- In this video, I take you to the great train show in East Moline Illinois
Located on the banks of the Mississippi river this is a new venue for this event in 100,000 square-foot facility
I’ll walk you through the different vendors that were there and then show you and amazing 85’ x 98’ and scale layout.
And once I get home, I’ll show you the items that I picked up.
Stay tuned for my next video where I’ll feature another subscribers, layout.
Choo-choo
Looks like a nice show. Love the big layouts. Thanks for sharing.
Nice hall that piece for the Burro crane clips under the rail and it throughs the reverse switch on the crane like bump and go
Great show wish I could have been there 🎉
I was at that train show yesterday.
I was there from about 10:15 until noon ish.
What did you think about it?
Did you pick anything up?
One thing I Have to Remember model Railroading and Train shows have In Common you can Never get Enough and Your Never Done Withe Either thing .
Cool show, even if it's on the small side. The N scale layout was really impressive! The Marx station is a neat piece. I got one in a lot but it's missing the crossing gate and the other thing. I never looked into the age or anything.
Hey you have a great video this time compared that last one that last video at that other train show you showed of more big scales then HO guage and N scales I did not like that last train show that you where in but this one here you just showed this one is far better its because you showed that super sized N scale layout the size was 98 ft X. Over a 100 ft now that was the biggest N scale I have ever seen on my cell phone hey I loved that N scale layout alot I was happy that you showed every part of that N scale layout hey I m in N scale too I have been in N scale trains for 45 Years and also I m a N scale train Collector as well I will tell you I have in N scale trains I have 125 N scale locomotives and I have well over 5000 train cars to my collection and its still growing thats for sure
Wow , that’s a huge collection. I collect anything that is O scale
That is a nice haul. I've been trying to find an intact Marx station. Yours is actually pretty nice. A little Dawn, well diluted, with a soft cloth, should do the trick. Just be gentle. If you use any wax, just Simonize, Turtle or another brand of Carnauba wax, not polishing compound, which has abrasives and can cause damage to the lithography and only on the roof. You do nice restoration work, so you probably know all of this, already. I can't think of the family's name who sells the coasters, shirts, plaques and other railroad stuff. I've dealt with them at every show that they attend and I always leave with mugs, a plaque or two, coasters and usually an embroidered towel or shirt. They have a very nice selection. An excellent video, as always.
Also, those Marx passenger cars are pretty cool. I have the Santa Fe set, with the diesels. The later cars eliminated the windows and just molded them in, like Lionel did to the later F3's with the port holes. Cleaned-up a bit and they are nice cars.
I hoping I can get the the pick ups and light assembly for these somewhere, maybe through Grossman. I haven’t checked yet.
BTW, I’m planning on featuring your layout on my next video.
@@Pvilletrains Excellent. The light assembly is easy, not sure about the pick-up the trucks. Mine seem to be part of the truck assembly, but they may clip-in. I've never taken one apart. The light replacement is easy, just a screw holds the assembly to the frame, with tabs on the other end. Good luck on the trucks and make a video on how the roller pick-ups are attached.
😊😊😊😊
To bad I was in Arizona....hauled a load from Mississippi....
Great show. Keep those big wheels rollin'..
What kind of rig do you drive?
2023 Freightliner Cascadia. Work for Schneider but haul exclusively for Walmart
Some vendors May Have What you might be Looking for or A Member From a Club My Have what your Lookin for some may Not Have it All N All it’s Good.
When I go to shows, I’m usually not looking for anything in particular unless it’s some type of part that I need and can’t find online. Usually the items that I buy are just something that catches my eye, and I say man I gotta have that.
Great show! Great video! But that American flag on the floor is disrespectful to see! The American flag is never suppose to be placed on the floor. Shame on whoever did that! Totally disrespectful!
That’s not a Big Boy at the beginning of your video, looks to be a Class-A N&W 2-6-6-4
Thanks for the clarification
Yeah, I saw that, too. You beat me to the punch. Just a mild faux pas, no big deal. An excellent video, all the way around.
Edited this video around midnight last night and the old grey cells weren’t working the way the should 😂
I thought I was recording when he told me the story of that engine but once I got home and started working on this video I realized I didn’t have it.
Hello. I'm in my 50s and considering changing careers to be a truck driver, but there is a lot I don't know about that career. I don't know if it is something that I would enjoy either. Do you have any suggestions? - You can persuade me away from it, if you want too. - Thanks.
I started almost 8 years ago at the age of 55 and I absolutely love it. The company I’m with is very good especially as a starter company. We have great equipment and I am on a dedicated account. I get home once a week that is my choice I could transfer to another account that gets me home every day. It just doesn’t pay as well, where do you live?
I am in Montgomery, IL. I have been laid off since June and at age 56 it seems very difficult to get a job. I was a IT SQL Developer.@@Pvilletrains
Montgomery, IL
I just started working. I’ll get back to you sometime after 6 o’clock. I actually lived close to you. I’m in Roselle. If you would like when I have time I can send you my phone number if you’d like to talk to me directly.
Thanks. It is very depressing not having a job when many of the jobs I applied to are ones I'm overqualified for. I can't be certain, but I do suspect age discrimination is part of the reasons. - Thanks again.@@Pvilletrains
I wouldn’t use the flag as a floor to play on. That’s being disrespectful to the flag
I thought that myself
I'm having trouble with thay qr code for the vendor from Dallas, TX. When i scanned it , I was told that I must choose a plan to reactivate the qr code the plan cost $35. Can you please give me the man's web address?
Yeah, I had the same problem. I’m gonna make an update video today letting people know about that. I actually had QR codes put on some new business cards and my TH-cam one works fine but the one link to my Facebook account does the same thing.
