Sometimes when I’m feeling down I remember that at least I’m not a wide footer; always felt bad that they just have to take their Ls in the sneaker world and because of that, they just aren’t into sneakers at all.
I had the pegasus 92 back in 93. They were great runners. Mine was black with a hint of silver. Sadly, that colourway has never been given a retro. I've never even been able to find an original. I'd buy them in an instant if nike were ever to bring them back.
Ha, good years for Nike apparently- I snagged a couple pairs of the Tailwind 92 at the outlet a few years back. Looked heavy, turned out to be great shoes though!
@@TheRetroManRandySavage so my first pair was the 04 version when I worked at a shoe store. Used those for exercise. The 92s were supposed to be for casual- they were a super 90s ketchup and mustard looking colorway lol. And the neoprene tongue with 90s font was really nice imo. They became a workout shoe by chance because they ended up feeling way lighter than they looked and were just super sturdy. I am hearing the 41 is a fantastic shoe though. Might have to snag a pair if they do the NFL team colorways this year. D
LOL @6:10 the Joey clip. You guys are on a 90s sitcom roll with this one and the Seinfeld clip of Newman last week. If you folks insert a Frasier joke somewhere it will complete my NBC Must See TV trifecta. Man I’m getting old.
Very insightful!!! My husband is an avid fan of your channel and a subscriber. Thank you for inspiring him, we are also starting a small channel. Keep up the good work!! Goodluck to you and Jodi!😊🎉
The Pegasus is probably the sneaker model I’ve worn the most. They’re always my go-to I throw on when I’m gonna be out for the day. Have had so many pairs I’ve completely trashed bc they’re so comfortable that I refuse to wear anything else.
That is tough. My origin story 1s are my grail sneakers and Jim Starlin signed full run of 1st issue infinity gauntlet is my grail comic. I would have to go with the comics honestly. I met Jim a couple times and he’s a cool guy. I was into comics before sneakers and as much as i love those 1s, the signed copies hold a lot of value to me
"You two should be ashamed, making an old lady faint with your sailor talk." "You should ALL be ashamed...and if your going to talk like sailors, then your going to work like sailors."
QOTD: No comic books, so I'm going for my sneakers. Easy choice for me. It's crazy how one of Nike's longest-lasting models is a mid-tier neutral running shoe. I did a lot of running in the '90s and '00s and the Pegasus was always a solid rotation shoe. (High-level runners usually train in more than one shoe. Sometimes they have specific purposes--like for speed days, recovery runs, or long distance days--but in general, even two pairs worn back and forth last longer than one worn every day, and help avoid injury.) This shoe surviving this long is like if they did 38 models of a team shoe alongside Jordans for all those years. Thanks as always for the review! Here's my comment and up there is my like.
My Nike Air FOG1 (Oatmeal). I love the silhouette of that sneaker and they were made in limited quantities so I know for a fact that 12.5/13 is hard to get.
I've been running since 2017 and I've used a lot of different Nike Outlet specials as my running shoe, and by far, any recent iteration of the Pegasus is my favorite shoe to run in.
I used to wear Pegasus shoes as my everyday shoe then moved to Under Armour shoes for a while. Tried the 38s and the strap on the side of the tongue killed the inside of my foot. Not sure if they were the wrong size or what... wish i could get back into them
I would grab one of my timepieces (watches) over everything! Appreciate the review Fam. I just ordered the Volt Green to run in, but now may need the black and whites for errands.
Very informative video. :) But i have one question. Are these shoes only suitable for running (jogging)? Or are they also suitable for longer shifts in the catering industry to relieve the strain on the back or are other models recommended? I'm looking for the perfect shoes for the 10,000+ steps I take 5 times a week in my restaurant. Best regards :) Thx
For the question: The one thing I would rescue from a fire would probably be Garfield Plush with a Cowboy Hat. Got it from a trip to Austin. Means alot to me.
1: You can get a traditional waffle sole without the cutouts on Nike By You. 👍Nike 2: You cannot design any of the regular-width colorways not available in wide sizes. 👎Nike 3: If I've got enough time to sift through my hoarding to get to either grail, I've got enough time to put out the fire.
Hey mate, if you were to choose one, which is better and good looking, the pegasus 41 or the infinity run 4?? And also, whatsbthe best colorway for the pegasus 41? The volt green? White teal? Or this one???
Correct answer to the QA is to store or display both your grail sneakers and comic book in one place so you can grab both of them in the event of an emergency.
Those Pegasus look really comfy. Looking forward to try those on. For the QOTD: I’ll grab the sneakers. I would only want to look at the comic, not necessarily read it or own it again. As far as the item I would run back in for, I’d grab a pillow made out of my wife’s grandmother’s favorite shirt. We can replace everything else, except that.
Making this comment in first 7 seconds but ever since I saw the Nike Pegasus Premium a few months (maybe a little less) I’ve been sooo hyped for those. They look amazing, and they have the tech to match. My most wanted sneaker in a long time
Great job as always! The shoe looks good. In the question if I had to pick in my case it will be my Mazinger Z 50th anniversary edition figure that my daughter brought me from Japan.
These look like a comfy everyday shoe. I just feel like I have to run in non Nike shoes at this point. I really have nothing that I have to grab as long as the family is safe. But I know the wife needs her backed up photos. So I’ll grab those for her.
Leaving my question again, since it was ❤ed by you two... QUESTION: If you could have one shoe come back every 2-3 years with necessary interior tech/luxury improvements... What would that shoe be?
Hi Chris, i have been watching your reviews for the last 8 years for basketball shoes and lately I have taken up running for my cardio beside basketball. Can you recommend some shoes that as bouncy as basketball shoes and still provide the comfort? Thanks
It's a bit hard for me to have a sneaker or comic book grail because I'm relatively new to collecting both, so with that in mind, I think I'd pick the shoes. As much as I'd love to keep my imaginary original copy of Amazing Fantasy #15, it's going to be difficult to even see pictures of my imaginary signed, game-worn white cement 3s.
Wide pegs!?! ❤❤❤ I can confirm the Achilles blisters from the Epic React 2 although they (eventually stretch enough away from the tendon... eventually...like after you've turned through all of the rubber and half the foam 😅
A pegasus that doesn't suck is good to hear especially after the 37s. Tbh I'm grabbing my birth certificate cause those are more impossible to replace than any grail shoe or comic
Probably the worst running shoes I've bought in years. They are however turned into my everyday non-running sneakers and are very comfortable. I'm a forefoot runner and they bottomed out within a mile. Heel runners probably will have a better experience, but if you are mid to forefoot, I do not recommend at all.
@@zakymaa yes good for walking, but I would only buy them again if they were on sale. If I was going to pay full price, I would look for a comparable Hoka, they have never missed for me.
Pegasus Are Hella Good Casual Or Gym Shoes. I Have The One With The Full Length Zoom & A Hiking Version With React... Both Bouncy & Mad Comfy!!! P.S. East Wing, West Wing,.... Nightwing!!!
At the very top tier I think Nike still owns that category with their Alphafly and Vaporfly performance racing sneakers but below that other brands like Saucony, Asics, New Balance, Hoka, Adidas etc. are better since they have moved the goal post in terms of midsole foam tech that are a bit better than Nike. I'd pick comic book/or even a bunch as much as I can carry safely, with sneakers you can only get hold off at least 2.
1st. Congratulations Nike for 41 years of the Pegasus. I'm not into performance running shoes, but the colorway is clean and the silhouette is nice. 2nd. QOTD : What is your favorite Jordan that Jordan never played in?
man all these questions are so depressing lemme try to lighten it up😂 if you had to design a hybrid jordan using any shoe from the brand’s catalogue, which shoes would you pick and for what purpose (lifestyle, basketball, training, etc.)
The Pegasus and Wrestlemania is how I keep track of how old I am.
