great backing track.. i just learning some scales . but couldnt remember any . so still noodling everywhere.. actually this track gives me the idea to use harmonic minor.. and thats cool my friend 🙏
Wow, that's pretty rare to find indeed. I just released a couple of tracks with only drums and bass so you can practice rhythm. Take a look at this one th-cam.com/video/lZNpz_2zBJE/w-d-xo.html
Bro!! Practice your rhythm to this!! Mix up the e chord, tha A and the B in different positions. Skynyrd had 3 geetars… only one to compete with here. Follow his lead. Make it your own. Own it!!!
the hardest thing of improvising is finding things that sounds good. i mean, also knowing all pentatonic shape and how to use them togheter, you still cant just play a scale up and down. and what i play usually get boring in few seconds
I know most are probably soloing over the back tracks but I'd love to learn the rhythm parts on guitar. Does anyone have any good leads on learning cool grooves on the guitar(like this one).
Hey brother! What I usually do is listen to the guitarists I like the most, like Eric Clapton and SRV, and try to learn their licks by ear. Then I create something similar. It's a good starting point until you come up with your own ideas, and basically, everything they play is within the pentatonic scale, which makes the process easier.
Follow your nose bro.. play the E the A and the B in different positions.. chop it up how you like it. Make it yours. Skynyrd had 3 geetars all playing the same chords in different positions, only one guitar here to follow. Plenty of room for you!!
@@backingtrackscenter it’s a model of Leslie speaker: the initial video I thought I was replying to was one before yours where a guy had rigged a guitar up to his Leslie 125… 😃
Hey brother! The major seventh doesn’t fit well in these rock and blues harmonies because they always use chords with a minor seventh. Even when the chord doesn’t have a seventh, it’s implied that if it did, it would be a minor seventh. Try using the Mixolydian mode, as it will fit better, or the classic mix of major and minor pentatonics.
Yeah man blues theory is actually surprisingly complicated for what it is, but short answer is that the blues and rock are inherently dark sounding genres. This is a blues rock kind of vibe, so even though the chords are major, it’s actually the best stylistic fit to play in a dark key, which is a minor key. Theres a whole theory rabbit hole as to why the minor key works better that you may find interest in, but at the end of the day the minor key is a safe bet for improvising. If you want to explore, you can branch off into more intricate territory like sprinkling in major, dorian, and chord tones that the guitar greats utilize once you’re comfortable with the minor key.
Basically if you want to sound bluesy, you'll play a minor scale over a major chord, if not, you'll play it straight, a major scale over a major chord.
Learn chord structure for major and minor triads! Play them in a key up and down the guitar neck. Play them with backing tracks in that key. Start slow, but play them a lot in different arrangements. Before long the guitar neck will make a lot of sense! But triads are the key to connecting the major and minor scale. Good luck!
@@backingtrackscenter and we can thake a Microphone, Guitar or a Bluesharp for a easy to play session and all people out there will be happy for this moment. Thats is the magic of a simply Blues
It is E major. E minor is the vi of G. You can play a major pentatonic or a minor pentatonic over this. The reason minor pentatonic works over the Emaj is because it gives the #9 sound as opposed to m3rd. Also, A isn't in G major. Cheers!
@jamestoddguitar1433 if in g major a minor is the second tone called dorian. Most of the time when something is a minor key it will be the 6 of the major tonic 3 semitones up from a 6 is the tonic.
@@joebustos6413 what you said here is correct but not relevant to the key of the video. You could play an E Dorian over this whole track, but that is in a way a more flavourful E minor pentatonic, if used tastefully.
@@joebustos6413 if anything, the song is all V chords. The E is treated as a mixolydian 5 chord moving to the A, then the A becomes a mixolydian dominant sound, moving back to E. Then to B mixolydian and so forth.
