- Today, we are going to take a look and review the Yolink Outdoor Battery Powered Smart Siren that has a siren horn and not a wimpy speaker. This is advertised to have a 110 dB loudness but you have to watch the video because this siren is louder than that. This is also a smart siren and integrates with Alexa, Google, IFTTT but in this video, I will set it up to show how versatile this siren is and not just to be used for your home.

Yolink is the Best. I own several of their long-distance motion sensors. Works great every time... Definitely recommend and worth the $$$$.
A clarification about one detail you mentioned. You can use D2D or device to device pairing of the siren and the sensor but that sensor also has to be yolink and not ring. That way you can literally have the system contained in your car where ever you are with no hub, no power and no wifi needed, brilliant.
Love your review, like the fact that Yolink uses Lora protocol giving you quite a bit of extended range.
Thank you.
I’m a big fan of yolink. I have several devices around my property.
You are legend thank you so much
hopefully this can be paired to Eufy's Alarm system and work instead of Eufy's terrible silent siren
I love that you are discussing smart routines and creative smart home set up 😍
Was that emoji really necessary 💀💀
@@arlowavesYT Absolutely! This TH-camr works hard, and his videos are some of my favourite online. Looking at the head emojis you left, I appreciate and respect if hearts are not your thing, that's fine. There is enough space in the world for us all to express ourselves authentically. 🌈What did you think of the video?

I didn't know about the brand until now. Looks to be good quality products. I like!
They have a lot to offer, from gate sensor, water leak sensor, driveway alert and more....
Great video! YoLink LoRa is great wireless technology, I changed almost all my devices to YoLink devices.
Thanks. Yolink products are pretty good.
All I have to say my man, nobody should ever never! Never! Never come to your home. It would be like trying to commit a crime at the PENTAGON!!!🤣🤣🤣
:)
Thanks L.H.
You are welcome.
Have lots and lots of sensors in two houses. YoLink is amazing.
This is nice but if they have motion sensor option, it would be better to deter catalytic converter theft.
I agree, however I could see animals setting it off if they crawl under your vehicle. Our neighborhood has wandering cats that like to hide under my truck at night all the time.
I’ll be making a separate video using a vibration sensor.
Thanks,
Nice!
nice
you should do a review between eufy and ring alarm systems
I can’t find this anywhere in the UK. Is it only a US company?
I like your channel! I bought a ring stick up indoor outdoor cam and a indoor wired cam. Set them up and they worked great. Went on vacation and they worked great for three days and now suddenly offline. Can’t reconnect remotely. Which isn’t great for security when you need it. I always have power at my house. Other devices never have problems connecting to internet. So why now?!
Usually with Ring, it will automatically reconnect when power or internet went out.
Hey, are you going to review the new Reolink video doorbell in the future? Would be pretty nice.
Can you make a video on Ring's updated warranty, your thoughts and what it means for the consumer? Thanks!
Hey sir....plz do a review on Tenda Cp7 Camera
In the cold weather those batteries probably would not last long do they have a plug in
Tanks for this impressive details:)! Just want to ask if the sensor which connects to siren can detect the vibrations during catalytic converter stealing?
Hello, thank you for the review! So I have to be in the same radius to activate the alarm? Or could I activate it from another city?
I have a shed like yours but no power. I was thinking about solar panels and an inverter for mine, to power a light and charge tools that I use often.
You certainly can..
Can I use it with the YOLINK motion sensor hub and system.
Can connect the Yolink to a Ring alarm with routines?
Question I just want it for the panic feature so would I still need the hub
Will this sense motion underneath car for catalytic theft??
Hi. Can I set it up to wake me up to go to work ? Like a regular clock alarm. I’m a deep sleeper lol
That’ll make someone think twice about ripping off your stuff. As for the siren volume I think the dB rating is taken from a meter away.
Thank you.
Greetings sir, this product works outs USA ???
Hi Sir - I use the Wyze OG for Light + Siren on a schedule. Its not good enough. Could you kindly recommend a good siren for motion that can be set on a schedule?
Now we just need some sort of motion sensor to monitor when someone is underneath hacking off the catalytic converters
I’m going to make another video using yolinks vibration sensor.
Great idea i’m thinking about the inside the car setup as seen in the video with a motion sensor temporary under the car held by magnet or velcro when parked in driveway or on the street at home about $150 in parts . Already tried Simpli Safe sensor in my car works great .
@@vmobile890 I would keep it under the truck at all times, but bad roads and high speed would probably knock it off. Unless can be Zipp tied around the frame, and not be damaged by rocks
@@LifeHackster that would be nice but theres a video that tested those alarms fot cat theft, but they can cut it right off before sawing of the cat. So a motion senser is way better cause it would go off BEFORE the see alarm and cut it out. Super sensitive too. I don’t really care if it goes off easily, it’s better than coming out to car to go to work and finding its ben stolen,
Just happened to me yesterday 😢 my whole week will be tied up with this mess not to mention the costs involved and only to have it taken again.
I want a system that wakes me up on my phone too..LOUD!! I want to catch them in the act😠
Lifehackster I have a question for you and please let me know. I both a ring floodlight from OfferUp and floodlight is like new but we can not install because the owner took the info or sticker so how can we install another way. Thanks we don’t have the .Mac address
Can it use 4G rather than WiFi? Or how would it connect to my phone.
Eufy should make this and connect it with eufy home security system .
I agree.
Is there a way to sound the Yolink siren when the ring alarm goes into alarm? That would be awesome since they no longer offer an outdoor alarm.
Yes, I use the Alexa routines to link the Ring sensors to the YoLink siren. It works very well
Not to the Ring alarms base station..but to Ring sensors using routines.
@@brianslick8065 YoLink siren on Ring Alarm activation not just a sensor. But thanks!
Hi mate, could this system work in India ?
Do you need sensors for the system to work, or does the black box have 1 installed already?
Blackbox doesn't have one. It will need separate sensors to have the siren trigger automatically.
Can you have two of these on one property?? Like one for the front yard and one for the back? This is all I need.. nothing else..can I just buy this with two sensors? One for front and back yard?
Yes, I have 2 outdoor sirens and 1 indoor siren. Whenever there is alert event (leak sensor, motion sensor, door sensor...) will trigger off all three sirens.
Yes, you can. Just 1 hub.
How many can you add? Like I want 1 downstairs, one upstairs, and one in the garage, if one is stripped I want all of them to sound the alarm
i would say yes you can
This is exactly what I want. I've got the old Arlos, and I don't want to upgrade. The Arlo alarm is indoors. I want it outdoors, so the freaks, weirdos, and thieves, can hear it in the yard, loud and clear. Should I make it visible, or hide it behind a plant? Hmm...
I have a eufy camera system with homebase 2. Is it possible to link this siren to my eufy door contacts or window contacts directly without going through Alexa?
Yes, you can use Alexa routine to trigger off the YoLink siren
As what Brian said…yes you can.
@@brianslick8065 Thank you but I was hoping for a direct fix rat5her than going through Alexa which at my house can sometimes be slow.
Is the phone notification alarm able to wake most people up, so that they may report the crime in progress?
Is it home assistant compatible?
Yes
Does it has a monthly fee or is free monitoring?
No monthly fee for the setup he described (buy Yolink hub, siren, door sensor; use your phone running free Yolink app).
What did he say
I don't have Alexa, but Google how I trigger the alarm?
As far as I know, you cannot setup routines with google to use smart devices but you can use voice command to activate the alarm.
Bought mine yesterday
so do you need wifi for this to work??
If you pair the sensor to the siren controller directly, it will work without internet.
For app access, phone notifications and scheduling you will need a hub but you can directly connect the sensor to the siren using D2D control..but you will not be able to schedule it.
💐🌹🌷💐
Do you need WiFi ??
Unfortunately, I wouldn't trust Alexa routines to manage the security of my house. Native YoLink automations yes, Alexa routines no. I've found them to be quite unreliable.
Its better to NOT have anyone get inside your car. Can this be used as an outdoor motion alarm? That way they never get into your car and are scared off many feet away from your car instead.
The car door checking thieves and the porch pirates are out of control.
Alex-A 😂😂😂😂
catalytic converter crooks aint gonna like this one !
I just want you to know I hate the title of this video so much....
Good to know.
This now can't connect to any devices. Alarm siren is nonstop in the app and can't be stopped can't install battery's w/o it physically going off. vibration sensitivity now is un adjustable can't connect either. I don't buy anything that stops working in the 1st 24 hours it goes strait back to refund. Whats going on? Is this going back too?
