The name entry theme is also one of the Bonus Stage themes as well. I believe it is where you find at least 1 or 2 of the mystic items needed to beat the game. You'll know you are in one when pictured caricatures of the programmers start popping up on screen.
Namco X Capcom was a rpg that came out on the PS2 in Japan. Some of the characters in this game were in that game as well. So Namco included arrangements of their themes. My favorite remix was the medley in Ridge Racer 5. Think it was in one of the Taiko Drum Master games as well.
I remember first seeing it at a Pizza Hut when I was a kid!
11:13

All these years later and this soundtrack is still a masterpiece.
Ah, nostalgia.
Namco Museum Vol. 4 was a really good collection and between Ordyne and this, I played this a lot.

One of my favorite video game soundtracks. Thank you for posting!
This is such a rich soundtrack. I especially love the boss who plays the shamisen(?) rendition of the main theme.
*****
Music of this game imagines three kinds of Japanese traditional musical instrument.
syamisen(三味線)
koto(琴)
syakuhachi(尺八)
Please check it about each musical instrument in TH-cam.

***** Another of biwa(琵琶) is also used.
HiboshiRuru Thank you for the information! I will check these out!
The music is so damn good. I like the shamisen and shakuhachi music, but favorite is Large Mode theme.
Large mode theme rules. After beating Yoshitsune or Benkei you could hear the track for quite a while since the gate is pretty far.
Yoshitsune was remixed in Ridge Racer V as "Samurai Rocket". Great track.
Bangin' track indeed - love how they sampled Kagekiyo's berserker roar, too.
@@BIL0471 Yup! This is why I love Namco's Sound team over the years....always plugging in tributes to Namco's old jams
Along with Benkei and many other parts of the soundtrack, yup! Takahashi made that magic!

That's True, and it's also on 9:25 and 13:05.
Loved hearing some of these remixed in NxC.
FlameAdder what? Please explain.

Not to mention Ridge Racer V
This is a certified hood classic
Elements of this soundtrack was remixed in Ridge Racer V as "Samurai Rocket".
00:31 KAGEKIYO play this song a lot in taiko no tatsujin ^^
04:47 Kagekiyo's theme in Namco X Capcom
10:13 - "Oh shit, it's Proto-Tsunayoshi!"
13:05: Xadx Theme and World Map

what means the voice sample on 0:24 ...?
It is "Thank You"

Whats the sound chip was used in these consoles im familiar with fm synths but these sounds are kinda different.
Why does the credit thing sound like it's saying "I EAT PAPAYA!"
lol
BTW, she says "Arigataya" (ありがたや : Thnaks).
What does it mean?
I told you Arigataya means "Thanks"
Hahaha cute
Right transliteration is Arigatou
