- On Memorial Day of 2012, we traveled to Rahns, Pennsylvania to visit the oldest live steam club in the eastern US: The Pennsylvania Live Steamers. Since 1946, they were represented in 3 different scales, Gauge 1(the garden size trains) & the ridable trains, 1 inch scale & 7.25 in gauge. We filmed all kinds of trains from steam to diesel & electric engines. We even filmed on two trains for the ultimate PLS experience. We even had a special guest with us that weekend: Christopher Kovacs aka trainmaster844. This is The Pennsylvania Live Steamers at its finest. Enjoy.

Is this place open to the Public? Id love to visit Im in Western PA not to far
IDK, it's been 6 years since I visited. They haven't had public runs since 2009 because of insurance costs. But you can visit during the meets but you have to sign a register application & wear a wristband so the PLS members know you're a registered guest. Hope that helps.
Normally not open to the public live Steamers usually only
