It's so clean, so new, and it's so spotless!! They must have done that just to make sure everything is all hygienic.
indeed they do a very good job maintaning the bldg. they are also doing some renovations as of writing
Definitely agreed that it is one of the best airports in the world!
👌🏼🫶🏼
This airport is 25 years old. . . . . . But I hope that will continue to grow in the future!
it will! its just began using its 3rd runway and their working towards the HKIA airport city :)
Another great sharing. Can't wait to experience it in Nov. Thanks.

Definitely one of the best in the world! Thanks for sharing!❤
my pleasure! cheers! 😊
I was in Hong Kong with my sister during the three-day weekend for Philippine Independence (June 12), taking just one day off work on June 9. I remember eating here at 15:01 for lunch before our return flight just before noon for Manila. But my first time through HKIA was way back in 2000 when I took a Manila-HK-Sydney round trip ticket and almost missed the gate to my Sydney flight! And prior to that our college institution group had an overnight stay in HK from Beijing following an international conference there in August 1996 so I got to experience the old Kai Tak Airport less than a year before the handover. By the way I could hear snippets of Filipino in your departure area.
i am impressed with your detailed recollection. seems you are well travelled and its amazing you experienced the old airport, must have been a different experience back then. Yep, my flight was going to Manila on the video, so lots of Pinoys excited to go home 😊
I actually gone to Hong Kong a few weeks ago, I took on so many train rides, the words "Please Stand Back From the Train Door" were lodged into my memory. 0:17 I also remember going here.
yeah, along with "please mind the gap" and "please use the handrails" lol
Wow! This looks like a really beautiful airport to visit! One of these days I may go to Hong Kong but I'll have to get a passport first!
yes! beautiful and more importantly, convenient! awesome! hong kong waits for you 😉
Hello friends, have a nice trip and bring many beautiful memories. I love you, thank you.
i guess you're speaking to everyone at large? hehe. Thanks for the comment!
22:10 kakilala ko sila finding this to have an idea how do hk airport look like because I will be travelling soon very helpful❤❤❤❤
oh wow, small world! glad you enjoyed and hope you can travel to HK soon 😊
i will arrive Hong Kong on 12 May!! WOW!!!
Oh wow, thats pretty soon. Hope you enjoy your holiday / stay here in HK! :)
@@walkinginhongkong thank you 🥰
Peak time (in my opinion) for this airport was 2016-2018. Good times!
agree! goldean years!
Hoping to return in this city that I know very well since more than 10 years
When you film the streets take care, please, to indicate or film the name of the street, it allows us to recognize and situate correctly where you are and note the changes year per year
its so different now from 10 years ago, so please come visit when you can. thanks for the thoughtful idea, I will consider that for my next videos. Cheers! 😊
My last trip there was in 2018 just before COVID and troubles
3 years back on my transit to Sanfransico -at Hongkong airport - I got a place for shower $10 for 15mins - I enjoyed it & on my return after 3 months I could not find it after searching at many areas - even I asked help desk no use - I missed it
oh really? I know its still there in the arrivals area, should be near gate 12 and 43 hehe.
What the device use? It’s very clear !!
Thanks! I'm only using my Iphone 14pro max mounted on a DJI osmo 6 gimbal 😊
Nice video. Though I still noticed quite a few shops closed (maybe it was time of the day). Also masks are everywhere.
thank you! yes, maybe 85% of stores are open now. yeah a lot of Hongkongers are still very cautious and wear masks esp. on airports :)
Arriving in 🇭🇰 next Tuesday!
awesome!! how long are you staying here for?
@@walkinginhongkong Three weeks!
@@davidharris2151 thats great! Let me know if you need some recommendations 😀
@@walkinginhongkong I will! I've gotten a lot of ideas from a variety of You Tube channels including yours so thank you
@@davidharris2151 glad to help bud!
I had a layover in Hong Kong for 5hrs from Toronto to Manila earlier this year in May 2023. Best airport I’ve been to and I do miss those CNIM escalator sounds. When did you film this video?
This was filmed on 3rd of May this year. It's a lot busier now and shops have reopened. Have you seen the Sky Bridge? they offer stunning views of the hangars and the runway
@@walkinginhongkong Oh that’s cool. I arrived at Hong Kong on May 4 early morning from Toronto. I did visit the sky bridge but not the sky deck since I didn’t know it existed but when I go again next year I will. Also I heard there’s 2 McDonald now but one was on the other side of the terminal and didn’t know how to access it. Definitely a lot to explore in HK airport
@@Gingy_the_cookie yeah you should definitely visit that! the new McDonalds is big and is like a lounge, also near the sky bridge :)
best
like you 😀
Please film more hk airport videos
hehe will try to do another one 😉
Please film a lot of Hong Kong videos
yep, that's the plan! 😊
I heard that i can like exchange cash for a pre paid card there or something i forgot what its called i want to know if you can use it to pay for the trains or just anything in common? Im going to hongkong in the next 4 months
you're talking about the Octopus card. Yes, you can purchase it in the airport and use it to pay for transportation, groceries and restaurants. Have a great trip! 😊
@@walkinginhongkong thanks
I have one doubth if flight is from Bangkok to India and 9 hours layoff in Hong Kong should get custom clear and visa to recheck the checkin baggage in airport or oly Bangkok visa it's enough to recheck for onward flight
not entirely sure what your asking but if youre asking if 9 hours is enough to exit airport and explore the city a bit before your connecting flight then the answer is YES. It should be enough time to sight see (you should meticulously plan this tho), instead of staying in the airport for 9 hours 😊. Goodluck!
You dont need to get out the airport, you can just go through the transit screening and go straight to the departure level. But it is best to go out and do something
What camera did you use?
i use my Iphone 14 pro max mounted on a dji osmo 6 gimbal 😊
@@walkinginhongkong thanks
not bad
😊🙏🏻
Does the train go to the city center 24/7?
not 24/7. First train is after 5:00am and last train is before 1:00am 🙂
I’ll go to Hong Kong on November but I’m so scared idk how to check out. Please help I’ll get lost at the airport for sure😅
haha. no its quite atraightforward to check out. just follow everyone to the immigration (there are dozens of signages so you wont miss it). after that will be the bag carousels, then customs, then youre done. you can either take the buses or the airport express (train) to the city. you can locate these by asking at the Information counter (after customs). Hope that helped hehe
and have fun on your HK trip! 🫶🏼
did you start t tying yi?
not sure what you mean here 😁
@@walkinginhongkong like did you start at tying yi station? (The third station on the airport line)
@@GabShortsYT oh I see! no I started at Hong Kong station :)
Which country are you going to visiting?
I was going to then Philippines for holiday 😊
@@walkinginhongkong Oh! That sounds awesome!!
Hello! asking permission to use some of the your clips in airport for my b-roll travel vlog in Hongkong.
I will give proper credit to the owner. :)
hello. Sure, go for it. do you mind to put credits on screen when you show my footage? thanks!
@@walkinginhongkong sureee :) thankss!
Hong Kong work visa issue please
not in the airport but in the Immigration Department :)
Is there mask mandate at the airport as of now?
no more mask mandate in the airport. Some aitlines however may require facemasks on-board still (not sure now)
Covid is finished but a lot people still have face mask🤦
at the time of filming I think the restrictions were freshly lifted. now less people are wearing masks 😉
Its a really mediocr Airport imo
interesting. care to explain why you think that?
@@walkinginhongkong the entrance Looks more Like a Central train Station and the roof Looks exactly Like the Metro Station fröttmaning in munich. Apart from that i think that the Things that Set good airports apart from excellent ones is natural light. And i think that there you can do more. Its Not Bad dont understand me wrong. I Just think one of the best is a little much. Its good.
@@dennis2477air points! I would say though that my considerations when I said "one of the best" is on its accessibility and operational efficiency. with the airport express and several bus routes, its easy to travel between the city and HKIA. airport processes are also straightforward and quick, even transfer. Sure, the airport isnt aesthetically the best (still debatable), with points I mentioned, still falls within my "one of the beat airport list"
@@walkinginhongkong thats true. Service is of course a whole different part and there i have to admit it is very good. And also very nice Video btw 👍
@@dennis2477 thanks man! appreciate it 😊
