Rowan actualy died a Gryffindor's death which makes me belive that he truly belongs into Gryffindor. Rowling said this:

That's , a game based on Harry Potter franchise , Dumbledore dies , Cedric dies , Tonks dies , Snape dies , many important people die , so it's not such big surprise
I mean it's the same progression as the books, first two were relatively light, then third became a little darker, and then we arrive to the Goblet of Fire and shit hits the fan

There are countless kid-friendly fictional stories(novels, comics, movies, TV shows, video games, mobile games, etc.) that involve tragic deaths. Star Wars films, The Lion King films & our beloved Harry Potter films count among those.

When I found out Rowan died I literally died too 😭😭😭 and I’m not even in year 6 yet. I can’t believe this wish he she didn’t have to die. I’m confuse too though in my game she’s a girl and in here he’s a boy 🤭
If your character is a female, Rowan is a girl, if your character is a male, Rowan is a boy

I played this scene in the bathroom catching a break from my family gathering. I had to prevent myself from screaming out loud and I was so sad. It was so unexpected! I've never been so emotionally hit by a game before!
Whereas I haven’t played this myself, what I bet hurts the most about this is how out of nowhere it is. You see the Dark witch, who was openly villiainous, causing rising stress and anxiety. Then, when Rakepick says the Killing Curse’s incantation, you go “Oh snap!” Then, before you know it, your best friend who you’ve bonded with over the course of the game has been murdered right in front of you.
It's in the head boy/ girl quest that really got me. When she says "we all make choices" I lost it because I tell people that in my real life all the time.
He just wanted to read books on his farm then teach

She was the most shocking part in the game up until this point. I actually cried. They did this part very well. Rowan was there in the beginning. A true friend. Thanks for the video. ❤

The first enemy your character could ever have was Merula but your first friend is Rowan. I couldn’t imagine Merula actually acting nice for once when she knows that your character’s friend dies but I would just think that she would just care less.

Nooo hell no! I haven't been playing this game since its launch to see my best friend dies! This is insane and scary! How did they even think of killing a main character let alone that he/she your first and best friend! I am soooo sad and angry, I literally cried when they were mourning him/her! RIP Rowan you will always be in my heart :(

You should've left the music on for the funeral. Those violins really sealed the deal with the funeral and solidified the fact that hogwarts mystery is taking a dark turn just like the harry potter movies. 😪

It's so sad, Main Character was such an idiot and really not nice to her, drifting apart to do their own things in year 6, we hardly saw Rowan at all. Rowan never managed to do be prefect despite it being her dream (unless we failed the quest), and now wont be able to have a go at Head Girl/Boy, nor become the youngest professor at Hogwarts. And that because out r character was an idiot- constantly sneaking out against better judgement, the death is really on us as much as it is on Rakepick. As a sidenote, I really started liking Ben here, he was so determined and clearly improved so much as a wizard, good on him.
