Played along to this on my porch while watching a hurricane pass by today. Such a chill vibe. Thank you.
Bro, are you using a B blues pattern?
I’ve never really understood notes, I play by hearing and just listening really and this....this allowed me to do things I’ve never done...I can’t really explain. I just kinda gave my soul. So thank you for this.
Exactly the same for me dude. I just close my eyes listen and play. It's such an amazing experience once you really get in the zone
@@thijmen6451 bro frrr like there’s only been like a couple times where I’ve actually given myself chills, I’m nowhere near a great guitarist, but JUUST enough to see I did something sick 😂 cheers!
@@yungcharg7292 feel that bro all the way, makes you start to sing with the strings. I fucking love these backing tracks
Me too, I mean I do know the theory but not really. This made me actually feel it and come up with things I never would have, rather then endless repeating licks I've done a million times actually slowly playing each note and learning what fits ended up with something so much better than I ever played before in 18 years. Between cheap pedals 200 buck tube amps that sound amazing, instructional videos and these amazing backing tracks it really is a great time to play guitar. Wish I had all that when I started out, I'd me much further along.
I think following the chord changes is key. I.e. knowing which notes sing out outer each particular chord.
Classy !
I was suddenly rocking licks that had me in a 1%'er cocktail lounge / restaurant , in a tux on a non-to-do side stage with a grizzled African-American percussionist-drummer...a fuzzy haired lanky dude who was all legs under his bass guitar held up to his rib cage...and a drop dead glamour in an evening gown playing the stage-centred black grand piano...
And then there's me... playing my Pelham Blue SG Spesh, P90 in the neck, (Jason Lollar) minihumbucker in the bridge playing thru a Hotrod Deville with just a couple of pedals...dropping the most sophisticated, suave ad lib lead fills of my life.
And then the backing track / dream ended!
Damn. You really dig this track.
@@mma1st105 Nah, just on some good drugs, that day, I think! 😂
@Porter Kyng y would U want to hack ur friend's insta?
@@lueymeteora1410 hahahahahhahahaha
@@lueymeteora1410man I’m on some good drugs rn and I really like seeing peoples minds go to other places, especially with music, I’ve had thoughts/dreams exactly like that. Music is a powerful thing
Currently playing along with this to relieve stress of doing exams
AMEN
i'm actually in the same position
Rock on brother.
hell yeah
Hats of for Kirk! This is a guy that easily could pay a guitar tech to set up his rig and tweak it to perfection before this interview. Instead he just plug in an play with at best a “practise” sound. Of course he knows that there going to be a lot of negative comments but he’s got the courage to show that he is just a ordinarie human being that happens to play in one of the worlds most successful bands. I’ll personally think that this kind of approach plays an important role for young kids that start to play today. Because TH-cam is flooded with unknown guitarist that plays incredible difficult material without even sweating.
What
I must've played along to this 50 times.....so good, thanks
Glad you enjoy it!
Picked you out of the crowd years ago ....... I did this for a living ..... hands gone now but thanks to you I can still have fun although rather painfully however a few glasses of wine dulls the discomfort !! many thanks for all you do for us especially the younger players................. you give them hope and a good example of " feel " .........!!
Eyes closed, tone rolled back, completely lost in this.pure magic
By far my favorite backing track that alowed me to play along, and find some simple melody licks that fit well. Please make more like this. I'm sure that your 2.2 million other viewers of this one would agree.
I played along with this doing my g minor scale it was really fun!
Thank you so much for this backtrack...it inspired my fingers to discover a Carlos Santana sound I'd been heartfully searching for, for months. Definitely a keeper.
Funny you said that!! It evoked a Carlos feel for me as well. Awesome track, man!
Definitely perfect to practice ones' Carlos feel! After playing guitar for over 45 years and improvising over Santana for thousands of hours I can nail soloing over these chords effortlessly. The key is to hear how whatever note in the scale you land on relates to the underlying chord and let that inspire your next phrase. Often you can play the same phrase over the next chord in the progression and it will take on a different character. The key is lyricism. It took me decades to discover that. Phrase like a vocalist. Phrase over the bars. Don't always start or end a phrase on the "one" beat.
I started playing guitar at the age of 15. 25 years ago. I used to play until my fingers would crack and just hurt too much to go on. I recently was able to afford a real Paul Reed Smith guitar and it ignited my passion because that was always my dream guitar. These tracks are absolutely amazing! I just think of how much they would have helped me back when I was a teenager.
It's weird how you can lose that. I used to play till blood blisters
what a tasty tune!! jamming to this is super fun!!!
Holy cow, I didn't realize it was 10 minutes. Bravo for getting me so lost in playing along that I didn't feel the time pass
I really love the production in these backing tracks. Well produced and it feels like any guitar tone I can come with fits right in. Thank you so much for the cool and high quality tracks to play to.
This track is noodle heaven. One of your best ever? One million + hits and counting - the numbers don't lie
Great job, thank you for your contribution. I like adding a little B Harmonic Minor on the F#7#9# lots of fun!
Finally a track I I love and identify with and can scream my solo….not that the neighbours like it but they know I picked up my guitar again..thank you
This got me feelin like a proper bluesman
This is going to melt knicker elastic on a cold night.
This isn't my normal type of backing track, but man did I get into it. Well done!!
This was incredible. Thank you!
This is prolly the best backing track ive heard yet great job!
I've just saved it I'm a guitarist, beginner of course, and I love play that with a delay, very good
I am a devoted Quist guy but this one I've been hitting hard. GOOD JOB! Make one 45 mins!

Very high quality backing track!
Very nice 👍 it's mellow yet soulful so I grabbed my P90 guitar, added just a touch a growl 😀
THAT GUITAR IS SICK!!!!!!!
I've been learning lately a lot thanks to you .
On the off chance someone with a Fender Mustang Micro amp is jamming to this, Try this setting: Yellow, Red, Lt Green, White. That guitar tone just melts into this.
Thanks to you, I love your backtracks 🎶 🎶 🎸 so much
New to backing tracks I’m happy I chose this as my first
Welcome to the backing track family
Nice and good, super love ❤️ 🙏🎶🎼🎵🎸✌️🍀👌🇮🇱 I really like to play in this key, I just opened this track yesterday and played a solo.
I can get pretty emotional playing with this one
I second that. I got an almost acoustic tone dialed in with the neck and middle position on my strat and let my soul pour out on this one.
Damn son! It's super chill to jam with. Too notch stuff as usual.
Amazing job, Amazing guitar
best backing track i've found!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful track, ive just an hour playing over the top of this and pouring my soul into my guitar.
thats whats up
Amazing to watch a beautiful guitar being made it makes you appreciate the work goes into making a guitar .
Love your style. Real good.
Beautiful 🎸❤️ My fingers dancing on the moonlight now 😁
Got lost in that one. Loved it.
Very smooth and tasty! The production quality is excellent as ever!
Love this jam!!! I'm studying jazz and I need to get this out: was playing a half-whole diminished scale over F#7+9 and the 6th (Eb) didn't sound good. Replaced it with F#7alt (understood to be +9, b13), to play the altered scale over it, and it would instead have a flat 6th (or sharp 5), which would be D, and that would fit into the F#7alt - Bm7 (V-I) progression better. It's taking so long to put these scales to work, but I'm starting to see things now. Let's say your tracks are elevating me ;)
I've just starting going through all your stuff at 1.25 playback and this in particular is really nice for me at that speed. Like a different flavour altogether.
Currently playing this on my bass
Thanks for this awesome Btracks, from Barcelona
My brain feel like Guthrie Govan when i play on this backingtrack thx so much bro !
Very cool "end of the week" and peaceful backingtrack. Love the feels over F#7#9 with the #5 in it. Always a pleasure to play with you ;)
Really excellent soulful blues. Great pleasure playing along with this and all your masterful works.
this was a blast.... thank you so much
I did vocal improv with this and it was amazing thanks for making this🦋🦋✨✨
He's playing a F#aug chord in this whenever you see the F#7#9. nice tracks brother!
Best of all for real. Top notch and all that. Others are great too but only this one gets me in this magical zone. I can rock to this for hours!
yes, seductive describes this backing track perfectly
Thank you very much for this backing track. It does elevate and inspire my knowledge to understand the mods.
Merci !
this is the best one
in my opinion this is the best BT of elevated jamss, thanks al lot!
Great backing track I loved the laid back soulful vibe
this one was lit
Beautiful. This is a track to milk those notes too 👍
these are the best jam tracks on YT. Thank you sir! (nice playing btw)
I was so inspired that my wife tought I was high... This was such an amazing backtrack... thanks so much
really love this one!
I love all the different guitars you play!
Dude, keep up. This is it.
After 45 years of playing the standard Blues pentatonic scale I just learned to play in the "BB box". Man, how effortless it is! Why on Earth did it take me so long to figure it out? I'll tell you how I phrase my licks in the BB box. You cats know Muddy Waters' song Champagne Blues -- "Give me champagne when I'm thirsty, give me reefer when I wants to get high (Ain't messin' 'round with no cocaine)"? That's how I phrase Blues licks. Think also of BB's phrasing in "How Blue Can You Get". Learn the BB BLUES BOX! (I wish I did 45 years ago.)
Oops, I commented on the previous video! This one is a minor groove.
I love this
Nice
amazing!!!!!!!!
Fantastic
Nice guitar!
Phenomenal backing track! Perfect for a rainy day
Great track- reminds me of Jeff Buckley's "Lover You Should Have Come Over"!
With my brand new (first ever) Klone, on my pretty new GIbson SG Spesh and thru the good old hotrod Deville...this track was just too good! Over like that 👌snap! Imma go straight back to the start - like a kid at the water slides !
My god that was fun!
Che bella chitarra il colore mi fa impazzire che modello è
nice compo mate
Very very similar to "Harder" by Chris Brown from his recent album Breezy
Love the jam track mahn!
man what a temper!
Very nice...thank you.
Loved it!!!!
Super!
Great backing track. It just needs one of your fab solos tagged on the end. C'mon EJT re-record it and wow us.
Did you create the image of the Aeolian? I hit your tracks time to time they're really solid guy. Thank you!
Awesome 😎
Currently playing this on my Bass
In the verse.. that's not a F#7#9 that you are playing, is it? At least not in the video in. From what I understand, this is a F#7b13, am I wrong? For me it also looks like you are playing a 7b13 shape chord, right?
I discovered this because I was wondering how you are gonna play the hendrix chord on the sixth string.
Btw, still absolutely beautiful backing track, love it
Outstanding backtrack
tu eres parte de mi yo soy parte de ti
