I used to cry when I had to go home from camping. I paid off my mortgage on base camp and saving up for a 6x12 utility trailer. They run 6k to 9k today. I have enough for inside from my house. I am a biologist and I have corrected my health problems with food. I have a pickup for a garage. I admire his setup.
Janet I feel you hard 💓 I would get mad and sad every time I had to go "home" from a camping trip. It's insane to crawl back to the grid and the grind, after living in nature on nature's terms knowing that the constructs of society are not essential to living. ANYWAY. Best wishes for you and your setup 🙌
I hate it when I see our older veterans struggling but inspired by how he changed his life and went from sitting around to traveling around making a better life for himself. Thanks for sharing his story Bob.
When you realize stuff doesn’t make you happy, you magically get happier. Out here 8 years in my cargo 6X12 rebuild. I should have done this 50 years ago.
Health is hard to find unfortunately. When I hear of anyone who is looking for help now that I am healing myself, I recommend they look into the carnivore diet like I did. No doctor, naturopath, supplement, diet has helped me like this one has so I highly recommend it to everyone, because health is being able to live life like we should.
Thanks so much for sharing your life. Last year l went to True North clinic for a juice fast. And got off 5 meds that were prescribed for me. They promote a salt, oil, sugar free lifestyle with a plant based whole food diet. But since then have fallen back into processed food like items and dairy. My diabetes ll and hypertension have returned.
10:07 I went Whole Food Plant Based as well, a couple of years ago, and it COMPLETELY changed my health for the better! No longer have type 2 diabetes, lost 68 pounds and have never felt better!!
So awesome that Woody chooses to eat whole food plant based meals, and he got rid of diabetes and lupus. That's a nice lifestyle he's got going there. I'd like to see Woody's cooking show.
Hey Woody!!! I boondocked with you and the gang at the 2023 RTR. You're an awesome dude and a real inspiration for great living. Thank you for being such a cool person. Let's chill again soon :)
My daughter went to college for 4 years to become a nurse -- gave it all up 7 or 8 years ago to co-own a hot yoga studio -- said she wanted to help people *before* they get sick! And I couldn't be any prouder of her. :)
I am also a nurse and totally understand your daughter's feelings on this. It's really hard to watch the medical community just push pills on people instead of getting to the root of the problem. I too am getting ready to buy a cargo trailer to do a minimal build out. I had a shorty bus built for me, but it was just too much (to work on if needed). I'm very excited to begin traveling soon with something that will be much more manageable for me. I'll do one or two nursing agency gigs a year and that should put enough in the bank to travel on and save a little more for retirement (I'm 58, no SS yet). Happy Travels everyone!!
Getting out and traveling with a well organized setup that you don’t have crawl around in . Being able to sand up and stretch and walk around is something else I like about a cargo trailer. Sounds like this nice fella is trying to be as healthy and active as ever as a senior 😊
Nice setup Woody. The 6x12 is a perfect size for a single person IMHO. As a fellow disabled Vet, I approve wholeheartedly! I have a 6x12 V-Nose CT that I have been converting over the past couple of years. Just installed an 8000btu rooftop AC unit that runs off of DC and 600watts of solar. The solar can run the AC on ECO mode and still charge the batteries during the day and I can run the AC at night just on batteries. I will be making a video in the next couple of weeks that will document the extensive build out I have done to it now that the final pieces are in place. I also have a 36' Class A RV but spend more time in the CT traveling around the region than I do in the RV. The RV gets 6-7 mpg whereas my RAM 1500 ECO Diesel gets almost 20mpg pulling the CT. I use the RV as my "Hub" and travel the surrounding region in the CT. A perfect setup IMO.
If I ever decide to take off for a life on the road, it will be in a nicely insulated cargo trailer. It is true the price of them has skyrocketed in the last few years, but this is true for everything.
Hi bob. Wowwwwwww. Beautiful set up. He has the best of both worlds. Excellent choice. A cargo trailer. Cant beat that. I did camping out in the city. Had to work. No extra money. I was single for 5 yrs. Homeless during the summer. Paid rent for a room winter time. No planet fitness aroun back in the early 80.s. My mom past away in 1980. Couldnt pay rent. No job. My brother helped me what he could. He was on a budget to. Yep 5 yrs. Partial homeless. Did. Wash cars at a do it yourself car wash. Did laundry for truck drivers. Love those drivers. They actually saved my life for food. Love the truck stops to. Did cleaning. Restrooms. Took free showers for work stocking. Slept up the way on property away from the engine noise. Saved gas to. I ate plenty of food. Best place to stay ive ever had. Had a wonderful experience living camp life to. Apts is still no.1. Of sleeping. Park anywhere at night. Daytime stayed at several parks. Cook etc. No problems. Did work at some resturants. Clean tables stack dishes for the dishwaser. I mopped and swept and did side work filling up salt pepper shakers sauces etc. I ate plenty of food. Love the cooks. Made a little money. Worked at jack in the box for clean up empty trash cleaned tables mop swept. The foors to. That was processed good food. But it was food to eat. Couldnt help it. No money. No job. Looking asking daily who was hiring. Nothing available. Had plenty of handy wipes. Etc. Had a few drs. Appts I bathed plenty at jack in the box at night for clean up. I love everyone that helped me eat. Those wonderful ppl. Will be blessed. They saved my life. I worked in a laundrymat. A big one. Had a big very clean storeroom. I made it a little apt. The owner couldnt believe it. He ket me live in the storeroom as long as i wanted. The laundrymat was spotless clean. I loved it. He needed help bad. I did such a good job for him. He gave money for a full tank of gas anytime to go job hunting. I filled up his chips and coke machines twice daily. I ate all i wanted. That was a salary to. I worked contracted kinda. I was very happy there. He and wife was 70yrs old. Place was up for sale. Property sold 4 mo. Later in the summertime. So back at the previous jobs i did. Later come wintertime i met a good man. I thought. Married a yr. Later Married 3yrs. A womanizer and cheater. I borrowed the money from my brother. I divorced him and put him on the road. Nevrr looked back. My brother remarried with children. House ti noisey. Couldnt stay with him. No extra room. Back at the previous jobs again. Single lady. For 2yrs. Met a fine veteran man. Later married stayed married for 26yrs. He passed . now i have some health issues. Oh i did find a job contracted work for 25yrs. Same work. Had to retire in 2010. No job since. Retired. Im tired of looking for work contracted. Its hard. Nobody hired me cuz of no experience. I dont have much education. Im 76yrs. Now. No computer experience. Always had to work different hrs. In contracted work. It didnt pay much over minimum wage. Depends on the job work. This true story is to say. Quote. If i can do it anybody can do it. So just get out there. Try it out camping. Its fun. Its great. It is a piece of mind anf freedom of choice. Be your own boss. Get out of the sticks and bricks box youre in. Rent your house out for a extra income. I started out with vrty little money. I had no income to drpend on half the time. The contracted jobs i had. Almost half the companies employees was homrless to. We pooled our money together for gas and food. We shared helping one another to eat. Later jobs ended. Everyone went in different directions. Lost contact. Now i have a soc.sec. check. Its m Not enough for food. I cant work. My hubby hasnt found a job since 2mo. Befire the pandemic hit town. To present. He is a paintter of apts. Outside of houses only. Etc. No work hr. Or contracted. Rent keeps going up and food to. Unbelieveable. We font qualify for anything. My check goes over the limit of 100.00. We went everywhere we could for help. There is a big big problem in this town of descrimination. Im in dallas texas. Minimum wage is 7.25hr. All ppl. Do is work paying taxes from there paychecks. Look at the take home pay. What can we all buy on that. To me. If ppl. Make less than 35000.00 gross pay. They live in poverty. No jobs. Lost homes and cars etc. What about there children to. What about. Our veterans. Lost limbs in war to save all of lives and country. Etc. Nobody says anything about our vets. Oh my brothrt passed away in 2012yr. He was a veteran for 6yrs of service in the vietnam war. The navy. There is more than probabliy more than 75000 homeless ppl. USA. When will it ever stop. The sad numders is growing. Its nice to have a home bsse. But gotta buy out town. We havent traveled out of town. No money. Have to stay in town. Check out all zoneing laws or rules before buying. There is a chance ppl. Will loose everything if they dont check it out.oh. even motels is very expensive. Cant live in them. I checked them out. Long time ago. They are there for ppl. That travel. They over charge. Rip offs. To me apts. Is the sane way. Ppl. Move in. Move out. High rent. Get a motel for the same price for apt. No lease mess to deal with. And to ruin the credit history. Stay or go anytime. No problems. Credit history still good. For me in my situation. If i could afford a motel. I would. Downsizing and be a minimulist. House keeping is a breeze. Thank you bob and cody for all that you do. Love these videos. The gentleman with a beautiful cargo trailer. A vet may god bless him. And you to bob. Thank you for your service. Oh. We need a van without towing cuz later need transmission work. Its bettrr for us. Also need to mount a rack for a 15 drawer tool chest of tools and 2000.00 of tools. That maybe to much weight for the back of a van . vans and trucks are so expensive. Even 10 yr. Old . autos. We dont do auto repairs. Dont know how. Just know how they should run. Thanks everyone for your time. Lol. From a big fan jan from. Dallas texas.
Woody, I'm from a very long line of military, my daughter is still in for 2 more yrs. I appreciate you & thank you for your service. I'm nomad for 2 yrs & you are right, it's home life!
I have a 5x8 diamond cargo I pull around with a 2003 Chevy blazer. I run a Bluetti 200Max solar gen. I have the Midland radio you seen on Woody’s shelf and also the Ryobi gas gen for backup. I currently only use my trailer to take naps between jobs but would love to go nomadic in it one day. Great tour Bob
Hello Woody! I enjoyed this video so much . I can verify that he is a good cook! (Enjoyed your company at the vegan potlucks😊.) I keep hearing about people reversing diabetes with a whole foods plant based diet. I hope this video gets the word out and helps many people. Happy trails, Woody! Thank you Bob!
Great video, thanks for highlighting Woody. He is a wonderful influence to those of us who want to take control of our health through whole food plant-based eating.
Woody, I hope we cross paths in the future, I definitely could use a lot of help when it comes to cooking. You are an inspiration on how you just 'did it' way to go!
Once again a great interview Bob, is there any grumpy no mads? Such diversity but all such beautiful spirits! Thank you for all you do for others. Much love and many blessings
I'm sure there are some Debbie Downers out there. Might be interesting to see such an interview but could also cause some backlash. Then again, it might be enlightening for us to see nomad life is not always rainbows and unicorns. 🤷♀️
Very nice set up.. Very nice man and totally agree on food it's your body and we either support it or fail it.. Great video Bob guys have wonderful day
Thank you for the nice interview and tour of Woody's cargo trailer. I have also noticed used cargo trailers are as expensive as new so I agree with Woody. 🎉
Thanks Bob for another informative video. This man wants only what he wants and doesn't see a need for things that doesn't pertain to him. A real minimulist. And it makes him happy. He seems like a clear thinker. Hope to meet him one day on the road. I also would want to learn more about a better way to eat to enjoy life more. See you on your next visit with us. From Central Oklahoma.
This is Awesome!!!! I have been thinking about what I want to do, what kind of rig I want to put together. It will be a ways off yet. But this is definitely an option.Seriously liking the idea of a van/trailer combo.
Keys to re building health,as this Gentleman says.1)no processed food .2) no added SUGAR. 3) NO High Fructose Corn Syrup.4)No Grains. 5) No Industrial seed Oils 6)No Alcohol . Don't see it as a diet, see it as a lifestyle, to reduce inflammation ,and eliminate insulin resistance .
Two lovely gentlemen, having a great discussion about how to live a healthy, sane, life. Woody's trailer looks comfortable and spacious. Thank you both for sharing.
When he mentioned his interest in nutrition i realized how well this guy is doing. This issue of eating well is massive for health maintenance long term and he’s totally figured it out. Well done.
If you are sleeping in the trailer, how do you lock yourself inside at night to stay safe? Presuming the door lock is the type that only works from the outside.
Great for you on your eating plant based. With all the drawbacks of cooking plant based but you manage with what you have. I struggle with all the appliances but still can't cook anything worth eating. I love veggie soups but never seem to get it right. I could live on that... congratulations.
I am glad that he has this very great option to travel trailers and use a cargo trailer for living space and his truck for a garage setup. I have a 93 Chevy K1500 Silverado,5.7 350 and I have recently bought from my Dads estate a tandem axle cargo trailer that my Dad made, and it's heavy empty. Over 1000 lbs empty. It's filling up with my possessions and my truck has a Leer canopy on it and I can sleep in the back on a bed I have built. Once the house/property sells I will get my stuff finished packing up and head out to 🏞🌄🕊. I'm glad to hear that this gentleman is able to get out and enjoy life.. I thank you for your service sir 🇺🇸🦅👍. Safe travels
With diet and exercise the progression of diabetes can be slowed, but it never "goes away." I am also a diabetic and it's nice to see someone that is taking care of himself. Unfortunately I know so many diabetics that do not. Well done sir and thank you for your service!
Wow! This man is so inspiring! He deserves the best care to assist him since he was in our Military. It is wrong that he is struggling in any way. He is trying so hard and he is such a good person. I would like to follow him and cook for him and the people he is helping along the way. Nutrition is so important. Eating healthy is not that hard. Cutting out sugar and carbs can be hard, but we can all do it.
I'm hearing a lot of joyful accounts of seniors eliminating their chronic illnesses with improved diet and exercise, and being taken off meds by their doctors because they are now doing well
Woody has the secret to happiness! Take care of your health!!! Too many of us take our health for granted! Hippocrates stated “let food be your medicine”! Very nice rig setup! Thank you Bob & Woody!
Nice minimal build. You explained what has happened with cargo trailer pricing. Just get new one. What were the horizontal pieces of wood across interior front of cargo trailer for? Hard to see them. Hope you strap down things like generator, etc. in your pickup in case of sudden stops. How was the curved part of ceiling insulation installed? Again, hard to see. I will be helping someone insulate theirs.
Could you please touch base on the plant base Whole Foods you eat? It would help so many of us. Don’t have a lot of reading time, but a video demonstration would be great! Sincerely, Lm
Nice simple setup that really appeals to me. Too much clutter in small space could be stressful. Well done for the healthy eating and sure you will be a huge inspiration to other nomads👍😊
Thank you for sharing. Gave me a little more hope and direction. I think I’ve known this is what I needed to do for awhile. It’s difficult to not be influenced by “the American dream” even though I don’t think that works or is really even wanted anymore
Woody, you should do an interview with Chef AJ. What a great story you have to tell, being healthy and curing diabetes 13:14 and lupus while on the road on a very limited budget. Healthy eating is so important to those on a limited income and soooo in reach. Costs alot less than medications!
That sounds awesome, hopefully you run into these 2 on your journey. I will be waiting for your build out on your trailer along with your story. 😁
Hope you get to go soon😊
Janet I feel you hard 💓 I would get mad and sad every time I had to go "home" from a camping trip. It's insane to crawl back to the grid and the grind, after living in nature on nature's terms knowing that the constructs of society are not essential to living. ANYWAY. Best wishes for you and your setup 🙌
Well done. Got rid of diabetes and lupus. Well done! Bless you
I hate it when I see our older veterans struggling but inspired by how he changed his life and went from sitting around to traveling around making a better life for himself. Thanks for sharing his story Bob.
Yes we should take better care of our veterans and seniors😊
Combat veterans, yes. 'In the rear with the gear' veterans, no.
When you realize stuff doesn’t make you happy, you magically get happier.
Out here 8 years in my cargo 6X12 rebuild. I should have done this 50 years ago.
It's great that he takes his health seriously and studies nutrition and knows how to cook

@@tallcedars2310 And Woody has done just the opposite with a whole plant based vegan diet.
Great to see. I'd love another episode on his diet.
I agree, great determination for anyone especially an older person. Blessings.
Good man Woody, glad you’re living your best life. Thanks for your service.
10:07 I went Whole Food Plant Based as well, a couple of years ago, and it COMPLETELY changed my health for the better! No longer have type 2 diabetes, lost 68 pounds and have never felt better!!
Outstanding gentleman and I personally thank him for his service!

Yes I want to see Woody's cooking show. I also eat plant-based whole food so not sure how that would translate on the road. Would be so helpful.
What a great guy. That trailer and truck set up does everything he needs and he looks as happy as a clam out there. Thanks for showing us this Bob.
"I just threw everything on the floor in there and left. I'm done." 😅😅😂😂 I'm loving this video.
Bob he did a great job on his build....Peace
We spend a lot of time accumulating things we don't need. This man has the right idea, travel light and enjoy life.👍🇦🇺
Very good set up, minimalist but has everything you need. Pretty impressive the way he took his health into his own hands.
Hey Woody!!! I boondocked with you and the gang at the 2023 RTR. You're an awesome dude and a real inspiration for great living. Thank you for being such a cool person. Let's chill again soon :)
Important to be healthy when you decide to be full time out there.
I really really like this guy's vibe and his spacious, simple setup
My daughter went to college for 4 years to become a nurse -- gave it all up 7 or 8 years ago to co-own a hot yoga studio -- said she wanted to help people *before* they get sick! And I couldn't be any prouder of her. :)

Very cool! Im a Veteran and converted 7x16 loadrunner from same video Woody saw from Bob!

I appreciate his minimalist trailer, I feel better in clear environment. I'm sure it helps with gas mileage also
Inspiring! He has got rid of T2 diabetes AND lupis! WELL DONE!
Super nice and basic… very likable gentleman… happy trails 😊
A true minimalist. Nice! Best of luck on our travels.
Bob really had to pull out the adjectives here 😂. So much storage lol.
Absolutely great man! No matter what branch of the military this gentleman served - Semper Fi!

If I ever decide to take off for a life on the road, it will be in a nicely insulated cargo trailer. It is true the price of them has skyrocketed in the last few years, but this is true for everything.
I'm so glad that Woody is out there, sharing his wisdom and talents. I love his minimalist set-up and his attitude /philosophy. Thanks for sharing 🤗

very nice and clean, doesn’t feel crowded
Sitting at home... Going to the store (Walmart) and to the doctor.....
That explains my dad right down to the letter!
Great rig!! Love it. Simple and efficient. Less to go wrong, and nice and clean.
I'd need a window.
Woody, I'm from a very long line of military, my daughter is still in for 2 more yrs. I appreciate you & thank you for your service. I'm nomad for 2 yrs & you are right, it's home life!

Nice cargo trailer, good job. I have a travel trailer, that i built myself. Hope to see you some time and show it off!
Thank you for your service to our country.

Love this interview. I hope he gets his claim approved!❤
Well, you can't get no more minimalist than this.
I’d always loved camping and this is home! I understand ❤
Very inspirational. God bless
Great setup Woody, thanks for the tour! Thank you for your service 🇺🇸 Safe and happy travels!
Great build and thanks for your service. Thanks for the tour and take care.

We are what we eat😊
Great video, thanks for highlighting Woody. He is a wonderful influence to those of us who want to take control of our health through whole food plant-based eating.
Woody, I hope we cross paths in the future, I definitely could use a lot of help when it comes to cooking. You are an inspiration on how you just 'did it' way to go!
This guy has the right idea, and the diet he's on is the same as what I'm doing and has made a Huge difference in my life ❤️. Thanks for Sharing ❤️
Seems like most are enjoying their lives. Maybe American dream is more of a nightmare 😊
Very nice set up.. Very nice man and totally agree on food it's your body and we either support it or fail it.. Great video Bob guys have wonderful day
Nicely done. Minimalism at its finest.
I am so envious of his oven!
Another great video, thanks again Bob. This fellow is living pretty cheap- I think many will be inspired from his way to live as a minimalist.
"A never ending game of Tetris"... SO TRUE! 😄
That's what I am looking into doing. Great job 😊.
I would like to see someone convert a horse trailer to a liveable space, I think it would work great 👍.
Always interesting all your videos Bob , we really learn a lot and preparing for a nomad life, thanks
Two lovely gentlemen, having a great discussion about how to live a healthy, sane, life. Woody's trailer looks comfortable and spacious. Thank you both for sharing.
Thank you for your service! It would be really nice to meet on the road some day. Love your set up
When he mentioned his interest in nutrition i realized how well this guy is doing. This issue of eating well is massive for health maintenance long term and he’s totally figured it out. Well done.
I want this guy's cookbook
Hey Bob does he have a you tube channel? Or a way to contact him?
If you are sleeping in the trailer, how do you lock yourself inside at night to stay safe? Presuming the door lock is the type that only works from the outside.
It’s probably safer for a big guy, not a female alone.
Usually an inside lock on the handle
Great job on the build & lifestyle…curious about the oven….how is it powered….please?
Very nice setup. Thanks Bob for showing us all these wonderful people out there living their best life. I love adventures also.
got my 6×12 interstate loadrunner (w barn doors, as the barn doors are cheaper than the ramp door) for $5,500 brand new in Utah in Sept 2021.
Great for you on your eating plant based. With all the drawbacks of cooking plant based but you manage with what you have. I struggle with all the appliances but still can't cook anything worth eating. I love veggie soups but never seem to get it right. I could live on that... congratulations.
Long as you are off the ground and out of the rain you are doing great.
Outstanding. Only what you need. Nothing more.
Very nice home! ❤️👍
Good story. I’m also no sos and am Whole Foods plant based. It is amazing the difference.
He should do a channel on minimalist health ✌😁. Shopping and prep with some cooking. How to eat out of the home.
Thanks for your service past and present.
I'm hearing a lot of joyful accounts of seniors eliminating their chronic illnesses with improved diet and exercise, and being taken off meds by their doctors because they are now doing well
Love your energy and wisdom❤
Sincerely,
Lm
Great video. Super nice man. Respect and appreciate his service
I just got my cargo trailer finished and will be taking it out to New Mexico next month. 👍
Nice simple setup that really appeals to me. Too much clutter in small space could be stressful. Well done for the healthy eating and sure you will be a huge inspiration to other nomads👍😊
Well said & that’s exactly why I will be doing this! ❤❤
Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.
#Grateful 🙏 love you guys, thank you, #mahalo
Proud of you! That's the way to go WFPB - whole foods plant based!
Very very nice!!👍👍
Very helpful information! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us!
Woody is the best!!!
