If it’s just a copyright claim, then, it’s fine. You don’t have to take out a entire clip.
A copyright *STRIKE* on the other hand, is waaaaay more serious, resolve a strike immediately.

Both wave idents are just so beautiful. Pleasing to the eye and utterly soothing with an excellent backing track it is one of the most memorable idents out of BBC 2. Its a shame I wasn't born in this era to see it air and I missed it in 2014

While the current BBC2 ident package is OK, it could never hold a candle tho this classic package. Let's hope that someday they will commission something as good as this or better, though I suspect that will be a tough task.

In Catalyst, the drops were actually lighter fluid and the 2 was really hot!!

When they started re-using these idents in 2014,did they remake them or use the original video?

Brandon Martin-Moore It was the original video but remastered in HD and the new logo in the bottom left or right hand corner.

Just an FYI on Arthurian legend - the sword in the stone and Excalibur are not the same swords. At least in some versions. In those, Excalibur is gifted upon Arthur by the Lady of the Lake, to whom it is returned upon his death. Excalibur could literally cleave anything in two (it's name translates as Hard Cleft), but Excalibur's scabbard also had magical properties. Whoever wore it wouldn't bleed from any wounds obtained in battle. Morgan le Fay (Arthur's half sister) stole it after Arthur killed her lover in battle.
