Great video again! I would like to mention that YoLink has another alarm that isn't as loud, but still rated at 110 db that uses their D2D pairing (direct device to device) which means it would work in your truck when you're totally out of range of a YoLink hub. Also, I'd bet you could take a YoLink relay and a modified Ring door switch to make your truck alarm system trigger your Ring alarm. Of course this would require the truck be in range of the YoLink Hub. Keep up the good work!

I just bought and set up a new YoLink hub and a few of the sensors. I must say - I am VERY impressed with this system. I am especially impressed with the fact the the manual is in ENGLISH and is WELL WRITTEN. I love it. The siren is next on my list of must have accessories. Thanks for the demo.

I am new to all the security options available in general, so this may be a dumb questions, but here goes: I have a family member w dementia who has been leaving the house and getting lost. I am also a heavy sleeper so I need something very loud. Question is I would be able to turn off during the day while home, but can activate any time or while I’m out using just the phone app?

You can use the alarmfob or keyfob to activate and deactivate stuff too. It can run a scene that You can create in the app, or if you tie it to your Alexa device, you can have it control devices that are outside of the yolink app. The 4 button fob is actually 8 buttons. It has a short and long press for each button. Both short and long presses work with the yolink app. However, Alexa only acknowledges the short presses. I’d have the top button as a panic alarm since in the most natural area to grab, especially under stress. My panic button turns on all the lights, sirens and red/blue strobe lights with one short press. To shut it off, l use the long press.

I bought the loud alarm and the hub thinking I could put it in my truck, but there is no sensor. I just ordered the indoor motion sensor for this system to put in my pickup truck and I'm hoping it only sees motion inside of the vehicle and it isn't tripped by trees blowing in the wind that it seen through the glass. Some sensors see through glass and some don't. I just want the alarm to go off if my doors are opened. Of course I am getting this stuff AFTER I had about $700 worth of tools and a speaker stolen out of my truck in the middle of the night.

Wow. I'm playing with this thing and when i put the siren in the bedroom and I am 30 or 40 feet away in the living room, my phone app kept saying it couldn't connect to the siren. After several tries it would connect. One time it said it couldn't connect when I hit the button to turn on the siren in the phone app, it said can't connect, but it did start the siren. Is this thing garbage or am I messing up somehow? WTF? I was really happy a moment ago at how this all worked, but if it won't work in the bedroom, it's certainly not going to work outside, in a metal truck, 5 or 6 times farther away and with more walls to travel through. The App also says the alarm is online and it's wanting me to press the button "Stop Siren", as if the siren is going off, even though I pulled the batteries out of it. I am starting to think this yolink stuff is garbage that doesn't work.
