 is the lack of variety to conquest. After 6 years and they still have 1 map for its main mode? And when they insist the balance centers on one mode (conquest), why would they not add a handful of new maps with the same geometric symmetry to add more excitement to the game??
@@ravf458 Do other mobas have more than one main mode?
@@blainefiasco8225 That question is irrelevant when it's a third person view and have 100+ characters with wildly different abilities. This isn't Madden or FIFA, it's more likened to an action adventure/fantasy title. It's missing the other aspects that make third person games distinct and it's the sense you adventuring into a world where you can do more with your player.
@@ravf458 How is it irrelevant? It's still a moba and most mobas have one map for their main mode, which change with seasons and splits
The main problem for me is in the way they put beginners. I'm sorry but restricted how they supposed to play is quite bad.
They also try to attract people but don't care or don't paying attention to those who leaves.
Biggest issues matchmaking and balance set around things not being beginner friendly
It's more about role I'm talking about. Smite don't talk much about role to new players. So they get stronger with the idea mage -) mid /warrior - -) solo ect. It can make trouble in a game (more often in ranked) because for some people we don't have the right to play, for example guardian in solo...lane.
Most players only trust the pro. They have no help from the game except the low level and bad character tutoriel. Maybe tutorial on every item who gives the benefits of this item for you and ur team ect ect. ...
This is so true. Whenever I get my friends into the game, it is always weird to explain why they can only play arena and joust.
Tutorial is awful ffs thats why lot of people dont play it i think
@@ans-dq9xh they don’t even talk about it all i had to look up what they meant and really role only maters beginning game and if you’re jungle because really its just a bunch of team fights and getting ganked
In DoubleJ's case, he's been meaning to transition from SMITE to a variety of games for ages now. He actually talks about it all the time
But naturally it would be difficult to give up the revenue that SMITE brings in.
We'll see if he bites the bullet this time but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to SMITE primarily because everyone has bills.
Honestly i forgot he was tryna branch out because TH-cam recommends me mostly all of his smite vids but everything that wasnt smite related youtube didnt recommend me his vids even though im subscribed to him for his content
@@Asterion437 that's not how TH-cam works. If you're in your subscriptions tab you should see all the videos posted by the channels you follow. But if you're in your ''home'' (idk if this is the actual name in english, basically the first tab) you're just gonna see recommendations. If you watch a lot of smite content TH-cam is gonna give you smite content.
I don’t blame them I’ve been feeling the same way even tho I feel bad since I love the concept of smite and the foundation of the game.
Bro I feel you on this I’ve been playing since S3 and 2 of my other freinds been playing since S2 and we all quit bc of what they have done to the game it’s such in a bad state
Ive been watching MythyMoo for the better part of a year. I watched all of punk ducks videos (for smite) and DoubleJ is probably my favorite youtuber rn so I’m going to watch what he puts out regardless of the game. As for you Duke, I hope you find a second game that you enjoy and can make content for.
I feel Smite just burns out people in general. Frost was sick of the ranked matchmaking which led him to take a break previously. You had a similar experience. And the people you stated in the video. People who are passionate about the game just cant deal with the game after a long time. Idk if it's management, idk if its balancing, gameplay, community but something gets people tired.
I saw that happening with my brother and his friends and he had the sense to quit and go back to other games. It saved some hard drive space for us and my brother plays single and other multiplayer games now. He's just killing time waiting till season 7 of Apex Legends drops soon.
MOBA's in general are just full of toxic people and no matter what, you become what you hate the most. A friend of his just sucked at these type of games and combined with the lack of knowledge with these games that compounds the misery. I just care about the lore and the game is just awful in general.
It makes me sad to see some of these people go. (I don't know the others) Punk Duck is one of my favorite youtubers and his non Smite videos are so funny! His Life is Strange playthrough is one of the funniest things I've seen.

Those are the legends, always marked as amazing in smite history
I mean the game itself takes the life out of u, puts alot stress on you. to me they haven't fixed match making yet u get paired with anyone with no skills or someone who wants to ruin the match for his teammates, you should get paird with people who's around your skill set i think that would help keep down the toxicity in smite.
My biggest confusion is how as a rank 150 somethin why am i getting people who seem to have no concept of the game
That where they will never change, it cost to much $$$ to implement that mechanic, which would come out of all the employees pockets, and you know they ain't doin that.
@@yolover111 no a decent matching system costs shit. You can write a simple one in a day. Make it fancy in a week. Make it stable in a months if it's complex.
Low-Rez is just shitting on it's player base once again.
The idea of matching console and PC players in a moba alone says everything about them.
xD yes sure
Im guessing the reason why I'll never quit is because I don't play ranked lol. If im not good enough at games to make money or win tournaments from them I'll always play it the most fun way which is casually
Honestly Duke I stopped playing Smite about a year ago. The only reason I'm sticking around is because of your other content. Well that and the quality of your work.
Thank you for that! :)
@@DukeSloth Anytime Duke, keep up the good work!
I don't see why people think it's weird that anyone, even a "Professional", wouldn't want to play the same game all the time. No "Gamer" can comfortably limit themselves to a single game, no matter how much money they have.
^ This.
When you force yourself to play the same game over and over just for the views, of course it will cause frustration. It can happens to any game, not just SMITE.
Exactly, I could not sit here and play the same game over and over again

@@baquithemonkey5330 I can definitely highly recommend fineokay as well. But I'll still always miss Diamond Troll/Smagann/Hothandluke, he had a very unique personality.
You should make videos about what games you are looking for so people can know that they're gonna die. It is like a 6th sense at this point.
LMAO
I've played smite for like 4 or 5 years and every now and then I have to step away from it. Its honestly good that these guys are doing the same. Smite is fun sometimes but playing it nonstop can be exhausting.
Smite unfortunately is quite stagnant as far as making fun content goes, so it’s not really a surprise that some TH-camr’s drop it. Even OG’s like SamDaDude play other games aswell.
Perhaps newer smite youtubers will emerge due to so many leaving? 🤷🏾♀️
Your face is easy to look at, I think you should keep up the smite content!
As a Kali player, I'm incredibly offended at what you typed around the 3:10 mark. You said there is no such thing as a killsteal. Well ill have you know that not only did you basically kill me, but you also took away the hypothetical penta kill i was imagining when i dove phoenix.

@@alejandrovelazquez6714 its weird though because he stills plays smite (according to smiteguru) so the reason he stopped uploading isnt because of smite itself but because he just doesnt want to do youtube for whatever reason so i highly doubt he will come back for the patch

I love mythy’s new content I started watching him 4-5 years ago because of smite but his asura gameplay is hella entertaining.
Gets old putting up with peoples shit because they can hide behind a keyboard. There are so many other enjoyable games without the level of toxicity this one has
Only those that have no way to communicate XD pretty much all games were you can communicate with each other has toxicity.
Tbh plenty of games nowadays are toxic. Hell, Rocket League gets pretty toxic. I think MOBAs especially are toxic because everyone believes they know the game better than everyone else and don’t care why someone might be losing lane/positioning poorly. People don’t think to try to help people that aren’t doing too well, and even if they don’t understand the game well enough to help later on you might as well give them a tip or two before the f6.
People just need to help players that don’t know the game.
u havent seen what real toxic is if u havent played dbd yet
Mago Nothing will ever come close to MW2 and Black Ops lobbies. You came out of those fuckers with thick skin.
Those icon transitions looking clean, Duke.
I seriously hope you don’t quit smite man. You’re vids on it are pretty good. I still love the game itself despite its flaws and problems, but I do try to limit myself to it (like around 5 no less then ten games a day) but I respect the others decisions to leave it. Here’s hoping doubleJ does come back his vids on it are pretty good imo.
i got burned out a few years back and quit the game for a while ,and what kept me for completely erase it from my life were the above mentioned youtubers ,and eventually i came back and now i quite enjoy it ... it truly saddens m e that they for the most part "quit" the game
As the only person I know with youtube premium, how much does having it help you out monetarily for watching most of your videos? Is there anyway for you to know?
I don't know the exact numbers because they removed some of the old statistics, but I can tell you it's HUGE for any creator based on the times when those stats were available. The revenue from premium was already massively higher than the ad rates back then and ad rates have dropped heavily since. It obviously depends on how many creators you watch because it's split between them and won't be as massive as any direct donation to a creator because TH-cam takes a decent cut themselves, but generally speaking it's most definitely helpful (plus it's a nice way to support multiple creators at once). So, thank you! I still don't understand why TH-cam doesn't advertise Premium more and gives it some extra features like free membership to 1 channel or something. I honestly imagine it would increase their income as well.
@@DukeSloth Sweet! Premium guy here, i've watched you fro about 3 years now and I am happy to hear my non-ad watching self didn't adversely affect you.
@@DukeSloth I went premium years ago to watch you, soloJ, myth/duck and some TCGtubers like MTGs the Professor while I do my HW at Univ. I always wondered if it mattered and to know it does even minutely is a boon. Stay safe and take care.
@ShnyMnstr Quite the opposite, haha! Thanks to you as well! :)
Im quitting Smite for Paragon the future of 3rd person MOBA. Fault, Predecessor and Overprime all paragon-projects are looking so good right now.
HiRez just has a habit of ruining anything they have going for them.
A example of this is the battle royale(I already forget the name) that they made and remove the coolest thing = the classes
It's more so upper management they refuse to listen to anyone thinking their way is right let's not even get on the Hr Team management
Steiner von Wolfkin Kreave it doesn’t matter HiRez ruined the game before the separated into 3 teams. HiRez is still the parent company therefore they are responsible.
Anonymous EXPECT US we it’s also the team in general they are lazy, the two things people got to work for besides ranked was loading screen stats and clan store which are gone because they are too lazy to fix it.
@Steiner von Wolfkin Kreave doyou not understand what "parent company" means?
Just wanted to say that I'm glad that you don't sound so burnt out anymore :)
lies
The problem I had with the DoubleJ channel review was the guy pretty much told him to jump from playing one single game that was "dying" to jump to another single that can die just as well
Yeah I agree! I thought that suggestion was a bit shortsighted and I think what DoubleJ is doing is a much better call
I am hoping for the paragon assets games to make content and the games to be released
its always weird for me to see people make those changes, i mostly think it doest count as a change. Like, if you dont wanna play smite, then just dont? play something else, and maybe make a video on that. but then, i always have those """burnouts""" that i just cant bring myself to play a certain game anymore, but i come back later. i played sooo much monster hunter, but then, like 3 months ago i had a moment where i just had to quit and i didnt touch the game since. im sure i will later, but not right now, and i think this is the same for most people. you simply cant do the same thing for years and always feel happy about it.
i think there shouldnt be a video necessary that someone has to explain themselves that they dont want to play smite for the 5th year daily, but i can see why people would be confused. it kinda just sucks. i can also see that in most cases people wont be interested in all kinds of content, but most of the time, people watch the videos because of the creator and not explicitly because of the content, and most of the time, people are like "oh, dont worry, we want that you are happy no matter what content you do, if you do it at all. of course its sad, but you have to focus on yourself more"
but hey, the shit they pulled with punkduck was absolutely not okay
I mean, the difference is that these guys earn their income making content about the game. A lot of people just tend to be put off if they see another game that they don't expect. And I can tell you that this people exist from my own experience as well. When I make a video about another game, I often get at least one comment telling me to stick to Smite only/make more Smite content instead.
I hope crucible comes out successfully. I love the way you show information in a way that doesn't have excessive bias, but still has personality, and would love to see all that with crucible, or any other game I suppose.
its kinda sad to see the game like that... SMITE is sadly one of the only MOBAs with that kinda style (rest in peace Paragon, Gigantic and so many more wish you all would come back)
WISH GRANTED
I’m really rooting for double j and I think he’s got a really great chance with other videos
They should honestly get rid of the people in Hirez management that PunkDuck had to deal with.
It’s not doubt that they’re the reason why the game is being pulled down at all. Like a toxic teammate not getting the picture.
I’m in a similar position as double j, I don’t stream or anything like that I just work a lot but when I do want to sit down and play some games I generally just don’t enjoy the game as much as I used to anymore, and even when I play with friends I find it hard to get enjoyment out of playing it gets to a point where it’s just frustrating me to death and idky so I’m probably taking some steps away from smite but I’m glad the community is still doing fantastic and I hope for it to grow and prosper I’m never like fully quitting smite but it’s just gotten to a point where I’m burned out and I don’t enjoy playing the game rn
Now that I think about moving foward with changing the conquest map when newer players are trying to learn the current one sounds a bit funny on paper at least.
Faults alpha comes out Friday, you could get in early and get that market along with Smite.
Honestly dukesloth the way you make videos is absolutely fine by me. I just enjoy hearing you talk. In all honesty you can make a podcast and id still enjoy it. Likewise, if players allow it, you can use other peoples gameplay and voice over it and id still like it. Whatever keeps you happy and fresh we will support you.
I hope HiRez understand that aside from player based count, a good representation of a game growth is the state of the community and passionate content creators.
Honestly I think you should give SOT a chance it’s really picked up and there’s so much new content and even more on the way, they release new content every month. Highly recommend giving it a shot and maybe going for your highest viewed video lol
I heard! Definitely on my list!
Interesting to see there might be a possible opportunity to "fill the boots" of these bigger content creators that are leaving. While it's unfortunate to see them go, and i'm sure we'd never replace them, it might provide a gap in the market for newer creators such as myself and others who want to grow.
Fill your dads ass boots.
Me and my friends used to play a lot of smite, but we quit 2 months ago as lag issues were too much in southeast Asia (300+ ping all the time). I dont know what happened, from 180 to 300 ping in just 1-2 patches or something. I am still addicted to your content though

I haven’t even played in two months. You are literally the only content I have pertaining to the game. It’s just not the same game anymore.
Why do u think its not the same tho? Is it because of the season change, or something more subjective?
I didn't even know they existed before seeing this video. Actually surprised there were any to begin with.
2:42 I really appreciate the passing comment about this, it’s an extremely frustrating factor that has led to me taking multiple breaks from smite over the years because this region just feels completely left out.
Also can anyone please tell me what the game at 8:00 is?
"Don't starve"
Were those numbers at 6:35 pc? Or just smite in general?
PC, steam only
It's because of these people and you duke that I started playing/ making videos about Smite.
I have so much fun with every single character, but I feel like everyone will feel the same at one point.
Not even sad about Smite going down. HiRez is pretty cool for how simple the games are and that you can start very fast but takes time to master.
What I've learned about most smaller companies is that they do 200 things at once, instead of making Smite better and better, they created Paladins that no one asked for and so on. So the effort went to multiple games instead of one.
I've never played any MOBA games at all but Smite has interesting concept(Greek Mytholgy specifically)that made me atleast just a viewer for Smite content creators,I hope Smite devs look forward in improving the game more
What was that game you were playing?the 2d game that you were cutting down a tree?
Don't Starve Together!
I don't have adblock, but sometimes the ads just don't play idk why.
I have never played nor watched smite in my life. But still watch your content.
:))
The way you could see this is also a new opportunity for upcoming content creators. People who dont wanna go competitive or professional in smite but just play for fun like BMT. Maybe they'll bring something new to the table and the people that left might actually feel good to see smite rise again in terms of content
Oh absolutely, I always have my eyes out for new talent as well. Unfortunately, many of the new creators tend to stick to gameplay only because that's what easiest and makes the most money on youtube :/
Thank you for the great videos! I just started watching you this week and subscribed. Found your channel looking for people still playing smite after mythymoo left. Dont burn yourself out, but play the game for the fun of it. That's why we play games, right? :)
This is so sad. I didn't know Mast wasn't enjoying Smite. Me and this other person in live chat from yesterday's smite stream and talked about how we wanted him to make another video
Maybe it's a good thing , maybe some other youtubers or streamer will get spotlight or something but I'll support all of them😊
TH-camrs are partly to blame for the state of the game as well. Constantly getting team mates who try to mimic TH-cam videos and just ruin the game for everyone else
I know Punk Ducks transition will go just as well as Myth did because his most viewed videos aren't even smite. I just hope I can still see more collabs with Punk Duck, DoubleJ, Trelli, Rexsi, and Myth. Their personalities just mix so well for entertaining content.
Heads up on the Patreon front. Apparently they're going to get hit with a massive amount of lawsuits coming up and it could destroy them as a company.
Might be good for the game honestly new fresh blood can come into the mix for viewers
Although I will say this new meta coming about soon is def gonna shake things up
Joshua Hutchinson However, I fear that tanks will soon be completly unviable in a few patches if they keep going down this road.
I got pretty burned out of Smite a while ago, and it's been _frankly weird_ to be so invested in a game that I can't bring myself to actually play as often. I'm planning on coming back to it with the mid-season update, because a lot of their new stuff looks really cool and fun!
It's definitely a strange time for the community. Right off the back of expanded toxicity measures (...presumably) and he-who-shall-not-be-named getting the boot, HiRez immediately loses all of the goodwill it had. As always, it feels like the game is being held back by HiRez, which is unfortunate. The Titan Forge folk are great people.
I have a feeling maybe a new surgence of smite TH-camrs could be in the rise. Although it's a bit sad so see people leave it's also extremely cool. Smite can be a real shit show. It can also be incredibly fun. Hopefully things work out for everyone, and remember don't forget to love each other
I'm pretty happy with the direction most are going, especially myth, he tried quiting like 5 times and finally got it right lol
Smite has good personalities and I think them branching out is a good thing. Hopefully they still do some smite content, but if they aren't smite exclusive I think that'll be better for them too
I stopped casually playing smite entirely a few years ago since I cant get my ps4 stuff on PC, but every now and then I watch solodouble J or something.
I don’t even know these people at all. Just curious on why they quit smite. I want to get masters before I quit at least.
Can't blame, I love Smite, I really do but from constantly being matched with 3 stacks while I am with randoms to dealing with disgusting character mechanics, it is just too much sometimes.
Smite was fun once upon a time, but the extreme mismanagement at lowrez highlighted particularly by punkduck's situation, combined with the fact that 90% of skins are in lootboxes (or you can spend $25 to buy 1 phuqqin skin as if thats any better), and numerous other issues confirms that I was right to walk away from the game.
You are the only smite content i watch now, and thats only because i like watching you. Smite can honestly get fucked at this point.
My biggest issue with smite is the matchmaking. Either I get matched with people that have no idea what they’re doing vs teams full of people who are trying their hardest or the other way around. There’s no in between I rarely get put in even matches. At times it feels like the game punishes you for being decent.
I've really been enjoying SMITE lately. I've enjoyed watching the content creators for SMITE such as yourself, fineokey, PandaCat and others... BUT... I really feel like their gonna have a slight downfall when they finish recreating Paragon. Predecessor and Fault are getting closer and closer to launch. Speaking for myself, I plan on transitioning to those games as soon as they launch. I can only assume that other SMITE players will do the same. Id recommend creators making the switch too to those games, meanwhile keeping up with SMITE content in case it doesn't fall from the launch of those games.
I'm 100% interested in those games, but I'm not concerned for Smite's future based on their existence. I think competition is healthy and leads to the improvement of games. You have to keep in mind that even original Paragon wasn't profitable though. It's going to be very hard for these smaller studios with a very limited marketing budget to find a larger audience. I really hope it works out and the games release with enough polish to be successful, but I'm cautious.
@@DukeSloth I do agree that competition is healthy. I don't believe these new games will be SMITE's demise. Not at all. But there is some real thought about the profitability topic. Epic games is a much bigger company and required more revenue compared to the smaller developers recreating the games now. They'll have an easier time staying afloat with a smaller community. Its very likely that at least one game will be here to stay. I'm curious though, will you be streaming and creating content for these new games? Predecessor is in their closed Alpha. And Fault launches their early access on the 17th. Will you at all be transitioning in to those games at all? Meanwhile continuing your current content of course.
Will definitely have a look at Fault, that seems to be the most promising one so far imo!
@@DukeSloth Yeeees. I hope you get in on the early access that released today! 😃
Gonna hold off on it for a bit tbh. Reviews are very mixed and I didn't know it was gonna be pay to play
I'd like to see ya look at mobas in general. Upcoming ones, games that unexpectedly have moba ish modes or aspects, like For Honor breach mode, etheral, paragon projects, etc
Paragon died for a reason.
Definitely looking in the Paragon Projects!
Can somebody tell how you enable fps and the ping layout plz
Press F8 ingame
Hey Duke I've come to you for years to learn about the meta and smite whenever I come back I love your content. I would love to see you cover smite Still. However I believe for honor, war thunder, overwatch 2, Warframe communities would love videos from you explaining their metas
Does rexsi count? I mean he plays 1vs1 alot. Thats what I see in his channel.
Not to mention this past months I've been playing with newbies so I'm not sure smite is dying, I beraly seen any masters or Veterans now a days
You know duke, you could try going after the new paragon remake, Fault! Its out now on steam and there is ALOT of hype around it! Its a 3rd person moba so you shouldnt have a hard time picking it up. Its got a cool spin on the genre and i think its worth picking up ;) gl man
No snort and double J they are my laughing stocks. Hopefully rexsi doesn’t quit
Who was the streamer that said Smite is going down?
Punkduck was the biggest shock. And it wasn't the Devs, just upper management and accounting.
I would love to see you create a podcast. I love your commentary and could listen to you talk about anything tbh. Idk how you'd feel about it but itd be a cool experiment.
I'm glad you're going to start a patreon, I have no issues with subscribing to it to help support you, I'm playing smite less now as you know but I still love watching your vids and I hope you can find another game to branch out to as it gives more of a chance for more people to watch your content and for people like me moving away from smite to continue watching you. I'm very interested to see where your content will go and I wish you the best to be able to keep doing this full time!
I know this is a personal opinion and no disrespect meant to the content creator, but I never understood why people liked Mythymoo. HIs content and jokes are always the same and seems bland and boring to me. I'm glad he is doing well and that he found his community, but it always baffled me that people actually enjoy his content as, if you see one video you basically have seen his entire channel.
Mythymoo is only decent to watch if you’re a complete noob to Smite. Once you get past being a noob his content is just irrelevant.
Man, I thought it was only me, for Punk Duck case it was sad but for Myth...idk, let's just say I stop watching him quite long before he quitted. Glad he stepped out and playing whatever he want, the guys seems suffered when playing the same game over and over.
i still miss mast A LOT
that guy was the perfect smite youtuber imo, he seemed to do literally everything right.
Ads on TH-cam are really volatile. It sucks that lots of people are getting affected by that rn. Good luck dude
Watching funny smite vids by content creators inspire me to play the game and have fun.
Variety is a double edge sword. You have alot of freedom, but you cannot become fully attached to one game and you have to rush resulting in burn out. Being stuck to one game makes it so your channel's success is based on that games success. If that game fails or closes so does your channel. I wish you the best of luck.
1:41 I can hear the "WHATS UP GAMERS" just by the twitching profile picture
i like your information centered videos and suggest u do it for 3 games instead of only 2 , the third one can be the new paragon since it is going to draw a lot of players in TH-cam for guides
Mast also quited Smite 4 months ago. I miss him so much :'(
I havn't played Smite regulary for like a 2 months, im just waiting for mid season patch to test some things, get Avatar skins and that's probably it.
I think that simply saying that some creators are tired of Smite is unintentionally putting the game in a negative light. Almost anyone would get tired of playing the same game every day for years and a point should be made that it's not that game's fault specifically. Duke mentioned something similar briefly but I think a clear point should've been made
Maybe if smite players weren't so toxic to new players it wouldn't be dying
What took them so long?
